How to mount the blade block?

Place the mixing bowl upside down. Position the blade block on the gasket at the base of the bowl, with the drive wheel facing outward. Screw in the mounting screw by turning counterclockwise (left-hand thread). Tighten gently as soon as the screw touches the blade block.

What is the maximum capacity of the bowl?

The bowl can hold up to 1.8 liters maximum. Respect the minimum quantity of 0.25 liters to prevent the blades from running dry.

Can I blend hot liquids?

No. Do not use liquids with a temperature above 60 °C. The glass bowl could crack due to heat.

How to clean the blender after use?

Unplug the appliance. Pour warm water into the bowl up to halfway and use the Turbo function for about 10 seconds. Clean the parts with a rinsing solution and rinse with clear water. Never immerse the appliance in water.

What to do if the appliance does not work?

Check the power supply (outlet, fuse). Ensure all components are properly assembled, and the arrows on the bowl and base are aligned. If the problem persists, contact a professional.

What are the important safety precautions?

Do not touch moving blades. Always unplug before assembly or cleaning. Do not let children use the appliance. Do not use the appliance for more than 2 minutes without a break of at least 1 minute. After 10 cycles, let it cool to room temperature.

Can I crush ice cubes?

Yes. Use the ICE CRUSH program to crush up to 350 g of ice cubes. Hold the lid with one hand during this operation.

How to use the Turbo function?

Press the TURBO button to activate maximum speed immediately. Press again to deactivate. The Turbo function is ideal for quick blends like breadcrumbs (4 x 5 seconds).

What is the recommended continuous use time?

The appliance is designed for short use: 2 minutes operation followed by at least 1 minute break. After 10 cycles, let it cool to room temperature before reusing.

Can I blend nuts or chocolate?

No. Never put hard ingredients like nuts or chocolate pieces in the bowl. They can damage the appliance.

Unpacking the appliance

1. Remove the device from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging materials like foils, filling materials, cable holders, and carton packaging.
3. Check the scope of deliveries for completeness.

Assembly

Assemble the blade block (see Fig A and B)

1. Turn the mixing jug on its head.
2. Place the blade block onto the seal on the base of the jug. The drive wheel points outwards.
3. Put the screw mount onto the thread on the base of the mixing jug.
4. Left-handed thread! Turn the screw mount anti-clockwise.
5. As soon as the screw mount is in contact with the blade block, turn it again gently.

Attach the mixing jug (see Fig. C)

In order that you can attach the mixing jug more easily, arrows have been put onto the housing. The arrow on the mixing jug can be found directly below the handle. Three arrows can be found on the base unit with the motor. There are therefore three options for attaching the jug.

1. Position the mixing jug arrow around 3 centimetres to the right of the arrow on the base unit.
2. Turn the mixing jug clockwise until the arrows are aligned.
3. The mixing jug is now connected to the base unit.
4. Check it by trying to lift the mixing jug.

Put the lid on (see Fig. D and E)

1. Put on the black lid so that its tab closes the spout on the mixing jug.
2. Put the fill opening cap into the black lid.
3. Give the cap a quarter turn clockwise to lock it.

Electric Connection

• Before inserting the power plug into the outlet, check that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device. You can find the required information on the nameplate.
• Connect the device only to a correctly installed safety socket.

Display and Selector

Display

Your mixer has a display in which you can read off the operating time in seconds. You can best read the display by looking straight at it.

Selector

• Press the "POWER" button to switch on the appliance. Indicator lamp 1 and the control panel light up blue. The "POWER" button flashes.
• Use the "TURBO" button to switch the mixer immediately to the maximum speed. The operating time is shown on the display.
• Press the "TURBO" button again to turn off the function.
• Use the "SELECT" button to select one of the following functions:

• Press the "START/STOP" button after selecting a function. The motor starts. The remaining operating time is shown on the display.

Operation

CAUTION:

Always switch off the device before removing the mixing vessel from the base.
Always wait until the mixing knife has stopped turning.
- The glass can crack in case of high temperatures! Do not fill in liquids with a temperature over 60^ .
- Do not overfill the mixing vessel! You can fill in a maximum of 1.8 litres. Observe the gradation on the vessel.
- Do not fall short of the quantity of 0.25 litres! The mixing knives could run dry and damage the seal.
- Never put hard ingredients into the mixing jug! Ingredients such as nuts or blocks of chocolate damage the appliance.

i NOTE:

• The mixer functions only when the symbols and are exactly one above the other!
  The device is intended for short-time operation. Wait for 1 minutes after operation for 2 minute.
• Froth requires a large capacity. Reduce quantities of liquids which produce a lot of froth.

• Keep one hand on the lid if you are crushing ice or if there is a large quantity of ingredients.

• Prepare the ingredients. Refer to the table on page 45.

• Set the mixing vessel onto the base device, if that has not yet been done.
• Fill the jug with the ingredients you want to mix.
• Set the lid with the cap onto the vessel.

i NOTE:

Do you want to add sugar or spices to your mixed drink?

• First switch off the device.
• Remove the cap and fill in through the opening.
• Reinsert the cap into the lid.

WARNING:

• Do not operate the mixing vessel empty or without the lid.

• Do not reach into the mixing vessel! The blades are sharp and rotate at high speed. Serious injuries could result.

• Plug the mains plug into a properly installed earthed socket.

• Use the "POWER" button to switch on the appliance.
• Press the "TURBO" button or select a function using the "SELECT" button.
• Press the "START/STOP" button after selecting a function. The motor starts. The remaining operating time is shown on the display.

End operation

1. First press the "START/STOP" button and then the "POWER" button.
2. Wait until the mixer blade has come to a complete stop.
3. First, turn the mixing vessel counterclockwise to unlock it.
4. Lift the mixing jug off the base of the appliance to pour out your drink.
5. Disconnect the mains plug from the outlet.

Recipe Suggestion

Ingredients

500 ml cold milk, Fat content: 1.5%

2 Bananas

1 Apple, peeled and cored

4 Tablespoons frozen berries

Juice of one lemon

Preparation

1. Peel the bananas, cut into pieces and add to the mixing jug.
2. Peel and core the apple, cut into quarters and add to the jug.
3. Add the berries and pour in the juice of one lemon.
4. Start the mixer at function "1" and pour the milk slowly through the fill opening.
5. The process ends automatically after 120 seconds.
6. Serve immediately! The frozen berries produce a refreshing milkshake.

Cleaning

WARNING:

• Before cleaning always disconnect from mains power supply.
• Under no circumstances should you immerse the device in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.
• The mixer blades are sharp! Risk of injury!

CAUTION:

• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

Tip

Directly after you have mixed your drink:

Fill the mixing vessel with lukewarm water to half capacity. Use the "TURBO" button to switch on the mixer for around 10 seconds. This will preclean the jug.

For cleaning the outside of the machine use only a damp washing-up cloth.

Storage

Clean the device as described. Let the accessories dry completely.

We recommend that you store the device in its original packaging when it is not to be used for a longer period.

Always store the device at a well ventilated and dry place outside the reach of children.
