Why does the CoolFun MB40 freeze the contents and how to regulate the temperature?
Frequently Asked Questions - 10 j
Response Notice-Facile

The PDF of this manual for the CoolFun MB40 model does not mention programmable temperature control. The CoolFun MB40 is a basic thermoelectric cooler that operates continuously and cools up to 22°C below ambient temperature - without a digital thermostat.

If you observe that the contents are freezing excessively:

  • Check your environment - The lower the outside temperature, the more the device cools strongly. In a cool environment, cooling can be very intense and freeze food.
  • Ensure good ventilation - Check that the rear ventilation grilles are not obstructed. Insufficient ventilation can reduce efficiency and cause problems.
  • Partially insulate the contents - You can place a towel or cardboard between the cold walls and your food to limit direct contact and excessive freezing.
  • Limit operating times - The MB40 is designed to cool, not to freeze. Do not use the device for extended periods without checking the condition of the contents.

If you have a special version with adjustable thermostat, refer to the dedicated section of your user manual for adjustment instructions.
