Connect your Passport Media Player to your TV or A/V Receiver using one of the methods listed below. For the best video and audio quality, HDMI is recommended. Option 1: HDMI Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the Passport Player and the other end of the HDMI cable to your TV or A/V Receiver. Option 2: Composite Connect the yellow, red and white composite cables to the Passport Player and the other ends of the composite cables to your TV or A/V Receiver. Option 3: S-Video Connect an S-Video cable (not included) to the Passport Player and the other end of the S-Video cable to your TV or A/V Receiver. Connect the red and white audio composite cables (included) to the Passport Player and the other ends of the composite cables to your TV or A/V Receiver. (NOTE: The yellow composite cable does not need to be connected.) Inserting a USB Drive Insert the included USB drive into the top USB port. Make sure the power switch is in the “OFF” position (down). Connecting to a Power Source

1. Connect the power adapter to the power port on the back of the

Passport Media Player. Then plug the other end of the power adapter into a power outlet.

2. Move the power switch to the “ON” position (up) to start the

Virtual Active Quick Start Passport Congratulations! Your Passport Media Player is ready to use. Press the arrow keys on your Passport remote to navigate to the User Guide icon at the bottom of the Homescreen (as shown). Press select on your Passport remote to learn more about Passport Media Player and its features. Note: If your Homescreen does not have the User Guide icon (pictured), an update is availablble for your Passport Player. For additional information visit passportplayer.com. Using Passport Media Player > Virtual Active Quick Start – Press select on your Passport remote to start playing a Virtual Active destination. By default, User 1 (or the edited User 1 name) is used for this Quick Start function. > User – Press select to create, edit or choose a Passport user. When creating or editing a user, make sure to press select on your Passport remote (on the save icon) to store the information. > Virtual Active – Press select to preview the available Virtual Active destinations on your USB. Each Virtual Active destination contains a brief description about the course location. Press select on the Virtual Active destination to choose that course. NOTE: If your machine is not synced with your Passport Player, a message will appear on your TV or A/V receiver asking if you want to ‘Continue without syncing?’. If you select ‘Yes’, the Virtual Active destination you choose will begin. Your TV or A/V receiver will not display any of your workout information and your machine will not automatically change incline or resistance during your workout. If you select ‘No’, you will be taken to the ‘Setup-Sync’ section. Here, you will need to choose your machine type, syncing instructions will be displayed, and you will sync your equipment with your Passport Player. See your equipment’s owner’s manual for detailed syncing directions. Passport Media Player Homescreen > Media – Press select to preview media stored in the ‘Library’ folder on your USB. Press select to begin your workout or view your media content on your TV or A/V receiver. If your machine is not synced with your Passport Player, a message will appear on your TV or A/V receiver asking if you want to ‘Continue without syncing?’. NOTE: Place your media files in the ‘Library’ folder on your USB to use this feature. Passport can play many popular file formats. > Setup – Press select to view syncing instructions, restore factory defaults and view system information. Note: When factory defaults are restored, all setting (even your chosen default language) will be reset.

Using Virtual Active and Media Content Show/Hide Status Bar Press to move the status bar to the top, bottom, or to hide your status bar. If your status bar is hidden, press the up or down button to display status bar again. Audio Press Mute to turn off Virtual Active course music. Press Mute again to turn off Virtual Active course sounds (no course music and no course sound). Press Mute again to listen to both course music and course sounds from Virtual Active. The Mute function for all other media types is on or off. Note: Many users prefer to listen to their own music while using Virtual Active. Pressing the mute button one time will turn off the course music while still having the course sounds (environmental noises) audible. Show/Hide Scrolling Text Press Select to turn on and off the informational scrolling text on Virtual Active courses. The icon in the status bar indicates if this scrolling text is on or off.Note: Scrolling text is only available on Virtual Active courses. Show/Hide Media Controller Press Media to turn on and off the media controls.
