1. Items included in the package

The cosmetic mirror is solely for the purpose of supporting your daily skin care routine, such as assessing cos- metics, and has a mirror surface with 5x magnification. The purpose of the built-in lighting is simply to improve visualisation of the applied cosmetics, and is not suitable for lighting a room. The device is only intended for the purpose described in these operating instructions. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damage occurring as a result of inappropriate or careless use. This device is intended for household use only, not for commercial applications.

4. Warnings and safety notes

Please read these operating instructions carefully. Failure to observe the information provided below can lead to personal injury or material damage. Keep these instructions in a safe place where they can also be read by other persons using the device. Always pass on these instructions together with the appliance if you sell it or pass it on.   • Contact with direct sunlight poses an increased risk of fire. Therefore, you should avoid exposing the mirror area to direct sunlight.
  • Keep children away from the packaging materials. Risk of suffocation.
  • Children must be supervised when using this device. CAUTION
  • Before use, make sure that the device and accessories do not show any visible signs of damage. If you are in any doubt, do not use it and contact your dealer or a specified customer service address.
  • Use only the power supply unit supplied for this purpose.
  • Do not stretch, twist or kink the power cord.
  • Do not position the power cord on or pull it over sharp or pointed objects.
  • Plug the power cable into a correctly installed mains outlet.
  • Do not open the case under any circumstances.
  • Keep the device away from pointed or sharp objects.
  • If the device has been dropped or otherwise damaged, it must not be used again.
  • Switch the device off and unplug it from the power supply after every use and before every cleaning.

WARNING: Electric shock

Just like any other electrical appliance, the illuminated cosmetic mirror must be handled with due care and attention in order to prevent the risk of electric shock. For this reason, the device must only be operated as follows:

  • with the mains voltage specified on the device only,
  • never use the device if any damage to the appliance itself or to any of its accessories is evident,
  • never during a thunderstorm. Switch the device off immediately if it is defective or nor working properly and disconnect it from the power supply. Do not pull the power cord or the device to disconnect the power supply unit from the socket. Nev- er hold or carry the device by the power cord. Keep the cables away from hot surfaces. Keep the device, the plug and cables away from water or other liquids. For this reason, the device must be operated as follows:
  • only in dry inside rooms,
  • only with dry hands,
  • never in the bath, in the shower or near a filled basin,
  • never in swimming pools, whirlpools or in the sauna,
  • never out in the open.11 Never try to retrieve the device if it falls into water. Disconnect the plug immediately from the mains outlet.
  • Repairs to electrical appliances must only be carried out by qualified persons. Incorrect repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user.
  • In the event of repairs, please contact our customer service or an authorised dealer.
  • If the power supply unit or its cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorised dealer.

WARNING: Fire hazard

There is a risk of fire if the device is used incorrectly or if it is not used according to these operating instruc- tions! For this reason, the device must only be operated as follows:

  • Never leave the device unsupervised, particularly if children are around.
  • Never use the device under covers, such as blankets or pillows.
  • Never use the device in the vicinity of petrol or other easily flammable materials.

  • Remove the packaging.
  • Check the device, power supply and cables for damage.
  • Connect the device to the mains power. The device must be switched off at this time.
  • Route the cable safely so that there is no risk of anyone tripping over it. The standard side or the magnified side of the mirror can be used. Simply rotate the mirror to the required side. The light can be switched on and off with the button in the base.12

7. Cleaning and maintenance

  • Disconnect the device before cleaning it.
  • Only clean the appliance in the manner specified. Fluid must never be allowed to enter into the device or accessories.
  • Do not use the device again until it is completely dry.
  • Do not clean the device in the dishwasher.
  • Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or hard brushes.
  • First unplug the device and allow it to cool off. Then you can clean it with a soft, slightly moistened cloth. Then wipe it dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.

11. Warranty/Service

Beurer GmbH,Söflinger Straße 218, 89077 Ulm, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “Beurer”) provides a warran- ty for this product, subject to the requirements below and to the extent described as follows. The warranty conditions below shall not aect the seller’s statutory warranty obligations which ensue from the sales agreement with the buyer. The warranty shall apply without prejudice to any mandatory statutory provisions on liability. Beurer guarantees the perfect functionality and completeness of this product. The worldwide warranty period is 3 years, commencing from the purchase of the new, unused product from the seller. The warranty only applies to products purchased by the buyer as a consumer and used exclusively for personal purposes in the context of domestic use. German law shall apply. During the warranty period, should this product prove to be incomplete or defective in functionality in ac

cordance with the following provisions, Beurer shall carry out a repair or a replacement delivery free of charge, in accordance with these warranty conditions. If the buyer wishes to make a warranty claim, they should approach their local retailer in the first in

stance: see the attached “International Service” list of service addresses. The buyer will then receive further information about the processing of the warranty claim, e.g. where they can send the product and what documentation is required. A warranty claim shall only be considered if the buyer can provide Beurer, or an authorised Beurer partner, with – a copy of the invoice/purchase receipt, and – the original product. The following are explicitly excluded from this warranty: – deterioration due to normal use or consumption of the product; – accessories supplied with this product which are worn out or used up through proper use (e.g. batteries, re

chargeable batteries, cuffs, seals, electrodes, light sources, attachments and nebuliser accessories); – products that are used, cleaned, stored or maintained improperly and/or contrary to the provisions of the inst

ructions for use, as well as products that have been opened, repaired or modified by the buyer or by a service centre not authorised by Beurer; – damage that arises during transport between manufacturer and customer, or between service centre and cus

tomer; – products purchased as seconds or as used goods; – consequential damage arising from a fault in this product (however, in this case, claims may exist arising from product liability or other compulsory statutory liability provisions).
