USER MANUAL PW 2624 FA CLATRONIC

• Before commissioning this device please read the instruction manual carefully.

• Please keep these instructions, the guaranty certificate, the sales receipt and, if possible, the carton with the inner packaging!

• The device is intended exclusively for private and not for commercial use!

• Always remove the plug from the socket whenever the device is not in use, when attaching accessory parts, cleaning the device or whenever a disturbance occurs. Switch off the device beforehand. Pull on the plug, not on the cable.

• In order to protect children from the dangers of electrical appliances, never leave them unsupervised with the device. Consequently, when selecting the location for your device, do so in such a way that children do not have access to the devi- ce. Take care to ensure that the cable does not hang down.

• Test the device and the cable regularly for damage. If there is damage of any kind, the device should not be used.

• Do not repair the device yourself, but rather consult an authorised expert.

• For safety reasons a broken or damaged mains lead may only be replaced by an equivalent lead from the manufacturer, our customer service department or a similary qualified person.

• Keep the device and the cable away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture, sharp edges and suchlike.

• Never use the device unsupervised! Switch off the device whenever you are not using it, even if this is only for a moment.

• Use only original accessories.

• Do not use the device outdoors*).

• Under no circumstances must the device be placed in water or other liquid, or come into contact with such*). Do not use the device with wet or moist hands*).

• Should the device become moist or wet, remove the mains plug from the socket immediately*). Do not reach into the water.

6. Unit of measurement selection key

• The device is fit for adults and children above 5 years of age! It is not fit for peo- ple with pacemakers!

• The device functions correctly if your feet are bare and dry and if you are in standing position.

• The device can bear a maximum body weight of 140kg! A larger weight can damage the device!

• The device can display incorrect results in measuring the body fat in the case of pregnant women, adults over 70 years of age, dialysis patients or professional athletes! Insert batteries

• Open the battery compartment on the back of the device.

• Insert two AA type 1.5V batteries in the battery holder as illustrated on the bat- tery compartment cover.

• Close the battery compartment again. ATTENTION: The batteries have a life of approx. 1 year if used regularly and are to be changed when this period elapses. Information for body fat measurement There are heavy people with a well-balanced relation between fat and muscular mass and there are apparently slender people with substantially higher body fat values. Fat is a factor that contributes to burdening the body and, in particular, the circulatory system. Te checks of both values (fat and weight) are hence a basic pre- requisite for health and fitness. The share of body fat in people varies greatly. Therefore, thanks to the PW 2624 FA, it is possible to set your own personal body data. The reference values for your fitness profile are provided in the table below. It shows that there is a relation bet- ween the body fat values and your age and sex. Always bear in mind that, as in the case of the water balance in your body, also the share of fat is subject to great variations. Therefore, weigh yourself always at the same hour of the day to obtain a comparable value. The device makes a weak and imperceptible electrical signal run through your body to determine the actual values of your body. The signal is absolutely harmless! Body fat is an important part of the body. Fat plays an important role in your body ran- ging from the protection of joints with its reserve of vitamins to the regulation of the body temperature.The goal is not to reduce drastically the quantity of fat in your body, but to reach and maintain a balanced relation between the muscular mass and the fat mass.

On average for adult men the best time for the measurement is between 6 and 8 o'clock p.m. because the level of body fat is very constant during this period! Your personal values are now saved in the selected memory slot. A total of 4 memory slots are available. Therefore, you can save the personal values of the other members of your family with the three other memory slots. Weight and Fat Level Determination First save your personal data in a memory slot. Press the on switch (2) to switch on the device. „1234" appears shortly after on the display (5). Select the memory slot with your personal values. After a few seconds „0.0" appears on the display (5). Stand barefoot on the contact surfaces (4) of the device. First your weight is shown on the display (5). Then the device determines your actual fat. The obtained value appears in percentage on the display (5). The device switches automatically off after a few seconds. NOTE: If „FFFF" appears on the display, your body weight exceeds 140kg! Cleaning

• Clean the device with a slightly moist cloth. Make sure that no humidity or waters seeps into the device!

• Do not use abrasive detergents! These can damage the casing of the device!

• Use a commercially sold detergent or soap for cleaning.

• Dry the device well after cleaning with a dry and soft cloth. This appliance conforms with the CE directives for radio interference suppression and low-voltage safety and has been built to meet current safety requirements. Subject to technical changes without prior notice! Warranty We undertake to guarantee the appliance sold by our company for 24 months as of the date of purchase (cash receipt). Within the guarantee period we rectify faults to the machine free of charge which result from material or manufacturing faults, either by repairing the machine or, or

Any such repair or replacement associated with the guarantee shall not cause the guarantee period to be extended, nor be deemed to be the start of a new guarantee period! Proof for the warranty is provided by the purchase document. The replacement and repair will not be performed free of charge without this proof of purchase. Should the warranty be valid, please consign the complete appliance in its original packing together with the cash receipt to your local dealer. Defects to the accessories do not entitle to the change of the appliance. These will be replaced free of charge. In this case do not send back the appliance. Just order the faulty accessory! Broken glass parts are replaced at the expense of the owner! Neither defects to consumables and wearing parts (e.g. motor pistons, kneading hooks, drive belts, spare remote controls, spare toothbrushes, saw blades, etc.) nor the cleaning, maintenance or change of wearing parts fall under this warranty and hence are subject to payment of costs! The warranty is terminated in case of handling on the part of Third parties. After the warranty Once the warranty has expired, repairs can be carried out by specialized technici- ans or repair services against the payment of the service.
