This consumer electronics device is used to play back audio files, which can be played from the device's internal memory or from a microSD card. It is not intended for any other purpose nor for use beyond the scope described.
The device is not intended for use in commercial or industrial environments. Claims of any kind for damages resulting from misuse, improper repairs, unauthorised modifications or the use of unauthorised spare parts are excluded. The risk is borne solely by the user.

Safety information
To ensure that the device operates safely, follow the safety guidelines set out below:
- Check the device for visible external damage before use. Do not operate a device that has been damaged or dropped.
■ Never use the device if the cable, plug or housing are damaged.
If the charging cable or connectors are damaged, have them replaced by an authorised specialist or the Customer Service department.
All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist companies or by the Customer Service department. Do not open the device yourself under any circumstances. Improper repairs may put the user at risk.
■ Defective components must always be replaced with genuine replacement parts. Compliance with the safety requirements can only be guaranteed by using these replacement parts.
■ Switch off the device immediately and disconnect the charging cable from the device if you notice any unusual noises, burning smells or smoke. Have the device checked by a qualified specialist before using it again.

■ Use only the supplied charger cable to charge the device.
This device may be used by children aged 8 years and above and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been told how to use the device safely and are aware of the potential risks. Do not allow children to play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

Due to the high power consumption, the device must be charged using a USB mains adapter. Do not charge the device from the USB port of a PC or notebook.
SILVERCREST®
If you are using a USB power supply, the mains socket must always be easily accessible so that the USB power supply can be quickly disconnected from the socket in a hazardous situation. You should also observe the operating instructions for the USB power supply.

Use the device only indoors.

DANGER
Mishandling memory cards can lead to a risk of injury
Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the memory card. Seek medical help immediately if the memory card is accidentally swallowed.

Use
Package contents and transport inspection
◆ Remove all parts of the device and the operating instructions from the packaging.
◆ Remove all packaging material.
The package contents include the following components (see fold-out page for illustrations):
- Acoustic sleep aid
- USB charging cable (USB type-A to micro-USB)
- Operating instructions
NOTE
▶ Check the package for completeness and signs of visible damage.
▶ If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a result of defective packaging or during transport, contact the Service hotline (see section Service).
Charging the internal battery
NOTE
▶ Before using the device, the integrated battery must be completely charged.
The supplied USB charging cable 20 and the DC 5V micro-USB charging socket 23 are used only to charge the internal battery. They are not suitable for data transmission.
The device can also be charged during operation. However, this increases the charging time.
The charging LED lights up red during charging. When the battery is fully charged, the charging LED switches off.
▶ Charging takes about 4 hours at a charging current of 900 mA. When the battery is fully charged, you can play back music at a medium volume (50%) for up to 10 hours. The playback time can vary depending on the volume level.
▶ The device switches off automatically as soon as the battery is discharged.
CAUTION
▶ Use the device only in dry interior rooms.
▶ Due to the high power consumption, the device must be charged using a USB mains adapter. Do not charge the device from the USB port of a PC or notebook.
▶ Use only the supplied USB charging cable 20 to charge the integrated battery.
▶ Disconnect the USB charging cable 20 when charging is complete.
1) Ensure that the device is switched off. Hold down the On/Off button ⏻ ① for approx. 2 seconds to switch off the device.
2) Connect the USB plug on the USB charging cable 20 to a plugged in USB mains adapter.
3) Remove the protective cover 21 on the device to get to the DC 5V micro-USB charging socket 23. To do this, pull the protective cover 21 off the device and flip it downwards.
4) Connect the micro-USB plug on the USB charging cable 20 to the DC 5V micro-USB charging socket 23 on the device. The charging process starts and the charging LED 19 lights up red.
Handling and operation
Switching the device on/off
1) Hold down the On/Off button ⬆ for approx. 2 seconds to switch on the device.
2) Hold down the On/Off button ⏻ ① for approx. 2 seconds to switch off the device.
NOTE
▶ When the device is switched on for the first time, the "white noise" sleep sound is played at a medium volume.
▶ When you switch the device back on again, the last selected setting (sleep sound and volume) is played back.
Selecting a sleep sound
1) Press the ⚙ button Ⓐ to select a sleep sound. The LED of the selected sleep sound (see table below) lights up green.
2) Press the ⚙ button ⑧ again to switch to the next sleep sound.

NOTE
The volume can be increased/decreased in steps (0%, 10%, 30%, 50%, 70%, 90%, 100%).
◆ Press the button ④ briefly to increase the volume one step at a time.
◆ Press the button ⑥ briefly to decrease the volume one step at a time.

Switching the sleep light on/off
1) Press the sleep light button ⚙7 to switch on the sleep light. The sleep light is on low.
2) Press the sleep light button ⑦ again. The sleep light is on medium.
3) Press the sleep light button ⚙⑦ again. The sleep light is on high.
4) Press the sleep light button ✦7 again. The sleep light switches off.
Timer function
You can use the timer function to switch off the device automatically after 30, 60 or 90 minutes.
1) Press the Timer button Ⓤ ③ to set the timer. The LED of the selected timer setting lights up green.
2) Press the Timer button ⏻ ③ again to move to the next timer setting (see table below).

NOTE
▶ You can change the playback mode (sleep sound/playback from microSD card) or switch the sleep light on/off without having to reset the timer when the timer function is activated.
Playback from the microSD card
Inserting/removing the microSD card
NOTE
The device is only suitable for use with microSD or microSDHC cards up to a maximum storage capacity of 64 GB.
▶ MicroSD card playback starts automatically as soon as you insert a microSD card during playback of a sleep sound.
1) Remove the protective cover 21 on the device to get to the card slot SD 22 for the microSD card. To do this, pull the protective cover 21 off the device and flip it downwards.
2) Push the microSD card carefully into the card slot SD 22 until it audibly clicks into place. Make sure that you insert the microSD card into the card slot SD 22 with the contacts first and facing downwards (see fig. A).

Playback of audio files
NOTE
▶ Only use files in the format MP3, WMA, WAV or FLAC for playing back audio. The device does not support any other audio formats.
When the timer function is activated, the playback of the audio files from the microSD card is repeated in an endless loop until the selected timer setting has expired.
1) Insert a microSD card as previously described. If necessary, switch on the appliance and then press the microSD card playback button 📄. Playback from the microSD card starts and the microSD card playback LED 📄 lights up green.
2) You can use the buttons 4 and 6 to jump to the next/previous track by pressing and holding the corresponding button for approx. 2 seconds.
3) Press the microSD card playback button SD ② or remove the microSD card from the card slot s22 to end playback. The microSD card playback LED s10 switches off and the last selected sleep sound is played back.
Cleaning
ATTENTION
▶ Do not use abrasive, chemical or caustic cleaning agents to clean this device. This could cause irreparable damage to the device.
▶ To avoid irreparable damage to the device, ensure that no moisture can penetrate the device during cleaning.
- Clean the housing of the device with a lightly moistened cloth and a mild detergent only.
Storage when not in use
◆ Store the device in a dust-free and dry location out of direct sunlight.
◆ To ensure a long battery life, charge the battery at regular intervals.
Disposal
Disposal of the device

cent symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin means that this device is subject to Directive 2012/19/EU. This directive states that this device may not be disposed of in normal household waste at the end of its useful life, but must be taken to a specially set-up collection point, recycling depot or disposal company. The integrated rechargeable battery in this device cannot be removed for disposal.
This disposal is free of charge for the user. Protect the environment and dispose of this device properly.

Your local community or municipal authorities can provide information on how to dispose of the worn-out product.

The product is recyclable, subject to extended producer responsibility and is collected separately.
NOTE
The integrated rechargeable battery in this device cannot be removed for disposal. To prevent risks, the removal or replacement of the battery may only be carried out by the manufacturer or the manufacturer's customer service department or a similarly qualified person.
When disposing of the device, indicate that the device contains batteries.
Disposal of the packaging

The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease of disposal and are therefore recyclable.
Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.

Troubleshooting
The following instructions will help you identify and rectify minor malfunctions. If the solutions presented below do not resolve the problem, please contact Customer Service (see section Service).
The device will not switch on
■ The device's battery is empty.
» Charge the device's battery (see section Charging the internal battery).
The microSD card is not recognised
The microSD card is not correctly inserted in the card slot SD 22.
» Check whether the microSD card is correctly inserted in the card slot SD 22 (see section Inserting/removing the microSD card).
■ The microSD card type is not supported by the device.
» Make sure you are using a microSD or microSDHC card with a maximum storage capacity of 64 GB.
■ The microSD card is incorrectly formatted.
» Reformat the microSD card in a computer in FAT32 format.
Audio files are not played
■ The format of the audio files is not supported by the device.
» Only use files in the format MP3, WMA, WAV or FLAC for playing back audio.

This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period starts on the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt in a safe place. This will be required as proof of purchase.
If any material or manufacturing fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you or refund the purchase price (at our discretion). This warranty service requires that you present the defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt) within the three-year warranty period, along with a brief written description of the fault and of when it occurred.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or to fragile parts which could be considered as consumable parts such as switches, batteries or parts made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the product regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against must be avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes. The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use of force and modifications / repairs which have not been carried out by one of our authorised Service centres.
Warranty claim procedure
To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the following instructions:
■ Please have the till receipt and the item number (IAN) 367098_2101 available as proof of purchase.
■ You will find the item number on the type plate on the product, an engraving on the product, on the front page of the operating instructions (below left) or on the sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.
If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service department listed either by telephone or by e-mail.
■ You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.
