How to start the appliance?

Place the non-slip mat on a flat surface, place the container, insert the blade (sharp edge down), add food, place the safety cover, then the motor block. Plug in the appliance and press LOW or HIGH while holding the motor block with one hand.

What is the maximum capacity of the container?

The container has a capacity of approximately 1 litre. Do not fill beyond the quantities indicated in the table for each food, otherwise the chopping will be inefficient.

Can I chop ice?

Yes, the blade can crush ice cubes. Fill up to the 0.75 litre mark maximum and use only pulse mode.

How to clean the motor block?

Never immerse the motor block in water. Clean it with a dry cloth. For accessories (container, cover, blade, mat), wash them by hand with dish soap, rinse and wipe. Do not put them in the dishwasher.

Why does the appliance not turn on?

Check that the motor block, safety cover and blade are installed correctly. The appliance is equipped with a safety switch that prevents starting if assembly is incorrect. Also ensure the plug is connected.

How long can I use the appliance continuously?

The appliance is designed for short-term operation: maximum 20 seconds in continuous mode, or 1 minute in pulse mode. After each cycle, allow to cool for at least 2 minutes before reusing.

Can I blend liquids?

This appliance is a chopper, not a blender for liquids. It is designed to chop solid foods like meat, vegetables, nuts, etc. Do not use it for liquids.

How to change the accessories?

Always turn off the appliance and unplug it before changing accessories. Wait until the blade has stopped completely.

Where can I find spare parts?

Use only original parts. Contact Clatronic after-sales service or a qualified specialist to obtain spare parts.

What to do if the blade is damaged?

Unpack Device

Take the device out of its packaging.
- Remove all packaging materials, such as foils, filling materials, cable ties and cartons.
- Check that all accessories are included in the box.

NOTE:

Clean manufacturing residues and dust from the device as described under "Cleaning".

Start-Up

1. Place the rubber mat on a level, flat surface. Place the glass container on the rubber mat.
2. Carefully insert the blade (blades down) on the glass pin in the centre of the container.
3. Empty the desired foodstuffs into the container.

i NOTE:

Do not overfill the container; otherwise the foodstuffs cannot be properly chopped (quantities see table)!

1. Place the safety cover onto the container in such way that the blade shaft rests in the recess. The safety cover is properly positioned if it cannot be moved.

i NOTE:

Before use, always check that the silicone seal fits correctly.

1. Place the motor unit on the cover. In doing so, use the recesses in the safety cover.

6. Electric Connection

Connect the mains plug to a properly installed and earthed 230V, 50Hz wall outlet.

i NOTE:

• The motor unit is fitted with a safety switch.

• If the device cannot be switched on, check that the motor unit, safety cover and blade are fitted correctly.

• With one hand, press down on the motor unit while simultaneously pressing the LOW or HIGH button.

LOW = low speed

HIGH = high speed.

The unit starts up.

CAUTION:

This device is suitable for short time operation of maximum 20 seconds. Leave to cool down for at least 2 minutes before using the device again.

i NOTE:

PULSE OPERATION: Briefly press and release the switch for pulse operation. Use the device in this mode for maximum 1 minute. Leave to cool down for at least 2 minutes before using the device again!

1. After chopping, take your hand off the motor unit. Disconnect from mains power supply.
2. Remove the motor unit from the transparent container.
3. Lift off the safety cover and carefully remove the blade.
4. Now you can empty the contents in the transparent container.

Crushing ice: The blade is suitable for crushing ice cubes. Fill the container no higher than the 0.75 marking with ice cubes. Only crush ice cubes in pulse mode.

Obviously, you can chop other foodstuffs as well. Compare with the hardness of the foodstuffs in this table to find out the approximate chopping time; i.e. an apple is about as hard as an onion. In this case follow the instructions in the table for "onions".

Cleaning and Storage

WARNING!

After use and before cleaning always disconnect from mains power supply!
- Do not submerge the motor unit in water!
- The blade is very sharp. Risk of injury! Handle the blade with extreme care!

CAUTION:

• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive utensils for cleaning.

• Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.

• Clean the motor unit with a dry cloth without additional cleaning agents.

Transparent Container, Safety Cover, Blade and Black Rubber Mat

CAUTION:

• Do not wash these accessories in the dishwasher.

• The surfaces may become dull.

• Wash these accessories manually in dishwater.

• Rinse with clear water and dry with a cloth.
• Assemble the Multi Chopper before storage.

Troubleshooting

Device does not work.

Solution:

Check mains power connection.

Further possible causes:

The device is fitted with a safety switch.

This prevents accidental starting of the motor.

Solution:

Check that the motor unit, safety cover and blade are fitted correctly.
