When the battery voltage reaches the next stage, one more bar will be added. No battery level icon will be displayed in the corresponding channel when the charger is in one of the following conditions: o no battery is placed in the channel o short circuit o battery voltage < 1.0 V o battery is reversed or poorly connectedVLEVP4

Due to different battery types, deviation between the value on the indicator and the battery’s actual capacity exist. In addition, when the battery is charging, the LCD displays the battery’s charging voltage (including the voltage generated by the battery’s internal resistance). When the battery is fully charged or not connected, the LCD displays the no-load voltage of the battery. When batteries are fully charged, the charger will stop charging and the voltage of the battery will cut off at 4.2 V. The corresponding charging status indicators are green on, and all five battery indicator bars will stop blinking. Remove the batteries and disconnect the charger from the mains.
1. Plug the DC cord of the wall adapter into the VLEVP4 charger, and plug
the other end of the wall adapter into the mains. The charger performs a self-check, the LCD displays all contents, the charge current indicators turn blue, and the charging status indicators are all red on for 2 seconds. Then the charging status indicators are green on, and the default 0.5 A charge current displays. At this time, the charger enters into stand-by mode.
2. Insert the rechargeable 3.6 / 3.7 V Li-ion batteries into the charging
channels. Ensure the positive and negative ends correspond with the positive (+) and negative (-) symbols on the charger.
3. As long as there is a battery in channel 2 or channel 3, or 2 batteries
in these 2 channels, no matter how many batteries in channel 1 and channel 4, the charging current will be 0.5 A default. o You can press the current button to change the charging process to
0.25 A or switch it back to 0.5 A again.
o The charging current would be the max. 1.0 A automatically only when channel 2 and channel 3 are empty. o Press the current button to change the current from 1.0 A to 0.25 A or 0.5 A, or back to 1.0 A.VLEVP4
(Note: only 0.5 A or 0.25 A can be selected)
Slot without battery
The VLEVP4 features 4 charging channels. Each channel is independent and there is no influence to any channel while charging and monitoring batteries. Tips While in charging mode, hold the current button pressed to switch off the LCD screen. Choose the most suitable charge current for your batteries: o 0.25 A: 10440 - 18700 Li-ion batteries o 0.5 A: 18650 - 26650 Li-ion batteries with capacity ≥ 2500 mAh o 1.0 A: Li-ion batteries with capacity ≥ 2000 mAh (1.0 A is the large charging current for fast charging mode) Remarks The VLEVP4 has an integrated short-circuit protection to protect the charger if a short-circuit occurs in a battery. Note that this short-circuit protection protects the charger and does not prevent batteries from short-circuiting internally. The VLEVP4 is only for use with 3.6 V / 3.7 V rechargeable Li-ion batteries. Charging other battery types may be hazardous, and can damage the batteries and charger. The VLEVP4 features battery charging current configure settings. Please note, that while there is no battery in CH2 and CH3, only CH1 and CH4 can get 1.0 A charging current. As long as there is any battery in CH2 or CH3, the charging current will be 0.5 A for the 4 channels. The current button can only adjust the charging current to a lower one.VLEVP4

To lengthen the over-discharged battery lifespan, the 0.25 A charging current is strongly recommended. Because of different battery types, capacities and over-discharge conditions, the battery revive time may vary. Heavily over-discharge batteries may not be able to waken up. Keep the VLEVP4 away from water and excessive dust. Do not disassemble the VLEVP4 as damage may result. Do not use a damaged VLEVP4.
