Explanation of Symbols

Soft-boiled eggs

Soft to medium-boiled eggs

Hard-boiled eggs
Please refer to the scale next to the egg symbols for the number of eggs to be boiled.
The scale reflects average amounts for medium-sized eggs. The hardness of the boiled eggs depends on different factors: size and temperature of the eggs. With some experience you will quickly find your preferred settings.

NOTE:
If the eggs are too hard, please pour slightly less water than stated in the cooking bowl, or slightly more if the eggs are too soft.
Using the Omelette / Poaching Insert
- Determine the amount of water according to the scale labeled.
- Slightly grease the recesses with butter or margarine to be able to remove the boiled egg more easily.
- Do not fill in more than one cracked egg per recess.
- Place the omelette / poaching insert on the egg holder.

NOTE:
Always let the savoury egg custard cool down before cutting it into cubes.
Electric Connection
Ensure that your mains power corresponds to the appliance's specifications on the type label.
Operation
- Set the on / off switch to the "0" (off) position.
- Place the appliance horizontally on a flat, dry surface. It should be slip-resistant and heat-resistant.
- Fill the cooking bowl with the amount of water signalled on the measuring beaker for the number of eggs to be boiled.
- Install the egg holder.
- Pierce the eggs on their blunt side in order for the eggs not to crack during cooking. In order to do so, use the egg pricker on the bottom of the measuring cup.
- Place the eggs into the egg holder with the pricked end at the top.
- Attach the cover.
- Insert the plug in a duly installed socket.
- Tum the appliance on using the on/off switch. The control lamp now illuminates.
- The eggs are ready when the buzzer sounds. The indicator lamp turns off. Switch the appliance off and remove the mains plug from the socket.
