USER MANUAL PCUM 1086 PROFICOOK
- Theapplianceisdesignedexclusivelyforprivate use and for the envisaged purpose. This appli- ance is not fit for commercial use.
- Donotuseitoutdoors.Keepitawayfrom sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appli- ance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- Thedeviceandthemainsleadhavetobe checked regularly for signs of damage. If dam- age is found the device must not be used.

Unpacking the appliance
1. Remove the device from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging materials like foils, filling
materials, cable holders, and carton packaging.
3. Checkthescopeofdeliveriesforcompleteness.
NOTE: There may still be dust or production remains on the device. We recommend that you clean the deviceasdescribedunder“Cleaning”. 1. Placethemixingvesselontothemotorhousing.
Follow the symbols on the housing. Position the mixingvesselsothatthehandleliesabovethe symbol.

2. Insert the cap into the refill opening of the lid.
Tighten the fastener by turning it anti-clockwise. NOTE: The refill opening cap can also be used as a measuring cup. Instructions for Use CAUTION: The glass may crack if the temperature is too high!Donotllwithliquidsabove60°C.

- Placethedeviceonarmandatsurface. Position it is such that it cannot tip over.
- Onlyswitchontheapplianceifthemixingves- sel is closed with the lid. The refill opening in the lid must also be closed.
- Donotoverllthemixingvessel!Youcanllit toamaximumof1.5liters.Usethescaleonthe jug.
- Frothrequiresalargecapacity.Reducequanti- ties of liquids which produce a lot of froth.
- Keeponehandonthelidifyouarecrushingice or if there is a large quantity of ingredients.
- Connectthedeviceonlytoacorrectlyinstalled safety socket. Short-interval use The appliance is suitable for short-interval use of amaximumof2minutes.Allowittocoolfor3minu- tes before using it again! NOTE: The housing may get hot during operation. Pulse mode Switch to pulse mode by turning the control to the “P” position and then release it. Use the appliance inthisoperatingmodeforamaximumof2minutes. Allow it to cool for 3 minutes before using it again! Crushing ice cubes Thebladesinthemixingvesselarealsosuitable for crushing ice cubes.
- Putamaximumof10pieces(sizeapprox. 25x25x25mm)intothemixingvessel.
- Usepulseoperation“P” for 1 - 3 seconds. Repeat the process 8 - 12 times. Operation Preparation

1. Turn the switch to the “0” position.
2. Wait until the blade comes to a complete stop.
3. Remove the mains plug from the socket.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Citrusjuicesandfoodcontainingacidsshould never be stored in metal vessels. Cleaning

1. Turnthemixingvesselonitshead.
2. Use moderate force to screw off the locking
ring of the blade unit by turning it towards the UNLOCKmarking.
3. Taketheknifeblockcarefullyoutofthemixing
4. Remove the seal ring for cleaning.
5. Place the dry seal ring onto the glass on the
bottomoftheturnedmixingjar.
6. Place the blade unit onto the seal ring.
7. Insert the locking ring and tighten it by turning it
towardstheLOCKmarking.
8. Ensure that the knife block sits securely in posi-
tion. CAUTION: Onlyoperatetheapplianceifyouhaveproperly ttedtheknifeblockwiththesealring!Otherwise themixingvesselwillnotbesealed. Mixing jar, lid, measuring cup, locking ring, blade unit, and seal ring Cleanthesepartsinabowlofhotwater.Thendry everything before assembling the parts again. Housing Onlyamoderatelymoistclothshouldbeusedfor cleaning the outside of the device. Storage
- Cleanthedeviceasdescribed.Lettheacces- sories dry completely.
- Youmaywindthemainscableatthebottomof the appliance.
- Werecommendthatyoustorethedeviceinits original packaging when it is not to be used for a longer period.
