- The appliance is designed exclusively for pri- vate use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not t for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appli- ance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Do not operate the machine without supervi- sion. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.
- The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If dam- age is found the device must not be used.
- Use only original spare parts.
- In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, poly- styrene etc.) out of their reach. WARNING! Do not allow small children to play with the foil. WARNING: Risk of burns!
During operation and afterwards, the temperature of the accessible surfaces will be very high.
- Use the handles to grip the cover and egg holder.
- Hot steam will escape from the steam vents and when opening the cover! Risk of scalding!
- Please be careful when handling the measuring beaker. It includes an egg pricker on the bottom. Avoid injuries from the egg pricker. CAUTION:
- Please ensure that the cable does not come into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.
- Never turn on the egg cooker on without water.
- Use only cold water when lling.
- Do not allow decalcication agents to come into contact with the hot plate.
- Use the appliance only on a level work surface.
- Do not move the device and do not touch it when it is working.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the safe use of the appliance understand the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and maintenance by the user shall not be made by chil- dren unless they are older 8 years and supervised.43
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards in- volved.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualied person and with a cable of the same type.

1. Take out all the parts carefully out of the pack-

lms, ller material, cable ties and cardboard.
3. Check the delivery scope for completeness.
4. Check the appliance for any transport damage
in order to prevent hazards. NOTE:
- If there are any visible signs of transport damage, contact your dealer immediately. Do not operate a damaged appliance!
- For protection, a silicone cover is xed over the pin on the bottom of the measur- ing cup. In order to avoid injury, we recom- mend that the silicone cover is replaced after use.
5. Clean the device before using it for the rst
time as described in “Cleaning and Storage”. Instructions for Use
- The appliance is suitable for preparing: - 1 - 8 boiled eggs; - 1 - 4 poached eggs; - Savory egg custard; - 1 - 2 small omelettes.
- An electronic timer adjusts the cooking time. Precise measuring of the amount of water is not necessary. Explanation of symbols Soft-boiled eggs Soft to medium-boiled eggs Hard-boiled eggs The settings are average values for size M eggs. The hardness of the boiled eggs depends on dif- ferent factors: size and temperature of the eggs. With some experience you will quickly nd your preferred settings. Using the poaching inserts
- Slightly grease the inserts with butter or mar- garine in order to remove the boiled egg more easily.
- Put a maximum of 2 eggs in one insert.
- Place the poaching inserts on the egg holder.
- Select the setting for hard-boiled eggs. NOTE: Always let the savory egg custard cool down before cutting it into cubes. Mains cable Fully unwind the mains cable from the bottom of the appliance. Use the cable guide. Electric Connection
1. Ensure that your mains power corresponds to
the appliance’s specications on the type label.
2. Set the control knob to the OFF position.
3. Connect the plug to a properly installed safety
plug socket. Adding water
- Use the measuring cup provided to add water.
- Fill the water tank with one cup of water for each cooking cycle. CAUTION: Do not add water above the MAX marking in the water tank! Otherwise the water could boil over. Turning on the device Turn the control knob clockwise. The indicator lamp ashes for several seconds and then an acoustic signal sounds. The indicator lamp lights up permanently indicating the heating process. NOTE: Any adjustment of the control knob will cause the timer to be reset and the program to start from the beginning.45 Turning off the appliance The appliance will turn off automatically after the cooking process has been nished. 10 acoustic signals sound. The indicator lamp turns off.
- You may terminate the cooking process at any time.
- Turn the control knob to the OFF position. Overheat protection For your safety this appliance is equipped with overheat protection. If the appliance is unintention- ally operated without water, the thermostat will cut off.
- In such a case, disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket.
- Turn the control knob to the OFF position.
- Let the appliance cool down before operating it again. AUTION: Do not pour any water onto the hot heating plate! Operation
1. Turn the control to the OFF position.
2. Place the device horizontally on a at, dry
surface. It should be slip-resistant and heat- resistant.
3. Fill the water tank with cold water.
4. Install the egg holder.
5. Pierce the eggs on their blunt side in order for
the eggs not to crack during cooking. In order to do so, use the egg pricker on the bottom of the measuring cup.

9. Turn on the appliance using the control knob.
Select the desired hardness setting.
10. The eggs are ready when 10 acoustic signals
sound. Turn the control knob to the OFF posi- tion. Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket.
WARNING: Risk of scalding!
11. Open the lid using the handle in such a way
that steam can escape to the back.
12. Lift out the egg holder by its handles. By doing
so, you can briey hold the eggs under run- ning cold water in order to prevent subsequent cooking.
13. Let the appliance cool down before using it
again or before cleaning and storing. Cleaning and Storage
- Turn the appliance off and disconnect from mains power supply.
- Clean and store the appliance only after it completely cooled down. Risk of burns!
- Never submerge the appliance in water. CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive utensils for cleaning.
- Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Pour the remaining water from the water tank. Dry the water tank with a cloth. In this way you also remove scale residue.
- Clean the surface with a damp cloth without cleaning agents, if necessary.46 Troubleshooting Malfunction Possible Causes Remedy Appliance does not function. No power supply. Check the wall socket using another appliance. The overheat protection has been activated.
1. Turn the control knob to the OFF
position. Disconnect the mains plug.
2. Let the appliance cool down
before using it again. The appliance is defective. Contact our customer service or a specialist. The eggs crack. Eggs were not pierced. Pierce the eggs with the egg pricker on the measuring cup before cook- ing. The eggs are not boiled as hard as desired. Too little or no water. Fill the measuring cup provided with cold water and pour the water into the water tank. Wrong hardness setting. Turn the control knob to a higher or lower setting. Lid not properly placed onto the ap- pliance. Check the position of the lid. The appliance turns off prematurely due to heavy limescale. Clean and descale the device regularly. If heavily limescaled, the limescale will be hard to remove.
- Clean the lid, egg holder and inserts in soapy water. Dry all parts before storing the device.
- Wind up the mains cable on the base of the appliance.
- Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a well-ventilated and dry place. Decalcification
- The decalcication intervals depend on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use.
- If the machine switches off before the water boils, it probably needs to be decalcied.
