Frequently Asked Questions - DEEBOT 901 ECOVACS

How to recharge my DEEBOT 901?
Place the robot on the docking station. Make sure the charging contacts on the robot are properly connected to the charging pins. The robot will recharge automatically when the battery is low. For the first charge, leave it for 4 hours. If the battery is completely drained, reactivate it by placing the robot on the station, wait 3 minutes, remove it, repeat 3 times, then charge normally.
What if the robot does not return to the docking station?
Check that the docking station is correctly positioned: clear of any obstacles, with at least 0.5 m on each side and 1.5 m in front. See section 3.2 of the manual for more details.
How to connect the robot to the ECOVACS app?
Download the ECOVACS app from the App Store or Google Play. Make sure the robot is powered on and the Wi-Fi indicator is blinking slowly. If not, press the reset button with a needle for 3 seconds. Follow the instructions in the app to configure the Wi-Fi network.
What is the difference between the main brush and direct suction?
The main brush offers deep cleaning thanks to a combination of brush and strong suction. The direct suction is specially designed to pick up hair without blocking the system, ideal for pet owners. You can install either according to your needs.
How often should I clean the filters?
The filters (sponge and high-efficiency) should be cleaned once a week. Replacement is recommended every 3 to 6 months to maintain optimal robot performance.
The robot does not clean the entire room, why?
Make sure the cleaning area is tidy: remove small objects on the floor, electrical cords, curtains touching the floor, and carpet fringes. Arrange furniture to allow the robot to access the entire surface.
The robot stops during cleaning, what to do?
The robot may be blocked by an obstacle. It tries to solve the problem automatically. If the stop persists, manually remove the obstacle and restart the robot. Also clean the suction head, brushes, and dust bin if necessary.
How to replace the battery?
The battery should only be replaced by qualified persons. Contact ECOVACS customer service for assistance. Do not attempt to replace it yourself.
Can I use the robot on carpets?
Yes, but before using the robot on a short-pile carpet with tasseled edges, fold the edges under themselves to prevent them from getting caught in the robot. Avoid very thick carpets or long-fringed rugs.
The Wi-Fi indicator is blinking, what does it mean?
A Wi-Fi indicator that blinks slowly means the robot is ready for network configuration. If the indicator is steady or blinking quickly, consult the manual or reset the Wi-Fi module by pressing the reset button with a needle for 3 seconds.
