USER MANUAL BCC60 SWITEL

  • 1 Baby unit (transmitter) • 1 Parent unit (receiver)
  • Transmission frequency 864 MHz
  • Receiving Sensitivity -88 dBm (Parent unit)
  • Place the baby unit (transmitter) at least 1 m away from your baby.
  • The parent unit (receiver) should be at least 2 m away from the baby unit to avoid feedback. Intended use The surveillance system has been developed to monitor rooms. The transmitter sends acoustic signals from its point of installation to the receiver. Any other use is considered unintended use. The use of this equipment does not substitute personal supervision, e.g. of a child. Users are not relieved of their personal liability. Unauthorised modification or reconstruction is not permitted. Under no circumstances open the device or complete any repair work yourself. 6Maintenance
  • Clean the housing surfaces with a soft, fluff-free cloth.
  • Never use cleaning agents or solvents. Baby unit 1 Antenna 2 Power LED 3 Microphone 4 On-/Off-switch 5 DC jack 6 Battery compartment cover 7 Securing screw for battery compartment 8 Pairing button

8Parent unit 1 Antenna 2 Volume LED indicators 3 Power LED 4 Loudspeaker 5 Volume control 6 On-/Off-switch 7 DC jack 8 Securing screw for battery compartment 9 Battery compartment cover 10 Pairing button Using the units

  • Insert batteries into both devices (observe polarity!). Use 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries (in the parent unit 3 pieces, in the baby unit 4 pieces, not included).

Connect the supplied power adapter to one device and plug it into a suitable power outlet.

  • Slide the on / off switches on both devices to the "ON" position.

10• Wait for about 2 s. When the connection is established, the volume LEDs on the parent unit flash briefly.

  • Place the baby unit in the baby room about 2 meters away from the baby.
  • Use the volume control on the parent unit to set the desired volume. The volume LEDs indicate the set volume.
  • If the baby unit does not detect any sounds in the surroundings, the transmitter is switched off; the parent unit is then in standby mode (VOX). When the baby unit perceives noises again, the transmitter is switched on again and the transmission to the parent unit starts. Note: If you notice any noise or interference during the transmission, you can change the channel. During operation, briefly press the pairing button in the battery compartment of the baby unit with a pointed object (eg straightened paper clip). The devices try to find a trouble-free channel and continue operation. Pairing When delivered, the devices are already radio-linked (pairing). If this connection is lost at some point, which is very rare, you can do this pairing yourself as follows:
  • Turn off both devices.
  • Simultaneously press and hold the pairing button in the battery compartment of the parent and baby unit with a pointed object (such as a straightened paper clip).
  • Turn on both devices.
  • Release the pairing buttons after 1 second.
  • If the volume LEDs on the parent unit flash briefly, the pairing was successful and the connection is established again. 9Safety Information
  • Please read this operating instruction manual thoroughly.
  • Never lay the transmitter in a baby’s/child’s bed or playpen.
  • Ensure that the transmitter and power cable are out of reach of babies/children, i.e. they are at least one meter away.
  • Pay attention that the components are sufficiently well-ventilated when in operation. Do not lay a cushion, towel or such over the devices.
  • The devices are not intended for medical purposes. Warning and signal tones from respiratory or heartbeat monitoring equipment are not transmitted.
  • The installation location plays a decisive role in ensuring proper operation. Therefore, maintain a distance of at least one meter from other electronic equipment, such as microwave ovens or hi-fi devices, otherwise they could cause mutual interference/faults.
  • Prevent excessive exposure to smoke, dust, vibration, chemicals, moisture, heat and direct sunlight. Do not use the equipment in potentially explosive areas.
  • Only use the power adapter plugs contained in the material supplied since other power adapter plugs could damage the surveillance system. Ensure access to the power adapter plug is not obstructed by furniture or such.
  • When using the equipment with a power adapter plug, pay attention that the plug and cable are in perfect condition. Kinked or worn cable represents the risk of a fatal accident!
  • Never throw batteries into a fire. Only use batteries of the same type! Pay attention to correct polarity.
  • Never use the devices in the vicinity of medical equipment. Effects on such equipment cannot be fully ruled out.
