Getting started:
- Remove battery compartment cover off the base station and insert 2 x AA size battery. Close the cover on the battery compartment again.
- Battery compartment (D4) of the temperature sensor is located behind the back cover. Insert 2 x AAA batteries while observing correct polarity [ “+” and “−” marks] and close the cover on the battery compartment.
- Place the base station securely on a flat surface.
- The remote sensor should be securely mounted onto a horizontal surface.
Note: Transmissions between receiver (station) and transmitter (sensor) can reach up to 60m in an open area. In open areas there are no interfering obstacles such as buildings, trees, vehicles, high voltage lines, etc.
Weather forecast function
Operation
- After inserting batteries, or holding “WEATHER” button (B7) for 3 seconds, the weather icon flashes on the LCD. Enter the current weather by pressing “▼” or “▲” button. Press the “WEATHER” button to confirm the setting. The weather forecast may not be accurate if the current weather entered is not correct. The weather station will start the
first forecast at 6 hours later after the current weather status is entered.
- The current weather status should be entered again if the altitude of the main unit is changed. (Barometric pressure is lower at higher altitude location. Therefore, altitude change will affect the weather forecast).
- There are two weather icons, the upper one indicates current weather condition, the next day forecasts of the weather in terms of getting better or worse. The weather station will start the first forecast at around 6 hours later after the current weather status is entered.

There are totally 5 different weather status animations in the weather forecast.

Freezing or snowNote: “Freezing or snow” is shown if the weather forecast is rainy and outdoor temperature (any channel) under 0^ C.

- Frost alert: “ICE” is shown if the outdoor temperature is between -2^ C +3^ C
- If there is any inconsistency of weather forecast between local weather station and this unit, the local weather station's forecast should prevail. The manufacture will not hold responsible for any trouble that may come up due to wrong forecasting from this unit.
Thermometer
Receiving the sensor signal:
- The main unit automatically starts receiving transmission from outdoor sensor for outdoor temperature & humidity after weather condition setting.
- The outdoor sensor will automatically transmit temperature and humidity signal to the main unit after batteries inserted.
- If main unit failed to receive transmission from outdoor thermo sensor in first 3 minutes after the batteries inserted (“- - . -” display on the LCD), hold the “RF SEARCH” button (B6) for 3 seconds to receive transmission manually. RF icon “ ✉” flashes on the LCD.
Note: For best measuring, place the outdoor sensor outside and protected from rainfall, strong winds and direct sunlight.
Temperature & humidity
Past 24 hours highest / lowest outdoor temperature and humidity
- After start up, the unit automatically shows the past 24 hours of the highest & lowest outdoor temperature and humidity record. "HI" (high) &
“LO” (low) show on the LCD accordingly
Recorded maximum / minimum outdoor temperature and humidity from start-up / reset.
- Press the “MEMORY” button to view the lowest and highest temperature and humidity record from start-up or reset. “”MEM display on the LCD.
- When viewing the memory record, hold the “MEMORY” button for 3 seconds to clear the maximum and minimum record.
- When viewing the memory record, press the “MEMORY” button again to check the corresponded time and date for the memory of highest and lowest temperature & humidity record. The memory record value and corresponded time and date flash. Press the “MEMORY” button select to view:
Time & date for lowest temperature memory recording -> time and date for highest temperature memory recording -> time & date for lowest humidity memory recording -> time and date for highest humidity memory recording.
- Press the “°C /°F” button (B1) to select temperature in Celsius or

Fahrenheit.
- If the temperature is out of the measurable range, LL.L (beyond the minimum temperature) or HH.H (beyond the maximum temperature) will be shown on the LCD.
Humidity
- The humidity measurable range is 20% \~ 99%. If the current humidity
measurement is lower than 20%, the LCD would display 20%
Outdoor temperature alert function
- Press the “OUT-TEMP ALERT” button (B8) to select to activate or deactivate outdoor temperature alert function.
- Press the "ALERT" button select to:
○ Activate outdoor upper temperature alert, the icon “” besides outdoor temperature digit would display.
○ Activate outdoor upper& lower temperature alert, the icon “ ” besides outdoor temperature digit would display.
○ Activate outdoor lower temperature alert, the icon “” besides outdoor temperature digit would display.
- Deactivate outdoor temperature alert, alert icon disappear.
- Hold "OUT-TEMP ALERT" button (B8) for 3 seconds to enter outdoor
temperature alert setting. Icon “” or “” beside temperature’s digits flash. Press the “▼” or the “▲” button (B1 or B3) to adjust the setting value, press the “OUT-TEMP ALERT” button to confirm the setting. The setting sequence as follow: the upper limit of temperature -> the lower limit of temperature.
- When it's alert, the corresponding icon “▲” or “▼” and temperature digit would flash on the LCD. Press any buttons to stop the alert sound, otherwise, it will sound for 2 minutes, and stop automatically.
Time and alarm setting
Radio controlled clock:
- After batteries inserted and main unit finishes receiving the transmission from outdoor sensor, the clock automatically starts to scan the DCF time signal. Radio Control Icon“” flashes on the LCD.

- The clock automatically scans the time signal at 3.00 a.m. every day to
maintain accurate timing. If reception fail, scanning stops (“ ” on LCD disappear)
- The clock can be set to scan the time signal manually by holding “▼” and “▲” button for 3 seconds. Each reception takes about 5 minutes. If receptions fail, scanning stops.
- Stop scanning by holding “▼” and “▲” button for 3 seconds.
- “DST” shown on the LCD if it is in daylight saving time mode.
Manual time setting:
- Hold the "MODE" button (B2) for 3 seconds to enter time setting mode.
- Press the “▲” or the “▼” button to adjust the setting and press the “MODE” button to confirm each setting. Keep the “▲” or the “▼” button pressed, to accelerate the process and reach the desired value more quickly.
- The setting sequence is shown as follow: 12/24 hour time display -> time zone -> hour -> minute -> second -> year -> month -> Day -> weekday language.
- Time zone setting can be used to set difference from DCF77 time, for example 0 for Germany or -1 for UK.

- 8 languages can be selected in weekday, they are: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Russian, and English.
- The languages and their selected abbreviations for each day of the week are shown in the following table.

Notes:
- The second can only be adjusted to zero.
- The time setting will automatically exit in 15 seconds without any adjustment from buttons.
- The time zone is used for the countries where can receive the DCF
time signal but the time zone is different from the German time. When the country time is faster than the German time for 1 hour, the zone should be set to 1. Then the clock will set 1 hour faster from the signal time received automatically.
Daily alarm function:
- Press “MODE/SET” button to select to view:
Time -> time & weekday -> alarm time ("AL" shown on the LCD) - When viewing the alarm time, hold “MODE” button for 3 seconds to enter alarm time setting. Press “▲” or “▼” button to adjust the alarm time. Press “MODE” button to confirm the setting.
- Press “ 🔥 ” button (B3) to switch alarm on or off. If it is on, “ 🔥 ” shown on the LCD.
- When alarm sounds, alarm icon “” flash. Press “SNOOZE” button to activate the snooze alarm, (“flash on the LCD). The alarm will snooze for around 5 minutes, then it alarms again. This snooze function can be enabled for maximum 7 times.
- Except “SNOOZE” button, press any buttons to stop the snooze alarm. Otherwise, the alarm signal sounds for about 2 minutes, and then stops automatically.
Backlight
Press “LIGHT” button, backlight activates for around 5 seconds.
Low battery indication:
The low battery icon “will appear and indicating that thermo sensor is in low battery status. The batteries should be replaced.
Restart
Use a pin to press the reset button if the unit does not work properly.

Environmental reception effects
The station obtains the accurate time with wireless technology. Same as all wireless devices, the reception is maybe affected by the following
circumstances:
- long transmitting distance
• nearby mountains and valleys - near freeway, railway, airports, high voltage cable etc.
- near construction site
- among tall buildings
• inside concrete buildings
• inside moving vehicles
- near electrical appliances (computers, TV's, etc) and metallic structures
Place the station at a location with optimal signal, i.e. close to a window and away from metal surfaces or electrical appliances.
Precautions
- The base station is intended to be used only indoor, the outdoor sensor is intended for outdoor use only.
- Do not subject the unit to excessive force or shock.
- Do not expose the unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, dust or humidity.
- Do not immerse in water.
- Avoid contact with any corrosive materials.
- Do not dispose this unit in a fire as it may explode.
- Do not open the inner back case or tamper with any components of this unit.
Batteries safety warnings
- Use only alkaline batteries, not rechargeable batteries.
- Install batteries correctly by matching the polarities (+/-).
• Always replace a complete set of batteries.
- Never mix used and new batteries.
- Remove exhausted batteries immediately.
- Remove batteries when not in use.
- Do not recharge and do not dispose of batteries in fire as the batteries may explode.
- Ensure batteries are stored away from metal objects as contact may cause a short circuit.
- Avoid exposing batteries to extreme temperature or humidity or direct sunlight.
- Keep all batteries out of reach from children. They are a choking hazard.
