Read and store the manual This manual contains information about the safe use of the Tetronic LED ProLine 380/580/780/980. Please read the manual prior to using the device. The manual goes with the device and must be stored for future reference. • Only connect the Tetronic LED ProLine 380/580/780/980 to a professionally installed plug socket.

• Only connect the power supply to the mains if the local supply voltage corresponds to the specifications in the technical data.

• Protect the power supply and plug-in connectors against moisture.

• Ensure that no moisture is able to penetrate the plug socket. Install the connection cable in such a manner that it hangs down slightly before reaching the socket.

• Never open the housing of the LED light or the power supply.

• Do not modify the LED light, the power supply or the connection cables.

Protection class III: Operation with low voltage, which is generated via a safety transformer. min. 15 mm A minimum distance of 15 mm must be maintained between the water and the LED light. It can be attached to many dierent aquariums and terrariums thanks to the adjustable extension arms. Intended use Only use the Tetronic LED ProLine 380/580/780/980

• as an LED light for an aquarium or terrarium,

• in line with the technical data.

CONSTRUCTION AND ATTACHMENT

The adapters provided enable the light to be attached in three dierent ways:

• Option 1: place the LED light on the edge of the aquarium.

• Option 2: place the LED light in the light bracket supports for fluorescent tubes.

• Option 3: attach the LED light using screws.

Placing the LED light on the edge of the aquarium The multi adapters are required for this attachment option. The light can be placed on aquariums with an edge thickness of 4–10mm. Procedure: Fig. B

– Turn the assembly so that the open sides of the multi adapters face the edge of the aquarium.

3. Push the extension arms into the openings at both ends of

the LED light. – The teeth on the extension arms must point towards the lamp.

4. Adjust the extension arms to the required length and

carefully press the LED light onto the edge of the aquarium until it sits securely. – The arms must not be extended by more than 12.5cm on either side of the LED light. Placing the LED light in the light bracket for fluorescent tubes The T5 or T8 adapters are required for this attachment option. Condition:

• The bracket is compatible with T5 or T8 fluorescent tubes. The union nuts with seals for attaching the fluorescent tubes are needed to attach the LED light and seal the bracket. Procedure: Fig. C

1. Place the T5 or T8 adapters over the bayonet connectors on

– The adapters must be positioned above the light unit.

3. Push the extension arms into the openings at both ends of

the LED light. – The teeth on the extension arms must all point towards the lamp.

4. Place the union nuts onto the T5 or T8 adapters.

5. Pull out the extension arms until the T5 or T8 adapters on

both sides are flush with the bracket. – The arms must not be extended by more than 12.5cm each.

6. Hold the LED light between the bracket, twist the union nuts

onto the bracket and hand-tighten by turning clockwise.13

Attaching the LED light using screws The multi adapters are required for this attachment option. Procedure: Fig. D

4. Adjust the extension arms to the required length and secure

the multi adapters with three screws each. – The arms must not be extended by more than 12.5cm each. Tetronic LED ProLine Arms The Tetronic LED ProLine Arms bracket is optionally available for aquariums or terrariums without a lid. Procedure: Fig. F–H INITIAL USE The switch on the connection cable enables you to switch the LED light between day and night mode as well as to switch it o entirely. Procedure: Fig. E

1. Connect the two sections of the connection cable.

2. Plug the power supply into the socket.

– The lowest point of the connection cable must be below the socket to prevent any water that drips down from entering the socket.

3. Press the switch.

LIGHT CARE The Tetronic LED ProLine 380/580/780/980 is maintenance free but requires occasional cleaning.

• Always disconnect the power supply from the mains before cleaning the light. NOTE Do not use chemical cleaning agents as these can be harmful to your animals, plants and the environment.

• Simply wipe all components with a damp cloth. REPAIR The lamp is not replaceable. When it reaches its end of life, the LED light must be replaced. DISPOSAL The Tetronic LED ProLine 380/580/780/980 contains electronic components and cannot be disposed of with standard household waste.

• Dispose of the device using the return system for your area so that the raw materials can be recycled.
