Congratulations on the purchase of your new device. You have chosen a high-quality product. The instructions for use are a part of this product. They contain important information about safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all the instructions for use and safety notes. The product must only be used as described and for the specified applications. When passing this product on to others, please be sure to include all documentation. Before
using this product for the first time, verify that the correct voltage is available and that all parts are properly assembled.
Intendeduse
This product is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The speaker can also be controlled from a smartphone (Bluetooth® 5.0). This product is only intended for private household use, not for commercial use.

This product is not suitable as residential room lighting.
- Scope of delivery
Always check that all the parts are present and that the product is in perfect condition immediately after unpacking.

WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE AND RISK OF ACCIDENT FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN!
Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging material poses a suffocation hazard. Children frequently underestimate the dangers.
This product may be used by children aged 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or lacking experience and knowledge, so long as they are supervised or instructed in the safe
use of the product and understand the associated risks. Do not allow children to play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.
- Do not leave the product or packaging material lying unattended. Plastic film or bags, plastic parts, etc. can become dangerous toys for children.

Avoid the risk of fatal injury from electric shock
■ Always check the micro-USB cable 11 and the product for any damage before charging. Never use the product if it is damaged in any way.
- Contact your service centre or an electrician for product damage, repairs or any other problems with the product.
■ Never open any of the electrical equipment (e.g. switches, fitting socket etc.) or insert any objects into this equipment. Such interferences pose a risk of fatal injury from electric shock.
To prevent hazards, if the external flexible lead of these fairy lights may only be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorised service centre or an equally qualified professional.
■ Disconnect the product from the micro-USB cable 11 before installing, removing and cleaning. Only use the micro-USB cable 11 in dry, enclosed locations.
■ The illuminant is not replaceable.
If the illuminant fails at the end of its life, the entire product must be replaced.

- Do not secure with sharp staples or nails.
■ Never electrically connect the product to other string lights.

Prevent fire and injury hazards
CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS DUE TO HOT SURFACES! To prevent burns, ensure the fairy lights are off and have cooled down before touching. Illuminants become very hot.
- Check each illuminant for damage immediately after unpacking.
- Do not cover the product with any objects. Excessive heat build-up can result in fire.
■ Never leave the product unattended whilst in operation. Excessive heat build-up can result in fire.
Do not look directly into the light source (illuminant, LED etc.). Do not look into the light source (illuminant, LED etc.) with an optical instrument (e.g. magnifying glass).
■ CAUTION! RISK OF OVERHEATING! Do not operate the product inside the packaging. - Do not pull on the fairy lights or the micro-USB cable 11 of the product and ensure they will not be walked on or tripped over.
- Do not attach additional objects to the product.

Safety instructions for batteries/rechargeable batteries
KEEP BATTERIES OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN! Swallowing batteries can cause chemical burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns may occur within 2 hours of swallowing batteries. Seek immediate medical attention.
■ DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
DANGER OF EXPLOSION!

Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries /
rechargeable batteries and / or open them.

Only use the same type of batteries / recharge-□able batteries. Do not mix used and new batteries/rechargeable batteries.
■ Remove batteries / rechargeable batteries if the product will not be used for a longer period.
Risk of damage of the product

Insert batteries / rechargeable batteries according to polarity marks (+) and (-) on the battery / rechargeable battery and the product.
- Clean the contacts on the battery / rechargeable battery and in the battery compartment before inserting!
■ Remove exhausted batteries/rechargeable batteries from the product immediately.

This product has a built-in rechargeable battery which cannot be replaced by the user. The rechargeable battery must be removed or replaced by the

Note: Remove all packaging material from the product.
- Charging the product
- Charge with the included micro-USB cable 11. The product must be in a dry, protected location whilst charging.
Open the cover for the USB port 1 on the speaker 12.
☐ Connect the micro-USB connector of the micro-USB cable 11 to the speaker 12
- Connect the USB plug to a suitable USB port, e.g. plug-in adapter, computer, etc. The LED charge indicator 9 will light up red whilst charging.
- Fully charge the product. When charging is complete, the LED charge indicator 9 will light up green.
e □ Disconnect the micro-USB cable 11 from the USB port and the speaker 12
□ Carefully close the cover of the USB port 1.
- Installing the product
☐ Insert the connector plug 3 of the speaker 12 into the socket 4 on the fairy lights 5
☐ Turn the fastening screw thread 2 clockwise to secure the connection.
☐ Screw the retaining hook 10 clockwise into the designated opening on the speaker 12.
Note: You can hang the product with the silicone rings 16.
- Switching the product on / off
☐ Switch the product on or off using the ON / OFF button 7 on the speaker 12.
Note: The LED power indicator will flash blue when the product is switched on. When the product is connected to another device via Bluetooth ^® , the LED power indicator 8 will be a steady blue. When the product is switched off, the LED power indicator 8 goes off.

Note: Position the infrared diode of the receiver so it can be controlled with the remote control 13 without obstructions.
Note: The range of the remote control 13 is approx. 4 to 6 m.

Timer function for light and music auto shut-off (30 to 180 min.) Repeatedly press this buttons to control the following functions of the speaker 12:
Press 1 x:
Speaker lights up red, shuts off after 30 minutes.
Press 2 x:
Speaker lights up green, shuts off after 60 minutes.
Press 3 x:
Speaker lights up blue, shuts off after 90 minutes.
Press 4 x:
Speaker lights up yellow, shuts off after 120 minutes.
Press 5 x:
Speaker lights up cyan, shuts off after 150 minutes.
Press 6 x:
Speaker lights up purple, shuts off after 180 minutes.
Pressing this button again disables the timer function and the speaker returns to normal mode.

☐ Push in the release lever and pull out the battery compartment 15.
☐ If necessary, remove the old battery 14.
☐ Insert the new battery in the battery compartment [15] . Only use batteries specified under „Technical data”.
Note: Be sure to insert the battery correctly (polarity). This is indicated on the remote control 13
☐ Slide the battery compartment 15 back into the remote control 13.
● Maintenance and cleaning
Note: This product is maintenance-free. The LEDs cannot be replaced.
□ Switch off the product.
WARNING! DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! For reasons of electrical safety, the product must never be cleaned with water or other liquids, or immersed in water.
CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS DUE TO HOT SURFACES! First allow the product to cool down completely.
■ Disconnect the micro-USB cable 11 from the power supply and the product.
- Do not use solvents, petrol, etc. These would damage the product.
☐ Only clean with a dry, fluff-free cloth.
●Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and fibre-board / 80–98: composite materials.

The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it separately for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening
hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Faulty or used batteries / rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return the batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries / rechargeable batteries!
Batteries / rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries / rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.
Speaker only:
The built-in rechargeable battery cannot be removed for disposal. Return the entire product to a waste electronics collection point.

This product fulfils the requirements of the applicable European and national directives (RED directive 2014/53/EU,
Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU). Conformity has been verified. The relevant declaration and documents are held by the manufacturer and can be viewed at edi-light.com.

Warranty
We provide a 3 year warranty from the date of purchase. Our products are manufactured using modern production methods and are subject to precise quality control. We guarantee this product is of
good quality. During the warranty period any defects in material or manufacture will be replaced free of charge In the event of an unexpected defect, please return the carefully packaged product to the service address specified.
The warranty does not extend to damage due to improper handling as well as wear items and consumables. These can be ordered from the telephone number listed for a charge.
Repairs not covered by the warranty (e.g. light bulb) may also be requested at cost from the service address listed.
The product will be repaired at the specified service location. Timely processing and return can only be ensured by sending the product directly to this address.
