Keep these documents, including the warranty certicate, receipt and, if possible, the box with the inner packaging in a safe place. If you pass the appliance on to a third party, always include all the relevant documents. Symbols in this Instruction Manual Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage to the appliance:

1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.

2. Remove all packaging material, such as foils, lling

material, cable ties and cardboard packaging. - For protection, a cover is tted over the needle at the bottom of the measuring cup. To avoid injury, we recommend that you replace the cover after use.

3. Check the scope of delivery for completeness.

4. If the contents of the packaging are incomplete or if

damage can be detected, do not operate the appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.

5. There may still be dust or production residues on the

appliance. We recommend that you clean the appliance as described under “Cleaning”. • Hot steam escapes from the steam holes and when opening the cover! Open the cover with the handle so that the steam can escape to the back.

• Avoid injuries from the egg piercing needle! There is a needle on the underside of the measuring cup with which you can pierce the eggs. Therefore, be careful when using the measuring cup. Notes for Use

• The appliance is suitable for the preparation of - 1 – 8 boiled eggs; - 1 – 3 poached eggs; - 1 – 3 small omelets.

• The cooking time is determined by the amount of water poured into the hob.

• Use the measuring cup included in the scope of delivery to determine the amount of water.PC-EK1275_IM 15.09.23

• Use the scale next to the egg symbols as a guide for the number of eggs to boil.

• The indications on the scale are average values for eggs of size M. The hardness of the cooked eggs depends on various factors: Size and temperature of the eggs. The preferred cooking level of the eggs can be found out quickly by trial and error. - If the eggs are too hard, add a little less water than indicated to the cooking tray or a little more if the eggs are too soft. Using the Omelette / Poaching Insert

rine to make it easier to remove the cooked egg later.

3. Fill with a maximum of 1 beaten egg per well.

4. Place the omelette / poaching insert on the egg holder.

Electrical Connection

• Check whether the mains voltage you want to use matches that of the appliance. You will nd the informa- tion on the type plate.

• Only connect the appliance to a properly installed protec- tive contact socket. Operation

1. Make sure that the on / off switch is in position 0 (off).

2. Place the appliance horizontally on a at and dry sur-

face. This must be non-slip and heat-resistant.

3. Pour water into the cooking hob according to the

markings on the measuring cup for the quantity of eggs to be boiled.

4. Put the egg holder in place.

5. Prick the eggs on the blunt side so that they do not

crack during cooking. To do this, use the pricking needle on the underside of the measuring cup.

6. Place the eggs in the egg holder with the pierced side

• Switch off the appliance and pull the mains plug out of the socket before cleaning the appliance.

• Never immerse the appliance in water for cleaning. It could cause an electric shock or re.

• Only clean or store the appliance when it has cooled down. Risk of burns! CAUTION:

• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.

• Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.

• Take up the residual water in the hob with a dishcloth. In this way, you remove lime scale residues at the same time.

• If necessary, clean the outside of the appliance with a slightly damp cloth without additives.

• You can clean the cover, the egg holder and the ome- lette / poaching insert in warm dishwater with a little hand dishwashing liquid. Dry all parts before reassembling and storing the appliance.PC-EK1275_IM 15.09.23

• The intervals between de-scaling depend on the hard- ness of the water and the frequency of use.

• If the appliance switches off before the water boils, de-scaling is necessary.

• Do not use vinegar, but a commercially available de-scal- ing agent based on citric acid. Follow the manufacturer’s dosage instructions. Storage

• Clean the appliance as described. Allow the accessories to dry completely.

• We recommend storing the appliance in its original packaging if you do not intend to use it for a longer period of time.

• Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a well-ventilated and dry place. Troubleshooting Problem Possible Cause Remedy The appliance has no function. The appliance has no power supply. Check the power socket with another appliance. Insert the mains plug correctly. Check the house fuse. The appliance is defective. Contact our service or a specialist. The eggs burst. The eggs were not pierced. Prick the eggs with the single needle of the measuring cup before cooking. The eggs are not cooked to the desired state. Too little or no water lled in. Fill the measuring cup provided with cold water and pour it into the water tank. Ob- serve the markings on the measuring cup. The cover is not properly tted on the appliance. Check the t of the cover. The appliance switches off prematurely due to heavy lime scale build-up. Clean and de-scale the appliance regu- larly. The lime scale layer is very difcult to remove if it is too thick.
