Response Notice-Facile

If your touchpad does not appear in Windows settings, first check that it is not disabled by a keyboard shortcut. According to the THOMSON NEO 17 manual, press Fn + √bl (the √bl key displays a touchpad icon) to enable or disable it.

If the touchpad remains invisible in settings:

  • Open the Device Manager (right-click on the Start button, then select it)
  • Look in the "Mice and other pointing devices" section
  • If the touchpad is listed there with a yellow exclamation mark, the driver is missing or faulty - download it from the Thomson website
  • If the device does not appear at all, it may be disabled in the BIOS: restart, press F2 during startup, and look for a "Touchpad" or "Internal Pointing Device" option to enable

These steps cover common causes. If the problem persists despite these checks, it may be a hardware defect requiring assistance from Thomson support.
