How to set the time on the Electrolux EKF7600 coffee maker?

Plug in the appliance. The display flashes with the default time (12:00). Press the Hours and Minutes buttons to set. You can also adjust the time at any time by pressing these buttons.

How to program the coffee maker to start automatically?

Press the Program button for more than one second. The green indicator flashes. Set the start time with Hours and Minutes, then press Program again to confirm. The 'auto' symbol appears.

How to use the aroma selector?

Press the Aroma button to choose the intensity: once for mild, twice for medium, three times for strong. This extends the brew time for a stronger coffee, ideal for fewer than 6 cups.

How to enable or disable the audible alarm?

Press and hold the Min and Aroma buttons (③ and ④) simultaneously when the appliance is not in operation. The alarm sounds 3 times at the end of the cycle. By default, it is enabled after a power interruption.

Why does my coffee maker not turn off?

The Safety auto shut-off function turns off the machine after 40 minutes. If it does not turn off, check that the timer is not in manual mode. You can also turn it off manually with the on/off switch.

How to clean the Electrolux EKF7600 coffee maker?

Turn off and unplug the appliance. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. The carafe and its lid, as well as the filter holder, are dishwasher safe. Never immerse the body of the machine.

When and how to descale the coffee maker?

Approximately every 70 uses. Fill the water tank with cold water, add a descaling agent. Place the closed carafe. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then turn on. After the cycle, rinse at least twice with fresh water.

What to do if coffee overflows from the filter?

Do not remove the carafe for more than 30 seconds during brewing. The anti-drip system prevents dripping, but prolonged removal causes the filter to overflow. Also check that you are using the right amount of coffee.

Can I use a paper filter instead of the permanent filter?

Yes, use a paper filter 1x4 in the filter holder. You can also use the supplied permanent filter. Both are suitable.

How to reset the coffee maker to factory settings?

Unplug the appliance for a few seconds then plug it back in. The clock resets to 12:00. Other settings (programming, alarm) must be redone manually.

GETTING STARTED

1 Place the machine on a flat surface. When starting the machine for the first time, fill the tank with cold water. Start the machine with the ON/OFF switch. Let a full tank of water pass through the machine once or twice to clean it, without using a paper filter or coffee.
Setting/changing time. Plug in the machine, the display will flash the initial time showing: 12:00. Press the HOUR and MIN button to set the required time. Time can be changed at any time, even under program mode. Simply press the HOUR and MIN button, the time changes at once. Note: if you unplug the machine, the time needs so be set again.
3 Making coffee: open the lid and fill the water tank with fresh cold water up to the desired level. There is a water level indicator on the water tank and on the coffee jug. (The machine must not be used with empty tank!)
4 Insert the permanent filter* or a 1x4 size paper filter in the filter holder and fill it with grounded coffee. There is a gauge for recommended number of spoons of coffee next to the water gauge. For average strong coffee 1 measuring spoon (approx. 6-7 g) per cup is sufficient. Close the water tank lid and place the jug back (complete with lid).
Setting/changing delay time. Press and hold PROGRAM button more than 1 second, then release the PROGRAM button, the green program light flashes, set hours by pressing the HOUR button. Then set minutes by pressing the MIN button. Press the PROGRAM button again to confirm, the display will go back to show the current time immediately, and display show "auto" symbol, green program light illuminate Note: If user don't press program button again, the display will go back to show the current time after 5 seconds, and setting delay time is cancelled.
Sound alarm on/off: The bugle symbol flashes on the display by default. The symbol blinks, and it continues to light when brewing. The buzzer beeps 3 times when the coffee is ready. To turn on/off the sound alarm function, press and hold the MIN button and the button at same time. The sound alarm function can only be turned on/off on a non-working mode, it cannot be changed during brewing. Note: The alarm shows by default when the machine is unplugged. Repeat this procedure to turn it off.
The Aroma Selector extends the brewing time to maximize the flavour extraction and get a stronger coffee for a small number of cups (normally less than 6). Press, once for mild strength, twice for medium and 3 times for strong coffee.
8 Start the machine with the ON/OFF switch. The power indicator light will come on and hot water will flow into the filter. If the machine is not turned off manually, the Safety Auto-Off function turns it off 40 minutes after the end of brewing.
If the jug is removed, the filter valve prevents coffee from dripping onto the warming plate. (While preparing coffee, the jug must not be removed for longer than 30 seconds or the filter will overflow.)

CLEANING AND CARE

10 Turn the machine off and unplug the power cord. Wipe all outer surfaces with a damp cloth. Coffee jug and jug lid are dishwasher proof. Never use caustic or abrasive cleaners, and never immerse the machine in liquid!
To clean the filter holder, lift up the handle and remove the filter holder. To clean the filter valve thoroughly, push it several times while it is being rinsed. The filter holder can also be washed in the dishwasher.
As a precaution we recommend descending after 70 uses. Use only an environmentally friendly descending agent and always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
13 First fill the fresh water container with water and then add the descending agent. Place the coffee jug with the lid on the warming plate. Allow the descending solution to work for approximately 15 minutes, then switch on the appliance. Once the descending solution has percolated through, switch the appliance off. If necessary, repeat the descending procedure. Repeat the procedure at least twice using clear water.
14 Rinse the coffee jug, jug lid and filter insert thoroughly under running water. Activate the anti-drip valve several times as it is rinsed.
