Proper use This domestic water system is intended for private use in the house and garden. The device is intended for domestic water supplies and garden irrigation. It is designed exclusively for the supply of claried water and rain water up to a tem- perature of max. 35°C. Any other use that is not expressly permit- ted in this instruction manual (e.g. supply of food, salt water, motor fuels, chemical products or water with abrasive substan- ces) may result in damage to the device and pose a serious hazard to the user. The pump switches on depending on the pressure and transports water. The switch-on point is factory-set to 1.5 bar (0.15 MPa). The cut-off pressure is factory-set to 3 bar. This is a discharge head of 30 metres. The- se settings allow the system to achieve the highest efciency in terms of performance and longevity. The cut-off pressure is ad- justable. With a cut-off pressure of 5bar, the device achieves a discharge head of 50metres. This adjustment may only be carried out by a specialist. • This device can be used by chil- dren aged 8 years and up as well as individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and knowledge if they are su- pervised or have been instructed17 IEGB in the safe use of the device and understand the resulting ha- zards.

• Children must never play with the device.

• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by child- ren if they are not supervised.

• If there are people in the water, the device must not be operated.

• Take appropriate measures to keep children away from the running device.

• Dispose of the packaging mate- rial properly.

• Do not use the device near am- mable liquids or gases. There is a risk of re or explosion if this advice is not heeded.

• Do not use for water with abra- sive particles such as sand. The pumping of aggressive, abrasive (lubricating), caustic, ammable (e.g. motor fuels) or explosive li- quids, salt water, detergents and foods is not allowed. The tempe- rature of the pumped liquid must not exceed 35°C.

• Store the device in a dry place and out of reach of children. Caution! This is how to avoid damage to the equipment and possible personal injuries resulting from this:

• Do not work with a damaged or incomplete device or one which has been converted without the permission of the manufacturer. Before commissioning, have a specialist check that the required electrical protective measures are in place.

• Do not carry or secure the de- vice by the cable or the hose.

• Protect the device from frost and from running dry.

• Use only original accessories and do not carry out any modi- cations.

• Please read the information rela- ting to the topic “Cleaning and Storage” in the instruction manual. All other measures, and opening the device in particular, must be carried out by a qualied electri- cian. Always contact our service centre in the case of repairs. Electrical safety: Caution: This is how to avoid accidents and injuries from an electric shock:

• When operating the device, the mains plug must be freely ac- cessible after installation.

• Before you commission your new domestic water system, have it checked by a specialist: - Grounding, zeroing, residual current devices must comply with the safety regulations of energy-supply companies and function properly, - Protect electrical connections against moisture. - If there is a risk of ooding, install the plug connections in a ood-proof area.

• Make sure that the mains volta- ge matches the details on the type plate.

• Perform the electrical installati- on in accordance with national regulations.18 GB IE

• Only connect the device to a so- cket with a residual current de- vice (RCD) with a rated residual current of no more than 30 mA; fuse must be at least 10 amps.

• Check the device, power cables and mains plug for damage be- fore each use. Defective power cables must not be repaired. They must be replaced. Ensure that damage to your device is repaired by a specialist.

• If the connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or their customer service or by a similarly qualied person in order to avoid hazards.

• Do not use the mains cable to pull the plug from the socket. Protect the mains cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.

• Do not carry or secure the de- vice by its mains cable.

• Use only extension cables that are splash-proof and designed for outdoor use. Always roll out the cable reel completely before use. Check the mains cable for damages.

• Remove the plug from the mains socket before carrying out work on the device, during work bre- aks and when not in use.

• Mains connection cables must not have a cross-section that is smaller than those of rubber hoses with the designation H07RN-F. The strand cross-sec- tion of the extension cable must be at least 2.5mm

Initial start-up Assembly

• If you would like to permanently install the domestic water system, screw it to the base. A screw connection with a fastening plate also prevents the device from slipping. When doing so, ensure free access to the drain screw (10). If you use the domestic water sys- tem in the house, you must seal all screw connections with sealing tape. Mains connection The domestic water system you have purchased is already equipped with a safety plug. The domestic water system is intended for connection to a 230 V~ 50 Hz earthed socket. Setting up

• Place the device on a solid, horizontal base which is also safe from ooding.

• In principle, place the domestic water system higher than the water surface out of which you would like to pump. If this is not possible, install a vacuum resistant shut-off unit between the de- vice and the suction line (available at specialised traders or DIY stores). The pressure accumulator (7) must show an air pressure of 0.15 MPa (1.5 bar) in an unused condition. Check the air pressure before the initial start-up.19 IEGB The air pressure can only be che- cked with an external pressure gauge, e.g. with a tyre ller. The mounted pressure gauge (11) only shows the water pressure. Regulate the pressure in the pressure accu- mulator (7) by removing the protective cap for the air valve (16) and pumping air into the pressure accumulator via the air valve (17) or allowing air to vent. Connecting the cables Remove the two covering caps (3) from the water inlet (14) and the water outlet (4) using e.g. a spatula or a at-head screwdriver. Do not use any connection systems with quick connectors on the suction side. If you use the domestic water sys- tem in the house, you must seal all screw connections with sealing tape. If the line connecting you to the water inlet (14) does not have a return valve, screw the adapter with backow stop (19) to the water inlet before connecting the line. The function of the domestic water system is not guaranteed through air in the suction line. Please note the instructions in the “Fill pump” section. Fill pump The domestic water system must be lled with water prior to each commissioning. Attention: Avoid dry running of the pump! Danger of overheating! Never touch an overheated pump! There is a danger of burns! When switching on the pump, ensure that the pump and suction hose are completely lled with water in order to prevent the dry running of the pump. Dry running dama- ges the device.

• Open the lter cap (1) of the domestic water system using the special key (18).

• Fill water to the rim.

• Close the lter cap again using the spe- cial key. Checks before putting into operation

• Ensure that the electrical connection is 230 V~ 50 Hz.

• Check that the electrical socket is in good condition and that it is sufciently fused (at least 10A).

• Make sure that moisture or water can never get into the mains connection. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock. Starting the device

• Connect the mains connection cable (9) to the power supply.

• Turn the device on using the on/off switch (15).

• If water is demanded, the automatic switch (12) will activate automatically if the pressure falls in the pressure ac- cumulator (7) and the pump will switch on. Once the water stops owing the vessel pressure will increase and the automatic switch will switch the pump off.20 GB IE Cleaning and storage Clean and maintain the lter (2) regularly. This will ensure good performance and a long service life. Have any work that is not descri- bed in this instruction manual per- formed by our service centre. Only use original parts. Always remove the mains plug be- fore working on the device. There is a risk of electric shock or injury from moving parts. Cleaning the lter Make sure that the lter (2) is cle- aned regularly to maintain pump capacity. Replacing a dirty lter.

2. Wash the lter (2) carefully with a

brush under clear running water. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.

3. Reinsert the lter (2) and screw the lter

cap (1) back on. All other measures, particularly opening the pump (6) must be carried out by a qua- lied electrician. Always contact our service centre in the case of repairs. Storage

• Store the device in a clean condition in a dry place, out of reach of children.

• To store, open the drain screw (10) and empty the water from the pump. Transport The carrying handle (5) can be used for transporting. Changing the switch- on and cut-off pressure (specialists only) Attention! Before changing the pres- sure, check whether the connection cables and the connected end de- vices can withstand the pressure! Attention! Danger! Risk of electric shock at the connection terminals in the pressure switch when the cover is removed. Only specialists may open and congure the pressure switch! The pressure switch is congured at the fac- tory so that most applications are covered. This preconguration can be changed as needed.

The larger screw/nut (I) is for setting the switch-on pressure and the smaller one (II) is for setting the pressure difference. The pressure is changed by turning them to the left or right.

• Turning right increases pressure

• Turning left decreases pressure Make sure the pressure difference is always 1.5 bar.21 IEGB The switch-off pressure must always be less than the maximum operating pressure of the pump and the diaphragm pressure tank. After conguring the pump, switch it on and read the pressure gauge to check whether the desired cut-off pressure and switch-on pressure are met. If necessary, repeat the conguration process above until you achieve the correct switch-on and cut-off pressure. Electrical devices must not be dispo- sed of with domestic waste.

• Take the device to a recycling plant. The plastic and metal parts used on your device can be properly sorted according to materials and grades and efciently recycled. Please contact our service centre for more information.

• Dispose of the box in paper recycling. Dispose of plastic parts in the Dual Sys- tem.22 GB IE Guarantee Dear Customer, This equipment is provided with a 3-year guarantee from the date of purchase. In case of defects, you have statutory rights against the seller of the product. These statutory rights are not restricted by our guarantee presented below. Terms of Guarantee The term of the guarantee begins on the date of purchase. Please retain the original receipt. This document is required as proof of purchase. If a material or manufacturing defect occurs within three years of the date of purchase of this product, we will repair or replace – at our choice – the product for you free of charge. This guarantee requires the defective equipment and proof of pur- chase to be presented within the three-year period with a brief written description of what constitutes the defect and when it oc- curred. If the defect is covered by our guarantee, you will receive either the repaired product or a new product. No new guarantee pe- riod begins on repair or replacement of the product. Guarantee Period and Statutory Claims for Defects The guarantee period is not extended by the guarantee service. This also applies for replaced or repaired parts. Any damages and defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately af- ter unpacking. Repairs arising after expiry of the guarantee period are chargeable. Guarantee Cover The equipment has been carefully pro- duced in accordance with strict quality guidelines and conscientiously checked prior to delivery. The guarantee applies for all material and manufacturing defects. This guarantee does not extend to cover product parts that are subject to normal wear and may there- fore be considered as wearing parts (e.g. lter or to cover damage to breakable parts (e.g. switches). Precise adherence to all of the instructions specied in the operating manual is required for proper use of the product.
