RECIPES
With milk froth you can prepare hot and cold coffee specialties.
Capuccino - the classic Italian
It consists of 1/3 espresso, 1/3 hot milk and 1/3 milk froth. If you wish you may decorate it with chocolate powder.
Caffe Latte
This coffee is known in France as Café au lait, a milk coffee. It is also made of espresso. Add the desired quantity of heated milk and, if you wish, crown it with a bit of froth milk.
Latte Macchiato
A well prepared Latte Macchiato consists of various layers. Start with filling the milk into a high glass and then add alternately espresso, hot milk and milk froth. Allow the milk froth layer to settle before you add the espresso. Thus the layers will not intermingle. Mind that the espresso must be hot. If you wish to give flavour to it using for example syrup or liqueur, add these ingredients only to the hot milk and not to the espresso, as it would make the espresso sink too fast.
Mochaccino
Put 1 to 2 tsp. of chocolate syrup in a glass and add a bit of slightly cooled down milk froth.
Fill it up carefully with espresso. To finish, put a crown of milk froth or whipped cream on top and decorate with shaved chocolate or chocolate powder.
iced coffee
Pour cold, strong coffee into a high glass. Now add 1 to 2 balls of vanilla icecream and fill the glass up with cold milk froth. If you wish, you can decorate it with shaved chocolate.
But not only coffee specialties can be prepared with milk froth. Did you know, for example, that you can use milk froth instead of cream for delicious desserts? This will give you wonderful, easily digestible and creamy creations.
Try to use hot milk froth on fresh strawberries or your cereals, for example.
And also try a crown of milk froth on cream soup or serve the cream soup as mushroom or potato cappuccino.
You will find a lot more recipes in cookery books and on the Internet.
