Tips for Use

It is recommended that the extractor hood be turned on before the cook process begins.
- It is recommended that the extractor hood be left on for up to 15 minutes after the cook process has ended, in order to fully remove vapours and odours.
- Flawless functioning of the extractor hood is dependent on regular maintenance and care, especially the active charcoal filter.
- The fat filter catches fat particle in the air, which clog up the filter sooner or later, depending on how frequently the extractor hood is used.
- In order to minimize the danger of ignition, the filters must be cleaned at least every two months as follows.

CLEANING AND CARE

  • Warning! Do not under any circumstances use solvents or abrasive cleaners, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects for cleaning. Solvents are damaging to health and damage the plastic parts; abrasive cleaners and accessories scratch the surface.
Do not use a steam cleaner to clean!

10 Turn off the device. Clean the outer casing with a damp cloth. Take care to ensure that no moisture gets into the device (e.g. at the air vent).

Note: In the case of heavy soiling (oil, fat), you can also use a degreasing cleaner for cleaning.

Cleaning and Changing the Filter

Take the filter out and put it into hot water (40-50 degree) for three minutes with a fat-dissolving washing-up liquid. Brush it off carefully with a soft brush. Apply as little pressure as possible, so as not to damage it. Rinse carefully with warm water and allow to dry.

Note: Do not use any abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the extractor hood.

  • The aluminium filters may change colour over the course of several cleaning processes. This is not a reason for complaint. They must be changed every four months.
  • The effectiveness of the active charcoal filter depends on how frequently hood is used, the type of foods prepared and how regularly the fat filter is cleaned.

WARNING! Before replacing the bulb, ensure that the product is turned off, in order to avoid a possible electrical shock.
