How to turn on the Prixton Studio Deluxe turntable?

Turn the power knob on the front panel. This knob also controls the volume. The LED digital screen lights up.

How to select the playback speed of a vinyl record?

Use the speed button next to the platter to choose between 33, 45, or 78 RPM, depending on your record.

Why doesn't the turntable stop at the end of the record?

Check the automatic stop button (Auto Stop ON/OFF). If it is set to OFF, the turntable continues to spin. Set it to ON for automatic stop.

How to connect a smartphone via Bluetooth?

Make sure the tonearm is on its rest. Press the 'M' button to select Bluetooth mode. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, search for 'Prixton Studio Deluxe', and connect.

How to record a vinyl to a USB drive?

Insert the USB drive. Press 'M' to switch to PHONO mode. Hold down the 'M' button until 'REC' is displayed. Press PLAY/PAUSE to start recording. To stop, hold 'M' until 'STOP', then press PLAY/PAUSE.

How to listen to FM radio?

Lift the tonearm and place it on its rest. Press 'M' to select FM mode. Press and hold PLAY/PAUSE for an automatic station scan. Use the previous/next track buttons to navigate.

What to do if the needle skips or the arm descends too fast?

The lowering mechanism needs lubrication. Manually lower the indicated part (see manual) several times to distribute the lubricant. If the problem persists, apply a small amount of multi-purpose lubricant spray.

How to replace the stylus?

Push the locking device to release the tonearm. Detach the stylus from the cartridge, gently remove it, then install a new one by securely fastening the audio cables.

Can I connect external speakers?

Yes, use the LINE OUT (RCA) jacks on the back: red for the right channel, white for the left. Connect them to the audio input of your amplifier or speakers.

How to clean the turntable?

Clean records with an antistatic cloth. For the stylus, use a small soft brush dipped in alcohol, brushing from back to front. Replace the stylus every 250 hours approx.

Fitting the dust cover

Refer to the diagram below to attached the plastic dust cover. Take care when fitting, and do not press down to hard. Remove the dust cover in the same manner, but pull the cover upwards.

Set-up: Place your turntable in a secure location where it will be protected from the elements or possible falls.

Power connection: Connect the power by 5V DC adaptor.

Lift the dust cover: The dust cover can put down when you play the vinyl record.

Turn on: Turn on the Power Switch, note that this also controls volume.

Enter into the phono mode: Press the "Play mode select key" to enter in to the PHONO mode

Speed selection: Select the speed between 33, 45 and 78 rpm through speed switch according to the speed of vinyl record.

Insert the vinyl record (Not include): Carefully remove the vinyl record from its case and place the record on the turntable plate.

Move the needle: Take off the protector of needle, release the tone arm lock and lift up the tone arm by arm lifter, slowly and gently move the needle over the record, placing it on the outermost part of the record.

Drop the needle: Once the needle is over the record, use the arm lifter press down the tone arm and put the needle under the record.

Enjoy your music: Once above steps are completed, then the vinyl record will start playing. (the turntable will stop automatically if the auto-stop switch is in the ON position when the needle has reached the end of the vinyl record. If the switch is in the OFF position then it will keep revolving until the tone arm is moved.)

FINISHING UP: Lift up the tone arm and put it on the rest position when finished, turn off the Power Switch.

Connecting to an external sound system: Connect an RCA audio cable (not supplied) to the AUDIO LINE OUT sockets on the rear of the turntable. Connect the other end of the cable to an AUDIO INPUT on the amplifier.

-Red plug into R channel output.

-White plug into L channel output.

USB/TF function: (lift up the tone arm and put it on the rest)

-Insert your USB disk or TF card.

- Wait for few second, USB or TF music will begin.

-Under this function, other functions will stop automatically.

-If you want to play the recorded music, short press "M" after USB/TF work.

USB/TF recording:

-Press the "Play mode select key" to enter in to the PHONO mode.

-Insert the USB stick or TF card and hold down the "M" key until "REC" appears on the screen, then press the "PLAY/PAUSE" key to start recording, the "REC" will flashes while recording.

-Hold down the "M" button until "STOP" appears on the screen, then press the "PLAY/PAUSE" key to stop recording.

-If you want to play the recorded music immediately, short press "M" button enter into "USB/TF" mode and click the "Previous music" button, then it will begin to playing.

Bluetooth function: (lift up the tone arm and put it on the rest)

-Enter into Bluetooth mode directly after turn on this device. Press "M" key to select Bluetooth mode under the other mode.

-Make sure the available Bluetooth device into "pairing mode".

-Choose and click the right Bluetooth name to connect.

Fm function: (Lift up the tone arm and put it on the rest)

Press "M" key to select FM mode.

-Long press "PLAY/PAUSE" for AUTO SCAN, short press "PLAY/PAUSE" for STOP SCAN.

Delete the current music: When you want to delete the current music, press and hold the "PLAY/PAUSE" button till display "DEL" and click the "PLAY/PAUSE" button once again to confirm, the currently playing music will be removed.

Aux in function: (Lift up the tone arm and put it on the rest)

Insert Aux in cable (Please note other functions will not work while cable is inserted).

Maintenance:

replacing the stylus needle:

-Push back the arm lock to release the tone arm.

-Unclip and remove the stylus needle from the cartridge then replace with a new one.

Installing a new stylus cartridge:

Note: Please exercise extreme care whilst performing this operation so as to avoid the tone arm and audio line wires from any damage.

-Gently unclip the cartridge from the tone arm.

-Gently pull out the audio wires attached to the cartridge.

-Replace with a new cartridge, please ensure audio wires are fitted securely then clip back on to the tone arm.

NOTES: We advise you to clean your records with an anti-static cloth to gain maximum enjoyment from them and to make them last.

We would also point out that for the same reason your stylus should be replaced periodically (approximately every 250 hours) Dust the stylus from time to time using a very soft brush dipped in alcohol. (Brushing from back to front of the cartridge)

When transporting your record player do not forget to

-Replace the protective cap on the stylus.

-Put the rest clip into the pick-up arm.

As shown in image 1, the indicated part must be properly lubricated internally to allow the arm to make a slow descent from the moment the lever is actuated. If this descent is too slow, it could cause that in the first moments of contact of the needle with the disc, the music reading does not sound as it should and could cause the needle to jump until the arm has completed the descent completely. To solve this problem, with the lever lowered, manually raise and lower (image 2) the indicated part several times. This will allow the internal lubricant to be distributed and the lowering speed of the arm to be corrected. If after this operation this problem persists, you can apply very gently a very small amount of multipurpose lubricant spray in the indicated area (image 3).
