Use the Moist setting (moist food) on the Food button. Place the food in the bag, insert the opening into the suction compartment, close the lid and press VAC/Seal.
Can I use bags not provided with this device?
Yes, you can use compatible vacuum bags from other brands, provided they have a maximum width of 30 cm and are suitable for vacuum sealing.

How to correctly position the vacuum bag in the Koenic KVS 3411 M machine?
Frequently Asked Questions - 10/04/2026
Response Notice-Facile

To correctly position the vacuum bag in the Koenic KVS 3411 M machine, it is essential to follow a precise procedure that ensures optimal sealing. This machine has a specialized suction compartment where the bag must be placed in a very specific way to allow for proper operation.

Preparation of the bag and contents: Start by filling your vacuum bag with the food or items to be preserved. It is crucial not to overfill the bag. Leave sufficient space (about 10 to 15 centimeters) at the opening, as this area will be placed in the suction compartment. Also, ensure that the suction nozzle (part N of the machine) will not be blocked or covered by the bag during the process.

Correct insertion into the suction compartment: Insert the opening of the bag into the suction compartment of the machine. This opening must be placed at the center of the suction area. The goal is to create an airtight seal between the mouth of the bag and the sealing elements of the machine. Make sure that the suction nozzle (internal hose) remains clear and is not blocked by the bag material.

Preparation of the bag opening: The most important step is the preparation of the opening itself. It must be absolutely dry, clean, smooth, and free of any folds or creases. A wet, dirty, or wrinkled opening will lead to insufficient sealing or air leaks after vacuuming. You can gently wipe the opening with a clean, dry cloth before inserting it if necessary.

Closing the lid: Once the bag is correctly positioned, carefully close the lid. Press firmly to ensure that both locking hooks (located on the sides - element I) engage properly. You should hear or feel a distinct click indicating that the lid is securely locked. This pressure ensures that the suction compartment and the bag form a sealed system.

Practical tips for large items: If you are vacuuming large items, gently pull on the opening of the bag while inserting it into the compartment, and keep it taut until the suction pump starts (you may want to enlist a second person for this operation). This prevents wrinkles from forming during sealing. If the item has sharp edges, first wrap them in a soft cloth or paper towel to avoid puncturing the bag during suction.

After positioning: Before starting the process, select the appropriate mode: “Dry” for dry foods or “Moist” for wetter foods. If you are uncertain about the positioning, double-check that the opening is well placed and that the lid is securely locked. Following these steps ensures effective vacuum sealing and prolongs the shelf life of your food.

General information on use for vacuuming and sealing in vacuum bags

Fig.1 Put the food or the items that you want to preserve inside the vacuum bag. Insert the opening of the bag into the vacuum chamber. Make sure the vacuum nozzle is not covered by the bag.
Fig. 2 Close the lid. If necessary press down the lid firmly so the latches at both sides lock in place.

Warning

Do not to vacuum liquids. Liquids must not enter the vacuum nozzle or the inner of the product.

Vacuuming and sealing or sealing only

Fig. 3 Carry out the desired operation.

A) Vacuuming and sealing

  • Food button
Setting Dry: for dry foods and goods
Setting Moist: for wet or moist foods
  • Speed button
Normal: to vacuum foods or goods normally (relatively firm)
Gentle: to vacuum sensitive, e.g. crumbly foods or goods gently.

Push the VAC/Seal button to start the vacuuming and sealing process. The VAC/

Seal indicator LED is on when the air is vacuumed out of the bag. Afterwards the sealing process of the bags starts automatically indicated by the Seal indicator LED. The vacuuming process can be stopped at any time by pushing the Stop button.

B) Sealing only

Instead of pushing the VAC/Seal button push the Seal button. Doing so the bag will not be vacuumed but the bag will be sealed only.

Fig. 4 Once the Seal indicator LED is off push the release buttons at both sides, open the lid and remove the sealed vacuum bag.

Vacuuming in suitable food containers

Note: For correct use of food containers, e.g. connecting and disconnection to and from the vacuum bag sealer or for opening the vacuumed food container follow its instructions for use and safety.

Fig.5 Place the foods or goods in a food container (not included) suitable for vacuuming and close the lid.

Note: Leave clearance of about 2.5 cm between food and lid.

Fig. 6 Plug one end of the vacuum hose (not included) onto the vacuum nozzle and the other end plug into the hole or onto the valve of the lid of food container.
Fig.7 Push the Canister button - the lid of vacuum bag sealer must be opened for doing so. If the defined vacuum is reached the vacuum process stops automatically. You can also stop the vacuum process earlier by pushing again the Canister button. If vacuuming process is finished firstly remove the vacuum hose from lid of food container and then from vacuum nozzle.

Tips for vacuuming

  • Do not overfill the bags; leave enough length at the opening of the bag so that it can be placed in the vacuum chamber easily.
  • Ensure that the opening of the bag is dry, clean, flat and absolutely free of wrinkles. A wet, dirty or wrinkled bag opening might be insufficiently sealed or may leak.
  • To prevent wrinkles in a seal when vacuum sealing bulky items, gently stretch flat the bag while inserting into the vacuum chamber and hold it stretched until the pump begins to work (possibly a 2nd person needed).
Vacuum seal cannot completely replace the refrigeration and freezing of foods. Perishable foods still need to be refrigerated or frozen.
  • When you are vacuum sealing items with sharp edges protect the bag from punctures by wrapping items in soft cushioning material, such as tissue paper.
  • Pre-freeze fruits and blanch vegetables before vacuum sealing for the best results.
  • Intervals for 40 seconds after seal or vacuum are recommended.
If you are unsure whether your bag was sealed properly, just reseal the bag.
