USER MANUAL PCSM 1005 PROFICOOK
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not t for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appli- ance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Do not operate the machine without supervi- sion. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.
- The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If dam- age is found the device must not be used.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have faulty cable be replaced only by the manufac- turer, by our customer service or by qualied person and with a cable of the same type.
- Use only original spare parts.
- Pay careful attention to the following “Special Safety Instructions”. Symbols in these Instructions for Use Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to comply with these instruc- tions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage to the machine:

- In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, poly- styrene etc.) out of their reach. WARNING! Don’t let small children play with foils for danger of suffocation!
- This device is not intended to be used by indi- viduals (including children) who have restricted physical, sensory or mental abilities and/or insufcient knowledge and/or experience, un- less they are supervised by an individual who is responsible for their safety or have received instructions on how to use the device.

- The blade of the bar mixer is very sharp! It should therefore be handled with extreme caution! DANGER OF INJURY!
- Switch off the appliance and disconnect from mains power before working on the knives.
- Make sure that the motor casing is not wet. Switching on a wet motor can result in electric shock or short circuit. CAUTION:
- Do not chop very hard ingredients with this appliance, such as ice cubes, nutmeg or larger pieces of cooking chocolate. The blade can be damaged!
- Ensure that the mains power cable does not touch hot surfaces (e.g. hot pots).
- This appliance is not to be used by children. Keep the appliance and the connecting cable away from children. Intended Use This appliance is intended to puree and/or mix foodstuffs and beverages. It is for instance suitable for preparing mayonnaise, dips, sauces, soups, baby food and milkshakes. The appliance is intended for amounts common in the private household. Use in hot foods is possible. It is intended for the use in private households and similar applications. It is only to be used as instructed in this user manual. The appliance is not intended for commercial use. Any other use is not intended and can result in damages or personal injuries. 1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging materials such as lms,
ller material, cable clips and carton.
3. Check the contents for completeness.

- Chop up large pieces of solid food before mashing (max. Ø 1.5 cm) and add a little liquid.
- Short-time operating: Do not operate the appliance longer than 1 minute continuously. Leave the device to cool down for at least 1 minute before using again. Assembly / Dismantling

When attaching accessories there is the risk of pinching your ngers. Please be especially care- ful. Observe additional Figure on page 3. Assemble the motor housing and the hand blender as fol- lows:29

1. Ensure that your mains power corresponds
with the specications of the appliance. The specications are printed on the type label
2. Connect the mains cable to a properly installed
and earthed 220-240 V~, 50/60 Hz wall outlet. Operation
1. Submerge the entire blender head in foodstuff
or beverage. Keep the appliance upright. In this way you avoid spatters.
2. Hold the grip with one hand in such way that
you can press one of the push buttons (I or II) at the same time. Pushbutton I (3): This switches on the mini- mum speed. Set the continuously vari- able speed with the control knob (2). Pushbutton II (4): This provides the maxi- mum speed and cannot be regulated.
3. Pulsed mode is switched on by pressing the
appropriate pushbutton at intervals and then releasing it again.
4. The device switches itself off when the button

The motor overtravels. Wait until the knife comes to a complete standstill. NOTE: Interrupt the process if the maximum speed is too slow. Reduce the quantity of the food being mixed. First break up any solid food.
5. Pull out the plug from the socket after use.
6. After cleaning hang the appliance on its eyelet
(1). Cleaning Pre-Cleaning After Use Fill a container with hot water and let the blender run in it for pre-cleaning as described under “Op- eration”.
- Always remove the plug before cleaning!
- Under no circumstances should you immerse the motor housing in water in order to clean it. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or re. CAUTION:
- Wipe the casing with a dampcloth.
If you want to clean the hand blender (mixing rod) thoroughly, detach it from the motor housing as described under “Assembly / Dismantling”. Cleaning In Sudsy Water
WARNING: Risk of injury!
The blade of the bar mixer is very sharp! Please be very careful. You can briey rinse the blender in warm sudsy water. Afterwards rinse in clean water. Dry the blender thoroughly. Cleaning In the Dishwasher The blender is dishwasher-safe. Ensure not to overdose the cleaning agents (detergent, salt and rinse aid).30 Storage
- Clean the appliance as described and allow it to dry.
- We recommend that you keep the appliance in the original packaging if it will not be used for long periods.
