Can I use this light garland indoors?

This garland is designed for outdoor use (IP44) and is not suitable for general room lighting. It can be used indoors provided the same precautions are taken, but it is not intended for permanent indoor use.

How do I activate the timer function?

Press the button (2a) located on the transformer. The timer turns the garland on for 6 hours then off for 18 hours, and this cycle repeats daily as long as the device is plugged in.

Can I replace the LED bulbs?

No, the LEDs are not replaceable. When their lifespan is reached, the entire garland must be replaced. The transformer, however, can be replaced by the end user.

How do I clean the light garland?

Use a damp cloth to gently clean the garland. Never immerse it in water and avoid wetting the plug. Do not use harsh cleaning products.

What should I do if the garland does not light up?

Check that the plug is properly inserted and that the transformer is powered. Ensure the sealing gaskets are in place. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.

Is the garland resistant to rain?

Yes, the IP44 rating guarantees protection against water splashes, allowing outdoor use in rain. However, do not immerse it and ensure the sealing gaskets are properly fitted.

Can I shorten or extend the garland?

No, the garland is designed with a fixed length and must not be modified. Do not cut the cable or attempt to add extensions, as this could damage the device and void the warranty.

What is the length of the power cable?

The power cable is approximately 500 cm long, with a total garland length of about 710 cm (cable + light section).

How should I store the garland when not in use?

Store it in a dry, clean place at room temperature. Avoid sharply bending the cable and protect it from dust. Always unplug before storing.

Is the warranty transferable in case of resale?

The 3-year warranty is granted to the private end customer. If you resell the item, you must transfer the instructions and the receipt; the warranty remains valid for the new owner according to the warranty conditions.

Life-threatening hazard!

• Warning. Not suitable for children! Choking hazard – contains small parts.

• The fairy lights must not be plugged into mains power while still in their packaging.

Children may not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by children without supervision.

• The product may only be used with the supplied operating device (LED driver).
• Never submerge the product or its power cable or plug in water or other liquids.
• Never touch the plug with wet hands.
• Never pull the plug out of the socket by the power cable; always grip the plug itself.

Risk of injury!

• Warning. None of the packaging or fastening materials are part of the product itself, and must always be removed for safety reasons before the product is used.
• Check the product for damage and wear before each use. The product may only be used in good order and condition!
• Keep the product, the plug and the power cable away from open fire and hot surfaces.
• Lay the power cable in such a way that it isn't a tripping hazard.
• No modifications may be made to the product.

Preventing damage to the item!

• Do not bend the power cable or lay it over sharp edges.
• Never carry the product by the power cable.
• The product may only be used with the supplied operating device (LED driver).

Use

1. Remove all packaging materials from the product.
2. Connect the plug (2) to the power cable (1), as shown in Fig. A.

Note: pay attention to the plus/minus poles of the plug.

1. Insert the plug into the socket.

2. Press the button (2a) to activate the timer function.

Note: when using the timer function, the light will be on for 6 hours and off for 18 hours. This rhythm repeats itself daily.

1. Press the button again to turn off the product.
2. Press the button once more to turn the product on again.

Storage, cleaning

When not in use, always store the product clean and dry at room temperature. Only clean the product with a damp cloth and wipe dry afterwards. The power plug must not get wet during cleaning.

IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with harsh cleaning agents.

Disposal

The accompanying symbol indicates that this device complies with Directive 2012/19/EU. This directive indicates that you may not dispose of this device along with basic household waste at the end of its useful life and instead must hand it in to specifically designated collection sites, valuable substance collection stations, or waste disposal facilities.

Look after the environment and dispose of waste properly.

Batteries may not be disposed of with household waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment. The chemical symbols of the heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. Dispose of used batteries at a municipal collection site.

For further information about disposal of the product no longer needed, contact your local council. Dispose of the product and the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. Store the packaging materials (foil bags, for example) out of the reach of children.

Note the label on the packaging materials when separating waste, as these are labelled with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meaning:

1-7: plastics / 20-22: paper and cardboard / 80-98: composite materials. The product and the packaging materials can be recycled, dispose of them separately for better treatment of waste. The Triman logo only applies to France.

Notes on the guarantee and service handling

The product was produced with great care and under continuous quality control. DELTA-SPORT HANDELSKONTOR GmbH gives private end customers a three-year guarantee on this product from the date of purchase (guarantee period) in accordance with the following provisions. The guarantee is only valid for material and manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear that are thus considered wear parts (e.g. batteries) or fragile parts such as switches, rechargeable batteries, or parts made of glass.

Claims under this guarantee are excluded if the product has been used incorrectly, improperly, or contrary to the intended purpose, or if the provisions in the instructions for use were not observed, unless the end customer proves that a material or manufacturing defect exists that was not caused by one of the aforementioned circumstances. Claims under the guarantee can only be made within the guarantee period by presenting the original sales receipt. Please therefore keep the original sales receipt. The guarantee period is not extended by any repairs carried out under the guarantee, under statutory guarantees, or as a gesture of goodwill. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
