How to set the time manually?
To set the time manually, press and hold the MODE button for 2 seconds. The 12/24HR display blinks. Use the + and - buttons to select the time format, then press MODE to confirm. Then, set the time zone, hours, minutes, date, day language, etc., by following the blinking indicators. After 20 seconds of inactivity, the clock returns to normal mode.
How to activate DCF radio-controlled time reception?
When inserting batteries, the clock automatically searches for the DCF signal. For a manual search, press and hold the WAVE button for 2 seconds. The antenna icon blinks. If reception is successful, the icon remains steady. Automatic synchronization occurs at 1 AM, 2 AM, and 3 AM.
What to do if the antenna icon disappears (DCF reception failure)?
If the antenna icon disappears, it means reception has failed. The clock will automatically retry on the next full hour (up to 5 attempts). You can also start a manual search by pressing and holding WAVE. Make sure the clock is placed at least 2.5 meters away from interference sources (TV, computer) and near a window if walls are concrete.
How to set the alarm?
Press the MODE button once to display the alarm time (default 06:00). Press and hold MODE for 2 seconds until the hours blink. Use + and - to set the hour, then MODE to confirm. Then set the minutes, then the snooze delay from 1 to 60 min or off. Press MODE to finish. To enable/disable the alarm, press +: the bell icon appears (active) or disappears (inactive).
How to change the weekday language?
During manual time setting, after setting the date, the day language display blinks. Use the + and - buttons to cycle through available languages: German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Danish. Press MODE to confirm.
How to switch between °C and °F display?
Press the - button once to toggle between °C and °F units.
How to use the snooze function?
When the alarm sounds, press the SNZ button to activate the snooze. The alarm will sound again after the set delay (default or set in settings). If the delay is set to OFF, the snooze function is disabled.

Check the location: place the clock near a window, away from electrical devices and metal structures. Maintain a distance of at least 2.5 m from interference sources. Initial operation

- Open battery compartment cover

  • Insert 2 x AA batteries observing polarity [ “+” and “−” marks]
  • When you insert the batteries, all the icon on the LCD display will light up for 3 seconds, and you will hear a beep tone and the station detects indoor temperature & humidity.
  • Then the station will enter the radio controlled time signal reception mode.

Reception of the DCF signal

  • The clock automatically starts the DCF (radio controlled time) signal search of any restart or changing of new fresh batteries. The radio mast icon starts to flash.
  • At 1:00 /2:00 / 3:00 am, the clock automatically carries out the synchronization procedure with the DCF signal to correct any deviations to the exact time. If this synchronization attempt is unsuccessful (the radio mast icon disappears from the display), the system will automatically attempt another synchronization at the next full one hour. This procedure is repeated automatically up to total 5 times.
  • To start manual DCF signal reception, press and hold down the "WAVE" button for two seconds. If no signals received within 7 minutes, then the DCF signal search stops (the radio mast icon disappears) and start again at the next full one hour.
  • During DCF reception, to stop searching radio signal, press the "WAVE" button once.

Please note:

  • A flashing radio mast icon indicates that the DCF signal reception has started
    • A continuously displayed radio mast icon indicates that the DCF signal was received successfully
  • We recommend a minimum distance of 2.5 meters to all sources of interference, such as televisions or computer monitors
  • Radio reception is weaker in rooms with concrete walls (e.g.: in cellars) and in offices. In such extreme circumstances, place the system close to the window.
  • During the RC receive mode, only the SNZ" and "WAVE" button function, other buttons have no function. If you want to use other functions, please press the "WAVE" button to exit the DCF reception mode.

Manual time setting

  • Press and hold down the "MODE" button for 2 seconds, 12/24HR start to flash. Now use "+" and "-" buttons to set the set 12 or 24 hour mode.
  • Press "MODE" button to confirm your setting, the time zone starts to flash. Now use "+" and "-" buttons set a time zone (-12 to +12). For example for UK, the time zone is -01, for Germany it is 00.
  • Press "MODE" to confirm your setting, the Hour display starts to flash. Now use "+" and "-" buttons to set the hour.
  • Press "MODE" to confirm your setting, the Minute display starts to flash. Now use "+" and "-" buttons to set the minute.
  • Press "MODE" button to confirm your setting. The month and date icon display starts to flash. Now use "+" and "-" buttons to set the date display to Month/Date or Date/Month format.
  • Press "MODE" button to confirm your setting. The year display 2015 starts to flash. Now use "+" and "-" buttons to set the year.
  • Press "MODE" button to confirm your setting. The month display starts to flash. Now use "+" and "-" buttons to set the month.
  • Press "MODE" button to confirm your setting. The Date display starts to flash. Now use "+" and "-" buttons to set date.
  • Press "MODE" button to confirm your setting, the language selection for the Weekday displays starts to flash. Now use "+" and "-" buttons to select a language.

- Press "MODE" to confirm your setting and to end the setting procedures and enter the clock mode.

Please note:

- After 20 seconds without pressing any button, the clock switches automatically from Set Mode to Normal Time Mode.

Setting the alarm

  • Press “+” button once, LCD displays the “ ” icon, the alarm function is ON. Then press once “+” button, the “ ” icon will disappear from the display, the alarm function is OFF.
  • Press "MODE" button once, LCD displays alarm (default 6:00 AL) time. Then press and hold "MODE" button for 2 seconds until hour of the alarm time starts to flash. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the hour. Press "MODE" button to confirm your setting.
  • The Minute of the Alarm time starts to flash. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the minute. Press "MODE" button to confirm your setting.
  • The snooze time of the alarm starts to flash. Use the “+” and “-” buttons to set the snooze time. Snooze time can be set from OFF to 60 minutes.
  • Press "MODE" button to confirm your setting and to end the setting procedure.

Please note:

  • After 20 seconds without pressing any button the clock switches automatically from setting mode to Normal clock mode.
  • The alarm will sound for 2 minutes if you do not deactivate it by pressing any button. In this case the alarm will be repeated automatically after 24 hours.
  • Rising alarm sound (crescendo, duration: 2 minutes) changes the volume 4 times whilst the alarm signal is heard.

Switching off the alarm signal

- Press any button except the "SNZ" button to stop the alarm signal. It is not necessary to reactivate the alarm. It switches itself automatically to the alarm time which has already been set.

Snooze function

- Press the "SNZ" button the alarm signal sounds to get to Snooze mode. The alarm signal sounds again after

the time that was set for Snooze. If OFF was selected in the Snooze time setting, the alarm will not repeat.

Switching °C or °F

- Press once “-” button to switch the temperature unit to °C or °F.

Environmental reception effects

The station obtains the accurate time with wireless technology. Same as all wireless devices, the reception is maybe affected by the following circumstances:

  • long transmitting distance
    • nearby mountains and valleys
  • near freeway, railway, airports, high voltage cable etc.
  • near construction site
    • among tall buildings
    • inside concrete buildings
    • inside moving vehicles

- near electrical appliances (computers, TV's, etc) and metallic structures

Place the station at a location with optimal signal, i.e. close to a window and away from metal surfaces or electrical appliances.

  • This main unit is intended to be used only indoors.
  • Do not subject the unit to excessive force or shock.
  • Do not expose the unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, dust or humidity.
  • Do not immerse in water.

Batteries safety warnings

  • Use only alkaline batteries, not rechargeable batteries.
