How to turn the ProfiCook PC-KW 1061 scale on and off?

Press the ON/OFF button to turn the scale on. To turn it off, press and hold the same button for a few seconds or wait for the auto-off after 2 minutes of inactivity.

How to use the tare function?

Place an empty container on the scale, then press the TARE button. The display will show zero, you can then add ingredients to the container to weigh only their weight.

How to change the measurement unit?

Press the UNIT or MODE button to switch between available units: grams (g), kilograms (kg), pounds (lb) and ounces (oz). The selected unit is displayed on the screen.

What to do if the scale displays 'Err' or 'OL'?

The OL (Over Load) message indicates that the weight exceeds the maximum capacity of 5 kg. Remove the load immediately to avoid damaging the scale. If 'Err' appears, check that the surface is stable and that the scale is properly turned on.

How to clean the scale?

Use a slightly damp soft cloth to wipe the glass surface and the housing. Do not use abrasive products or solvents. Never immerse the scale in water.

What type of batteries to use and how to replace them?

The scale operates on 2 AAA batteries of 1.5 V. Open the battery compartment under the scale, insert the batteries respecting polarity (+/-), then close the cover.

The scale seems inaccurate, how to recalibrate it?

The PC-KW 1061 does not have a manual calibration function. Make sure it is on a flat and stable surface, and that the batteries are sufficiently charged. If measurements remain inaccurate, contact ProfiCook customer service.

Can I weigh liquids directly on the scale?

Yes, using a suitable container. Activate the tare function after placing the empty container, then pour the liquid to get its weight. Do not pour liquid directly onto the scale.

How to store the scale?

Store the scale in a dry place away from dust. Avoid extreme temperatures and humidity. Remove the batteries if the scale will not be used for a long time.

The scale does not turn on, what to do?

First check that the batteries are correctly installed and in good condition. Try replacing the batteries with new ones. If the problem persists, contact ProfiCook after-sales service.

Inserting the batteries

Handling of batteries

WARNING:

• Do not expose the batteries to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
• Never throw batteries into the fire. There is a danger of explosion!
• Keep batteries away from children. They are not a toy.
• Batteries can be swallowed which may be life-threatening. If a battery has been swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
• Do not force open batteries.
• Avoid contact with metal objects. (Rings, nails, screws, etc.). There is a risk of short circuit!
• A short circuit may cause batteries to become very hot or possibly even ignite. This can result in burns.
• The battery poles should be covered with adhesive tape during transport for your safety.
• If a battery should leak, do not rub the liquid into your eyes or mucous membranes. In the case of contact, wash your hands, rinse your eyes with clean water, and if the symptoms persist, seek medical advice.

CAUTION:

- Different battery types or new and used batteries must not be used together.

- Batteries are not to be disposed of together with domestic wastes. Dispose of the used batteries at the relevant collection bin or at your dealer's.

The display showing "Lo" indicates that batteries must be replaced.

• The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the scale.
  • The batteries are protected by a plastic foil.
• Remove this plastic foil.

Switching On

1. Place the scales on a flat, smooth surface.
2. Press the ON/OFF button.
   All segments are briefly illuminated in the display followed by “▲-0”←

Weighing

1. Use the UNIT button to select the desired unit of measurement: "g", "kg", "lb" or "oz".

2. Wait for the ▲ symbol to indicate that the scale is ready to measure.

3. Place the goods on the scale plate centered as far as possible.

4. When the ▲ symbol appears, the measurement has been completed.
5. You may then read off the measurement.

Tare Function

If you would like to add a further ingredient to the first ingredient and then weigh it:

• Press the TARE button briefly.
• The scales are reset to "0". Wait for the
  ▲ symbol to indicate that the scale is ready to measure.
• If you now place further ingredients on the scales their weight is displayed.

Switching Off

i NOTE:

With the automatic switch-off the scales turn off automatically after approximately 120 seconds.

If you want to turn off the scale earlier, press and hold the ON/OFF button for approx. 3 seconds.

Periods of non-usage

If you do not use the appliance for a longer period of time, remove the batteries in order to prevent "leakage" of battery acid.

Cleaning

△ CAUTION:

• Do not immerse the appliance in water: the electronic components can be damaged.
• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

- Clean the device with a slightly moist cloth. Make sure that no humidity or waters seeps into the device!

- Dry the device well after cleaning with a dry and soft cloth.

Storage

Keep the appliance in a clean, dry place.
