General Safety Instructions

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
• Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off or remove the plug from the socket.
• Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
• Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualified person and with a cable of the same type.
• Use only original spare parts.
• Pay careful attention to the following "Special Safety Instructions".

Children and Frail Individuals

• In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

WARNING!

Caution! Do not allow small children to play with the foil as there is a danger of suffocation!

• In order to protect children or frail individuals from the hazards of electrical equipment, please ensure that this device is only used under supervision. This device is not a toy. Do not allow small children to play with it.

Special Safety Instructions

• Switch the appliance on only if the blade, the protective lid and the motor casing are mounted correctly!
• The device is equipped with safety switches. Do not operate the device if there is a fault or if the safety switches have been tampered with!
• Before any spare parts are replaced the device must be switched off and disconnected from the mains!
• Wait for the blade to stop before removing the contents in the container!

WARNING:

Handle the blade with caution! There is a danger of injury, particularly when removing the knife from the dish, when emptying the dish and during cleaning!

• Use the appliance only to chop food!
• The appliance is designed to process only small quantities of food! Fill the container with the maximum quantities specified in the table!
• Do not put hard foods such as ice cubes, nutmeg or large pieces of chocolate into the container! The blade can be damaged!

Putting into Operation

Before using the appliance for the first time wash the transparent container, the protective lid and the blade in a sink.

WARNING:

1. Place the transparent container on a level and smooth work surface.
2. Place the blade (sharp edges facing downwards) on the metal axle in the container.
3. Fill the container with the desired ingredients. Do not overfill the container, otherwise the ingredients may not be chopped thoroughly (see the table with the quantities)!
4. Place the white protective lid on the transparent container and press it firmly until you hear it snap into place.

NOTE:

Turning the protective lid as you do so will help to fit it into place!

1. Mount the motor casing. Insert the power cable into a duly installed 230V/50Hz protective contact outlet.
2. Select one of the two speeds with the switch on the motor casing (see table).
3. Press down with your hand on the motor casing. The appliance is switched on.

PULSE MODE:

You can use pulse mode by briefly pressing and then releasing the switch. The machine should only be used in this manner for a maximum of 3 minutes. Please allow it to cool down for two minutes before using it again!

1. After chopping release the motor casing. Pull out the plug from the outlet.
2. Take the motor casing off the transparent container.
3. Remove the protective cover and carefully take out the tool.

WARNING:

Handle the blade with caution! There is a danger of injury!

1. Now you can remove the contents from the transparent container.

Of course, you can chop also other foods that are not specified herein. In order to determine the maximum time for a type of food that is not specified herein, compare it with the hardness of another type of food provided in the table, i.e. an Apple has the same insistence of onion. In this case, refer to the indications in the table for "onion".

Cleaning and Maintenance

Make sure that the plug is pulled out of the outlet after use and before cleaning!
Clean the motor casing with a dry cloth without detergents.
- The transparent container, the protective cover and the tools should be cleaned in soapy water.

WARNING: Do not dip the motor unit in water.

Standard commercially available washing-up liquid can also be added.

WARNING:

Handle the blade with caution! There is a danger of injury!

Dry all parts with a dry towel after washing.
- Do not wash in a dishwasher!
- When putting the appliance away, wind the cable, put all the parts together and fit the motor casing into place.

The sound pressure level in the ear of an operator (LpA) was measured according to DIN EN ISO 3744.

Guarantee

The device supplied by our company is covered by a 24-month guarantee starting on the date of purchase (receipt).

During the life of the guarantee any fault of the device or its accessories ascribable to material or manufacturing defects will be eliminated free of charge by repairing or, at our discretion, by replacing it. The guarantee services do not entail an extension of the life of the guarantee nor do they give rise to any right to a new guarantee!

Proof of the guarantee is provided by the proof of purchase. Without proof of purchase no free replacement or repair will be carried out.

If you wish to make a claim under the guarantee please return the entire machine in the original packaging to your dealer together with the receipt.

Defects to consumables or parts subject to wearing as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the guarantee and hence are to be paid!

The guarantee lapses in case of unauthorized tampering.

After the Expiry of the Guarantee

After the expiry of the guarantee repairs can be carried by the competent dealer or repair service against the payment of the ensuing costs.
