SAFETY INFORMATION

Please read the following instructions and keep them on hand for later reference.

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the applicance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  2. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

  3. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only swith on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

  4. Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  5. Keep the appliance out of reach of children.

  6. Connect the appliance only to an AC power supply with the voltage indicated on the rating plate.

  7. Do not operate this appliance with an external timer or remote control system.
  8. Never immerse the appliance or the lead cable in water or other liquids.
  9. Do not clean the slicer in a dishwasher.
  10. Never touch the appliance or lead cable with wet hands.
  11. This appliance is intended for domestic and similar use such as:
  12. staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

agricultural enterprises;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other accommodation facilities;
bed and breakfast accommodations and holiday homes.

  1. Do not place the appliance or lead cable near open flames during operation.
  2. Always use the slicer on a level and uncluttered surface.
  3. Make sure that the lead cable does not hang over the edge of the worktop or table, since this can cause accidents, for example if small children pull on the cable.
  4. Route the lead cable so that it is prevented from being pulled or tripped over.
  5. Never wrap the lead cable around the appliance, but around the cable storage.
  6. Always disconnect the lead cable from the wall socket pulling on the plug, never on the cable.
  7. Never carry the slicer by the lead cable.
  8. Use the slicer only indoors.
  9. Children are not aware of the risks resulting from electrical appliances and cutting tools. Therefore the slicer must not be used by children.
  10. In order to avoid injuries, the rest holder has to be placed on the carriage, as soon as the food is

small enough to place the rest holder.

  1. Always use the rest holder for slicing of small pieces of food.
  2. The appliance must not be used for any other than the provided purpose. Only use it for cutting food, that does not contain bones or any other hard parts.
  3. After use of the slicer and before cleaning it, pull the plug out of the socket and adjust the cutting width to 0.
  4. Please avoid any contact between the power cord and the knife or any other sharp edges.
  5. The knife is very sharp, be very cautious when cleaning it!
  6. Inexpert handling and repairs may entail serious risks to the user. Repairs should only be performed by our after sales service.
  7. The slicer is provided for domestic use and is not suitable for commercial use. Only use it for slicing household quantities.
  8. Do not use the appliance with accessories of other manufacturers or brands, to prevent damage.
  9. Disconnect the appliance from the wall socket after use and prior to cleaning. Never leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to the wall socket.
  10. Never open the casing of the slicer. There is danger of electric shock.
  11. Check the appliance, the wall socket and the lead cable regularly for wear or damage. In case the lead cable or other parts appear damaged, please send the appliance or the base to our after sales service for inspection and repair (for address, see warranty terms). Unauthorised repairs can constitute serious risks for the user and void the warranty.

Caution! The knife is very sharp, risk of injuries!

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE

  1. Remove all packaging materials and check, if all parts are complete, in particular the tool to remove the knife.
  2. Before using the appliance for the first time, wipe it with a damp cloth (see chapter Cleaning)
  3. Place the slicer on a flat, clean, solid, and dry surface.
  4. Place the tool into the recess on the right side of the motor block under the carriage guide.
  5. Insert the carriage into the guide.
  6. Then push it down on the left side until it clicks in.
  7. Place the rest holder on the carriage.
  8. Place the dish from the left side under the carriage.
  9. Put the plug into a power socket as per rating label.

  1. Adjust the desired cutting thickness from 0-15 mm by turning the wheel.
  2. Choose the desired speed from 1 to 3.

OPERATION

  1. Place the food to be sliced on the carriage and press it slightly against the rebate plate. The food must not contain any bones or other hard components.
  2. The appliance offers an instant operation and a permanent operation.
  3. Instant operation Just press the backside of the switch downwards. The motor starts running and stops immediately as soon as you release the switch.
  4. Permanent operation Press the switch downwards and slide it backwards until it clicks into place. The motor starts runing and keeps on running until the switch is released.
  5. Push the carriage with the foodstuff slowly against the rotating knife.

  6. As soon as there is only a small part of food left, you have to use the rest holder to avoid injuries. The appliance must not be used without carriage and rest holder.

  7. Release the rocker switch to stop the machine and wait until the knife has stopped rotating.
  8. When you have finished, adjust the thickness to 0^ and arrest the carriage. Push the carriage to the back until the carriage front reaches the marking on the carriage guide. Then push the lock at the right side of the carriage guide to the back. Now the carriage cannot be moved any more.
  9. Please clean the appliance and in particular the knife immediately after cutting fat food (e.g. sausage, cheese etc.)

CLEANING AND CARE

  1. Unplug the machine before cleaning it.
  2. Do not immerse the machine in water or any other liquid nor clean it under running water.

Caution: The knife is very sharp.

  1. The knife is made of stainless steel. Just wipe it with a damp cloth. Please be very careful when cleaning the knife.
  2. Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use any scouring agents.
  3. From time to time you should also clean the space behind the knife. First remove the carriage by tilting it up and removing it from the guide.
  4. Put the removal tool into the holes in the middle of the knife and turn it into direction OPEN.
  5. Take out the knife very carefully and clean it by hand in warm water with a drop of a washing-up liquid.
  6. Do not leave the knife in the water in order to reduce the risk of inju

ries. Reinstall it directly after cleaning.

  1. We recommend to grease the toothed wheel at the backside of the knife from time to time with some Vaseline.
  2. Clean the housing behind the knife with a dry cloth or a soft brush.
  3. Install the knife in reverse order. The interior must be dry before inserting the knife. Turn the screw into direction CLOSE and remove the tool.
  4. Place the tool back into the holder.
  5. Place the carriage on the carriage guide.
  6. If the tool has been lost, you can loosen the knife with a coin as well, which you insert into the recess in the middle of the knife.

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS

We grant a 24 months guarantee, and in case of commercial use a 12 months guarantee, starting from the date of purchase for any damage demonstrably due to manufacturing defects and when the appliance has been used according to its intended use. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or replacement, at our option.

Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged and postage paid, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. If the defect is covered by the warranty, the customer will be reimbursed for the shipping costs only in Germany and Austria. The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.

WASTE DISPOSAL / ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Our appliances are produced on a high quality level for a long lifetime. Regular maintenance and expert repairs by our after-sales service can extend the useful life of the appliance. If an appliance is defective and repair is not possible we ask you to follow the following instructions for disposal.

Do not dispose this appliance together with your standard household waste. Please bring this product to an approved collection point for recycling of electric and electronic products.

By separate collection and disposal of waste products you help to protect natural resources and ensure, that the product is disposed in an adequate way to protect health and environment.
