TIPS FOR OPTIMAL FROTHED MILK
The best results are obtained with milk that has been refrigerated.
You can use any type of milk for frothing. The best results are obtained with 1.5% skim milk.
But also try using other milk types from time to time, each type produces a different consistency of the froth.
For people with allergies we recommend soy milk.
Factors, such as freshness or degree of pasteurisation can have an effect on the frothing process.
However you can also produce a particularly creamy salad dressing with the milk frother.
BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE THE FIRST TIME
- Remove all packaging materials and any transport safeguards.
-
Clean all parts with a damp cloth, as described in the chapter "Cleaning and care" on page 19.
-
Check to make sure that the appliance is stable.
- Connect the appliance to the mains supply (220-240 V~, 50/60 Hz) using the supply cable.
MAGNETIC ATTACHMENTS

The two attachments are magnetic and consequently can simply be placed on the stir rod on the lid. Simply fit the desired attachment on the stir rod, it stays on by itself.

Select this attachment for frothed milk. The attachment is shaped like a blunger

The smooth attachment is optimal for producing hot milk. For technical reasons some froth also forms when heating milk.
OPERATION
- Place the removable milk canister in the appliance.
- Select the desired attachment and fasten it on the stir rod. The attachments are magnetic and consequently are simply placed on the stir rod.
-
Pour the desired amount of milk into the canister. Comply with the minimum and maximum fill quantities to ensure an optimal function:
-
Frothed milk: Fill a minimum of 100ml and a maximum 200ml of milk in the container
Hot milk: Fill a minimum of 100 ml and a maximum 400 ml of milk in the container
For easier handling, appropriate marks are provided in the interior of the canister.
-
Close the appliance with the lid. Turn the lid until the black arrow on the lid is precisely above the symbol.
-
Connect the appliance to the mains supply. A signal tone will sound and all indicator lights will be illuminated for approx. three seconds. Then all indicator lights will go out.
-
Now press the ON/OFF button once. A signal tone will sound. All indicator lights will be continuously illuminated blue and the appliance fan will switch on briefly. Caution: If you do not push a button within approx. three minutes, the appliance will switch off.
- Select the desired temperature level: 35, 65 or 75^ or "Cold" for cold froth and press the appropriate button. The entry will be confirmed by a signal tone.

- The indicator light of the pressed button will flash, the appliance starts with preparation.
-
If you would like to interrupt the preparation, press the "ON/OFF" button. However, if you want to select a different level, simply press the desired level, the appliance will change to this level, the button that you have just pressed will flash.
-
In approx. 90 seconds the milk froth or the hot milk is ready and the appliance stops automatically.
- Now unlock the lid by turning it to the symbol and lift it upward and away from the appliance.
- You can pour the finished milk froth into a container or use a ladle.
- If you want to prepare more milk froth, please allow the appliance to cool off for 2 to 4 minutes. Clean all container as described in the chapter on Cleaning and Care.

CLEANING AND CARE
- Before cleaning, always turn off the appliance and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
- Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning it.
- For hygienic reasons, the appliance must be cleaned immediately after use. Otherwise, harmful germs could form in the milk residues.

RECIPES
With milk froth you can prepare hot and cold coffee specialties.
Capuccino - the classic Italian
It consists of 1/3 espresso, 1/3 hot milk and 1/3 milk froth. If you wish you may decorate it with chocolate powder.
Caffe Latte
This coffee is known in France as Café au lait, a milk coffee. It is also made of espresso. Add the desired quantity of heated milk and, if you wish, crown it with a bit of froth milk.
Latte Macchiato
A well prepared Latte Macchiato consists of various layers. Start with filling the milk into a high glass and then add alternately espresso, hot milk and milk froth. Allow the milk froth layer to settle before you add the espresso. Thus the layers will not intermingle. Mind that the espresso must be hot. If you wish to give flavour to it using for example syrup or liqueur, add these ingredients only to the hot milk and not to the espresso, as it would make the espresso sink too fast.
Mochaccino
Put 1 to 2 tsp. of chocolate syrup in a glass and add a bit of slightly cooled down milk froth.
Fill it up carefully with espresso. To finish, put a crown of milk froth or whipped cream on top and decorate with shaved chocolate or chocolate powder.
iced coffee
Pour cold, strong coffee into a high glass. Now add 1 to 2 balls of vanilla icecream and fill the glass up with cold milk froth. If you wish, you can decorate it with shaved chocolate.
But not only coffee specialties can be prepared with milk froth. Did you know, for example, that you can use milk froth instead of cream for delicious desserts? This will give you wonderful, easily digestible and creamy creations.
Try to use hot milk froth on fresh strawberries or your cereals, for example.
And also try a crown of milk froth on cream soup or serve the cream soup as mushroom or potato cappuccino.
You will find a lot more recipes in cookery books and on the Internet.
