Some ingredients should be shaken halfway through the preparation time. Ingredients placed on top of each other or across each other (e.g. French fries) should be shaken halfway through the preparation time. Fried snacks are not fragile when removed fromFitfryer. Snacks intended for preparation in a traditional deep fat frying device were used. Use snacks to be prepared inFitfryer orcover snacks with a thin layer of oil to ensure their tenderness. White smoke comes out of the device. Fatty ingredients are being prepared. Large amount of fat leaks into the bowl during frying fatty ingredients inFitfryer. This fat emits white smoke and the bowl may heat up more than usual. This neither affect the appliance nor the final cooking result. The bowl contains fat from previous cooking. Large amount of fat leaks into the bowl during frying fatty ingredients inFitfryer. This fat emits white smoke and the bowl may heat up more than usual. This neither affect the appliance nor the final cooking result. Fresh fries fry unevenly inFitfryer. The potato pieces were not properly soaked before frying. Soak them in a bowl for at least 30 minutes, take them out and dry them on a paper towel. Wrong type of potatoes used. Use fresh potatoes and check that they do not “fall apart” during frying. Fresh fries are not crispy after being prepared inFitfryer. The tenderness of the fries depends on the amount of oil and water in them. Dry the prepared potato pieces thoroughly before adding the oil. Prepare smaller pieces of potatoes to make them crispier.46
