How to connect the cooler to mains power?

Use the 220-240 V mains cable. Plug it into the AC socket of the device, then into a wall outlet. Set the switch to NORMAL or ECO.

Can I use the device in a car?

Yes, with the supplied 12 V cable. The vehicle engine must be running to save the battery. Plug into the cigarette lighter and set to NORMAL.

What does ECO mode mean?

ECO mode reduces energy consumption but cools less. It is intended for mains use (220-240 V) and for light loads.

How to open the cooler?

The lid is locked when the handle is lowered. To open, push the handle downward to unlock it.

Does the device cool continuously?

No, it operates as long as it is plugged in. It has no automatic shut-off. Unplug it to turn it off.

How to clean the cooler?

First unplug. Never immerse the device. Remove the lid (pull upward) and clean the interior/exterior with a damp cloth and a little dish soap. Dry thoroughly.

Why does the device not work on 12 V?

Check the fuse of the 12 V plug (replace if necessary) and the vehicle's cigarette lighter. Consult a specialist if the problem persists.

Where to store the device when not in use?

Clean it, dry it completely, store the cable and keep it in its original packaging in a dry, ventilated place out of reach of children.

What foods can I store?

If the heat generated by the operation is not properly dissipated, it can result in overheating and fire.

Intended Use

The appliance is suitable for cooling pre-chilled food and drinks.

It is intended for use in the household and in similar applications, such as:

• In motor vehicles.

It is not intended for the following use:

Unpacking the Appliance

1. Remove the appliance from the package.
2. Remove all packaging material such as films, filler, cable holders and cardboard.
3. Check the delivery contents for completeness.
4. Should the package contents be incomplete or damages be found, do not take the appliance into operation. Take it immediately back to the dealer.

NOTE:

Dust or production residues can be located on the appliance. We recommend to clean the appliance as described under "Cleaning".

Notes for Use

General Notes

• Never place the appliance next to naked flames or other heat sources.
• For best results, only store already cooled food / beverages in the cooler. Select a place of use that is protected from direct sunlight.
• The lid is locked when the handle is pushed back and when carrying.
• To open the cooler box, pull the handle forward.
• Do not open the lid more often than required. Do not leave the lid open more often than it is necessary. This affects the cooling performance.
• The cooling duration depends on the ambient temperature.
• The appliance is not suitable for permanent operation.

• The appliance can be connected to two different energy sources.

• Alternating current: 220 - 240V or

• Direct current: 12 V =

• Use the switch to select an operating mode.

NORMAL or ECO?

In order to operate the appliance in energy-efficient mode, use the setting ECO.

NOTE:

• You may only use the appliance with the function ECO when connecting it to alternating current 220 - 240V .
• The output is reduced in the operating mode ECO. Use this operating mode when there are smaller loads in the cooler box, for example.

Using the Appliance

The switch for the operating mode, the AC connection socket and the DC cable can be found at the backside of the appliance.

Connection to the Alternating Current

1. Check to make sure that the mains voltage that you want to use is 220 - 240V
2. Plug the power cord for alternating current into the AC socket on the appliance.
3. Connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket.
4. Set the switch to NORMAL or ECO.

Connection to the Direct Current

1. Remove the power cord for the alternating current, if necessary.
2. Turn on the engine of the motor vehicle.
3. Remove the DC cable from the cable storage compartment at the backside of the appliance.

CAUTION:

The cable is firmly connected to the appliance. You won't be able to remove it.

1. Connect the appliance to the cigarette lighter in the motor vehicle.
2. Set the switch to NORMAL.

NOTE:

Protect the battery of your motor vehicle. Only run the appliance in the motor vehicle while the engine is running.

Terminating Operation

There is no automatic shut-off. The appliance runs permanently as long as it is connected to a power source.

1. Unplug the power cord from the socket or the cigarette lighter.
2. If you have operated the appliance with alternating current, unplug the connection cable from the appliance.

Cleaning

WARNING:

• Always disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply before cleaning.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water! It could result in an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION:

• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.

• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

• The lid is removable. Pull the lid upwards out of the holder. Pay attention to the guidings.

• Use a moist towel to clean the inside and the outside. You may add a dishwashing liquid to the towel.
• Dry it with a cloth afterwards.
• Fasten the lid back into the holder.

Storage

• Clean the appliance as described and allow it to dry.
• If necessary, store the DC cable in the cable storage compartment.
  We recommend to keep the appliance in the original packaging if it will not be used for long periods.
  Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a dry, well ventilated place.

Troubleshooting
