How to change accessories?

To attach an accessory, align the symbol ⚙ on the accessory with the mark ⏰ on the main body, then rotate the ring or accessory until the symbol is aligned with the mark ☐. To remove, align the symbol ☐ with the mark ☐ and pull.

What temperature to choose for my hair?

Use the Low setting (I) for fine, delicate, damaged or bleached hair. Use the High setting (II) for thick, very curly and hard-to-style hair. The Cool setting (✝) is used to set the style.

How to use the rotation function?

Only the 30 mm rotating clamp and the 40 mm brush rotate. Press the right arrow (▶) for clockwise rotation, or the left arrow (◀) for counterclockwise rotation. Rotation starts only after a temperature has been selected.

How to create curls with the rotating clamp?

Place the end of a strand under the clamp, then press the appropriate rotation switch to wind the strand around the cylinder up to the roots. Release the switch and hold the clamp in place for 10 seconds or until the strand is dry. Unwind the clamp and release the curl.

How to use the brush to add volume?

Place the 40 mm rotating brush under a strand near the roots, lift the hair while drying. Rotate the brush away from the head while moving it downward. For more volume, wrap the end of the strand around the brush and use rotation to wind the entire length up to the roots.

How to clean the device?

After use, turn off and unplug the device, let it cool. Wipe all surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products. Clean the intake grille regularly by removing it (FIG C) and brushing it with a soft brush.

Can I use the device on wet hair?

It is recommended to dry your hair to 80% before using the styling accessories. Use the pre-styling nozzle to dry the strands and roots. The device should not be used near water or on very wet hair to avoid damage.

What to do if the device does not heat up?

Check that the device is plugged in and that the temperature switch is in a position other than 0. Make sure you have selected a temperature (I or II). If the problem persists, the power cord may be damaged; stop using and contact Remington consumer service.

Is the device suitable for professional use?

No, this device is intended for household use only, not for commercial or salon use. Intensive use may reduce its lifespan.

How to store the device?

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

• Plug the product into the mains power supply.
• Select your attachment before you turn on the appliance.

To fit an attachment:

- Align the symbol on the attachment with the mark on the body (fig. A).

- Turn the ring on rotating attachments (30 mm tong and 40mm brush), or the attachment itself (paddle brush or pre-styling nozzle) until the 🔒 symbol is aligned with the ⏻ mark to secure (fig. B).

To remove an attachment

- Align the symbol with the mark and pull the attachment off the handle.

Temperature settings

• There are three temperature settings on the stylist High, Low and Cool (for setting the style).
• To turn the appliance on slide the temperature control switch to I for low heat, II for high heat or ✝ for the cool setting.
• Select the appropriate temperature for your hair type:

Rotation settings

• Only the 30 mm tong and the 40 mm brush rotate.
• To use the rotating function press the right arrow (▶) on the rotation switch to rotate the attachments clockwise and the left arrow (◀) to rotate the attachments anti clockwise.
• NOTE: The brush and tong attachments will only start rotating when a temperature setting has been selected.

Prepare the hair for styling

• Wash and condition the hair as normal.
• Squeeze out excess moisture with a towel and comb through.
  • Using the pre-styling nozzle rough dry the length and roots until 80% dry.
• Divide the hair into sections, style the lower layers first.

Create volume and shape using the 40mm rotating brush

• To dry your roots and add volume, place the brush underneath the section close to the roots and hold for a few seconds, lifting the hair as you dry.
• Move the stylist downwards through the hair section, at the same time rotate the brush away from the head by pressing and holding ◀or ▶ as required.
• Keep moving the stylist downwards to resist the brush rotation. Doing this will create tension through the section of hair.
• If the brush spins too quickly release the rotation switch and remove the brush from your hair.
• To create shape, continue rotating the brush until you reach the ends of the hair and then roll the ends under.
• For even more volume, wrap the bottom of the hair section around the brush. Press and hold the applicable rotation switch (◀▶) and wind the entire length of the section around the barrel, stopping at the roots. Release the rotation switch and hold the brush in the hair for a few seconds or until the section is dry.
• Repeat this around the head.
• Let the hair cool before styling.
• Let the attachment cool before removing.
• Place the protective cover over the brush head to protect the bristles from damage in storage.

Create loose curls with the 30 mm rotating tong

• Place the end of a section of hair underneath the tong clip.

• Press and hold the applicable rotation switch (◀▶) and wind the entire length of the section around the barrel, stopping at the roots.

• Release the rotation switch and hold the tong in your hair for 10 seconds or until the section is dry.

• Unwind the tong and release the curl.
• Repeat this around the head.
• Let the hair cool before styling.
• Let the attachment cool before removing.

Create smooth, sleek hair using the firm paddle brush

• Starting at the roots, slowly brush through each section just as you would with a normal brush.
• To add additional volume tip your head upside down and brush the underneath of your hair.
• When dry use your fingers to shape the hair and ends.
• Let the attachment cool before removing

Cool setting

- To set your style whilst using any of the attachments, use the cool setting. To operate slide the temperature control switch to the ✝ position.

STORAGE, CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• After use, turn the appliance off by moving the temperature control switch to the O position.
• Unplug the appliance and allow to cool before cleaning and storing away.
• Wipe all surfaces with a damp cloth
• Don't use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents,
• To maintain peak product performance and to prolong motor life, it is important to regularly remove any dust and dirt from the air filter grille and clean with a soft brush.
• Remove the grille as shown (fig. C), clean with a cloth or soft brush, then replace it.
