FRYING GUIDELINES
- Use the appliance only on dry, stable and heat-resistant surfaces away from its edges.
- Do not use in cabinets. Steam that escapes through cover vents may cause damage. Never use without the container 9.
- Never use with no oil or with insufficient amount of oil. Never exceed the maximum level of oil! Minimal (MIN) and maximum (MAX) levels are indicated inside the container 9.
- Use only reliable quality vegetable oil or deep fry oil. Frying with butter, margarine, olive oil or animal fat is not recommended due to their lower evaporation temperature.
- Before frying remove excess water from foodstuffs to prevent excessive foaming and splattering. Do not put wet food products into hot oil! Even small amount of water results in splattering!
- Always unplug the cord from the power outlet after using. Always allow the fryer to completely cool before pouring the oil away or cleaning! The appliance should be cleaned after each use!
HOW TO USE
- Lift the lid 6.
- Remove the basket 10 from the container 9 and set it aside.
- Fill the container 9 with oil or shortening up to the MAX oil level line, but not beneath the MIN level line.
- Close the lid 6 and plug the unit to the power outlet. Set the desired temperature using the temperature controller 3. After setting the knob 2, the thermostat indicator 4 will light up. When the unit reaches the desired temperature, the thermostat indicator lights up. The recommended setting in most cases is 190^ . The preheat time is approx. 20 minutes.
- While oil is preheating prepare food for cooking.

- Fill the basket 10 up to 2/3 with foodstuffs.
With oil heated press the lid release button 5 to open it.
Caution! The appliance has a special cool touch casing – the fryer inside is very hot – do not touch it!
- Slowly lift the lid 6 with special caution taken not to touch hot surfaces. Place the filled basket 10 into the container so the handle is positioned in the slot on the appliance front part edge.
-
Tighten and close the lid 6.
-
Release the lock button 12 and lower the handle 11. The basket 10 will be automatically lowered into oil.
- It is normal for the viewing window 7 to get steamy for the first several minutes. Steam will disappear while frying provided the viewing window is clean.
Caution! It is normal for steam to escape through cover vents while frying. To avoid steam burns, keep hands and face away from the cover vents.
- When frying time has elapsed, lift the basket handle 11 until it locks in upright position – this will automatically lift the basket 10 to draining position.
- Press the release button 5 to open the lid 6. Allow all steam to escape, then cautiously lift the lid 6 to the upright position not touching hot surfaces. Check if the food is well fried. If more cooking time is needed, close the lid and lower the basket back according to point 4-6.

Rinse the lid thoroughly and leave it to dry after washing. The aluminium mesh filter is not replaceable. When dry, reinstall the lid back in the appliance. The lid is dishwasher-safe.
USEFUL TIPS
When using the fryer for the first time a slight odour or light smoking can occur. This is normal during initial use.
It is recommended to fry products of similar size and thickness so they fry more equally in the same time.
Fill the basket no more than 2/3 full. If more products are fried, they will not be crisp.
▶ Fish, vegetables and meat should be coated before frying.
Use only metal cutlery. Plastic or rubber cutlery will be damaged in hot oil! Do not leave cutlery in the fryer!
After each use, strain oil through a double thickness of cheesecloth/ fine sieve to remove the accumulated residue.
The number of times the frying oil can be reused will depend on the food that is fried in it. It will need to be replaced more often if coated fish or meat is fried.
It is time to replace the frying oil if any of the following occur: the oil is dark in colour, smokes when it is heated, or foams excessively during frying.
