Frequently Asked Questions - PROMIX50U HQ Power

How to connect a turntable to the mixing console?
Connect the turntable's RCA cables to the Phono inputs of channel 1 or 2 (jacks marked Channel 1 or Channel 2). Set the corresponding Input Selector to Phono. Also connect the ground wire (GND) to the turntable if necessary.
What to do if I hear no sound?
Check that the device is on (Power LED on), that the channel faders are not at zero, that the master volume is sufficient, and that cables are properly connected. Also ensure that the audio source is correctly selected (Line/Phono) and that the crossfader is not at an extreme position.
How to use the Talkover function?
Press the Talkover button (19) when speaking into the microphone. This automatically reduces the master signal volume so your voice is heard better. Release the button to return to normal volume.
Can I connect a headphone?
Yes, connect your headphones to the headphone jack located on the side panel (27). Use the 00~10 knob (17) to adjust headphone volume.
How to use the USB input to play music?
Connect an MP3 player or USB flash drive to the USB port (12). Use the playback buttons (13-16) to control playback: next track, previous, play/pause, stop. Volume is adjusted with the Channel USB fader (7).
How to clean the mixing console?
Unplug the device. Regularly wipe it with a damp lint-free cloth. Never use alcohol or solvents. Avoid liquid entering the interior.
What type of microphone can I use?
You can use dynamic or electret microphones with a 6.35 mm unbalanced jack. The input level is 20 mV. Use good quality cables to avoid interference.
How to adjust equalization?
This mixing console does not have built-in equalization. Adjustment is done via the volume faders (Channel 1, 2, USB) and the crossfader to mix sources. The Mic Bal knob (1) balances the level between the two microphones.
What to do if the power LED does not turn on?
Check that the mixing console is properly connected to the power adapter and that the power adapter is plugged into a functional outlet. Ensure the Power switch (10) is in the ON position. If the problem persists, contact your dealer.
Can I use the console with an amplifier?
Yes, connect the left and right Master Output (21) to the amplifier inputs. Turn on the amplifier first, then the mixing console, and set volumes to minimum before powering on to avoid shocks.
