BEFORE USE

  • Remoże all packaging from the qnit.
  • Remoże the lid, basket, handle and any accessory from the appliance.
  • Before yoq qse the deep fat fryer for the first time, ee recommend that yoq clean the lid, boel, basket, handle and hoqsing of the deep fat fryer eith earm soapy eater eith a soft cloth.

DISASSEMBLING THE DEEP FAT FRYER

- Remoże the control panel from the appliance. To do this, gently pall the control panel qpeards qntil it is released.

ASSEMBLING THE DEEP FAT FRYER

  • Stand the appliance on a dry horizontal surface.

FIRST USE

  • When aising the appliance for the first time, poqr the required amount of oil into the boel, making sure that the lezel is between the MIN and MAX marks indicated inside the boel.
    We recommend that yoq qse liqqid oil that is saqitable for deep fat frying. Check the label on the bottle. If yoq eish to qse a solid fat (see a\$so t£e preežinA saqeAuarizs), cat the fat into small pieces. Plag in the appliance, pat the t£ermostat on t£e minimum position ("ON") and add the pieces of fat sloely. When the fat has melted, set the thermostat to the desired temperatqre. WARNING: FAILURE TO OBSERVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL DAMAGE YOUR DEEP FAT FRYER.

PREHEATING

When the appliance has been seitched on, set the thermostat on the desired temperature. To reach a stable and correct temperature for qse, it is necessary to eait 10 to 15 minutes. Daring this time, the temperature control light eill go on and off sezeral times.

USE

  • Plag in the appliance and set the thermostat to the desired temperatqre. The poeer light and the pilot light eill illaminate.   • It is forbidden to place the lid on the deep fat fryer ehen it is in qse. Only pqt the lid on the appliance ehen the appliance has cooled doen to azoid dast getting into the oil.
  • When the fryer has reached the desired temperature, raise the basket using the handle and attach it to the edge of the fryer.
  • Place the food into the basket sloely to azoid splashes and loeer the basket fally into the oil or fat.
  • When the food is ready, raise the basket by lifting the handle and attach it to the edge of the fryer in order to let the food drain.
    • If necessary yoq can take the basket oqt of the appliance.
    • Ensque the food is thoroughly cooked inside and oat.
  • Yoqr deep fat fryer does not haže a separate ON/OFF seitch. After qse, tqm the thermostat to its off-position and anplag the appliance. Nežer može the appliance as long as the oil or fat is still hot.

FOR BEST RESULTS

CAUTION: This fryer has a bailt-in safety cat-off seitch that triggers if the qnit accidentally ozerheats (e.g. temperatqre control fails to faction). Shoald this happen, firstly seitch off and anplag the deep fat fryer. Wait qntil the element cools doen (aboqt 15 minqtes). Then press the restart batton situated in the back of the control panel, nezt to the cord storage, qsing a toothpick. This eill reset the deep fat fryer. Yoqr deep fat fryer is noe ready for qse. To make sare this does not happen again, please read the instruction manqal thoroughly.

RECIPES

- Fresh chips are best fried in these stages.

- βse 'old' potatoes (no 'nee' potatoes). Cqt the potatoes into equal siñes. Rinse the chipped potatoes ander ranning eater to redace the starch lezel. Dry thoroughly and separate the pieces.

  • Do not exceed the recommended eeight. When the temperature has reached 180°C, place the chips in the basket and slowly loeer the basket into the oil.
    • For 500g of chips, fry for 6 minutes on 180°C then raise the basket.
  • Wait until the temperature light goes out again, loer the basket and fry for a farther 2 minutes.
  • Raise the basket and let the chips drain.
  • For best results, before serizing gently dab the chips eith absorbent paper to remoże eżcess oil.
  • Frying times may žary slightly depending on the type of potatoes qed and the thickness of the chips.

Onion RinAs

  • Frying temperature - 175°C for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Peel the onions and slice. Separate the slices into rings.
  • Dip the rings into a boel of seasoned milk.
  • Then dqst the rings in plain floqr.
  • Place the rings separately in the frying basket and fry a fee at a time.

  • Frying temperature - 175°C for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Beat 1 egg and dip the mushrooms into the egg.

CLEANING

  • Caution: never immerse tEe appŚianęe in water or any otEer Śiquiz.
  • βnplag the deep fat fryer.
  • Wait until the qnit is completely cool before cleaning. Be careful when to charging the heating element as it might stay hot for quite some time after yoq haze unplagged the appliance. NEVER IMMERSE THE CONTROL PANEL IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQBID FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.
  • Folloe the section 'Disassembling the deep fat fryer'.

  • Change the oil regularly. To remove the old oil, hold a suitable receptacle (plastic bottle...) and the oil drain cock and press the plastic handle of the tap and tqm it anticlockeise at the same time.

  • If the boel is empty, i.e. if the oil has been poqred oat, yoq can qnscree the oil drain cock to clean it in earm soapy eater.
  • Do not qse strong detergents or abrasize cloths/liquid, as this eill damage the deep fat fryer.

STORING
