Frequently Asked Questions - IAN 283087 SILVERCREST

How to synchronize the transmitter and receiver?
After inserting the batteries, the receiver automatically enters synchronization mode. Otherwise, press and hold the synchronization button (7) for about 3 seconds. The receiver indicator lights up. Then press the doorbell button (11). The transmitter indicator lights up briefly, then the receiver indicator stays lit. Synchronization is successful. Synchronization mode lasts a maximum of 2 minutes.
What to do if the doorbell does not ring despite new batteries?
First check the battery polarity: the positive (+) side must be oriented as shown in the compartment. Clean the contacts with a dry cloth. Try resetting: unplug the receiver (or remove batteries for 2 minutes), then reconnect. Resynchronize the transmitter and receiver. If the problem persists, the transmitter may be defective.
How many batteries does the transmitter (outdoor button) use?
The transmitter uses a single CR2032 battery (3 V). Caution: do not confuse with the receiver which uses two AA batteries.
Can I use rechargeable batteries?
The manual recommends using only batteries of the specified type (AA for the receiver, CR2032 for the transmitter). Rechargeable batteries may have a different voltage and are not recommended. Use new, high-quality batteries.
How to adjust the doorbell volume?
Press the volume button (6) repeatedly to cycle through the 4 levels: very high, high, medium, low. The setting is saved automatically.
How to change the doorbell melody?
Press the ringtone selection button (4). The first melody plays. Press again to go to the next. Repeat until you find the desired melody; it is automatically saved. More than 36 melodies are available.
What does the flashing indicator on the receiver mean?
A flashing signal indicator (1) indicates that the receiver batteries are low or depleted. Replace both AA batteries with new ones, observing polarity.
Is the transmitter weather-resistant?
Yes, the transmitter (outdoor button) has a protection rating of IP44, which protects it against splashing water. It can be installed outdoors, but avoid direct exposure to heavy rain or prolonged humidity.
What to do if the connection between the transmitter and receiver is lost?
Remove the batteries from both devices for about 2 minutes. Reinsert the batteries and perform synchronization again as described in the manual. Ensure that the range (150 m in open field) is not exceeded and that there are no significant metal obstacles.
How to clean the doorbell?
Clean the outside of the receiver and transmitter with a soft, dry cloth. Never use liquids or cleaning products, as they could damage the device. Remove the batteries before thorough cleaning.
