EN EN T.INTENDED USE

1.The Electrical shredder ESH1-40.3 is designated with a maximum power input of 2500W(P40).

This product is intended for reducing biodegradable,garden organic waste materials to smaller pieces, such as leaves, small branches and grass, and used in a stationary position by an operator standing on the ground.

2. This product is not intended for shredding pieces of metal, rocks, bottles, cans, etc. or soft waste such as kitchen rubbish.

3. This product is for private light domestic use only in small spaces; it is not suitable for commercial applications or for larger open spaces and should not be used for any purpose other than described.

READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USE KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE Warning! Keep children and pets at a safe distance away from the device.

Local regulations or bylaws may determine the minimum age for using the shredder.

a) Read the instructions carefully, Be familiar with the controls and the correct use ofthe machine.

b) Never allow children or people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the machine. Local regulations can restrict the age ofthe operator.

à) Obtain ear protection and safety glasses. Wear them at all times while operating the machine.

b) Keep your face and body away from the feed intake opening.

d) Keep proper balance and footing at all times. Do not overreach. Never stand at à higher level than the base ofthe machine when feeding material into it.

e) Always stand clear ofthe discharge zone when operating this machine.

f) When feeding material into the machine be extremely careful that pieces of metal, rocks, bottles, cans or other foreign objects are not

g) lfthe cutting mechanism strikes any foreign objects or ifthe machine should start making any unusual noise or vibration, immediately shut offthe power source and allow the machine to stop. Disconnect the machine from the supply and take the following steps before restarting and operating the machine:

i) inspect for damage;

il) replace or repair any damaged parts;

ii) check or and tighten any loose parts.

h) Do not allow processed material to build up in the fisane zone: this may prevent proper discharge and can result in kickback of material through the feed intake opening.

i) the machine becomes clogged, shut-off the power source and disconnect the machine from supply before cleaning debris.

j} Never operate the machine with defective guards or shields, or without safety devices, for example debris collector in place.

k) Keep the power source clean of debris and other accumulations to prevent damage to the power source or possible fire.

m) Stop the machine, and remove plug from the socket. Make sure that all moving parts have come to a complete stop

- before checking, deaning or working on the machine.

2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Maintenance and storage

a) When the machine is stopped for servicing, inspection, or storage, or to change an accessory, shut off the power source, disconnect the machine from the supply and make sure that all mon parts are come to a complete stop. Allow the machine to cool before making any inspections, adjustments, etc. Maintain the machine with care and keep it clean.

b) Store the machine in a dry place out ofthe reach of children.

d) When servicing the shredding means be aware that, even though the power source is switched off due to the interlock feature of the gard, the shredding means can still be moved.

e) Replace worn or damaged parts for safety. Use only genuine replacement parts and accessorises.

f) Never attempt to override the interlocked feature of the guard.

The machine should be supplied via a residual current device (RCD) with atripping current of not more than 30 mA.

2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Service

a) Have your garden power tool serviced by à qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety ofthe garden power tool is maintained.

b) lfthe supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer orits service agent in order to avoid a hazard.

Ofthe carbon brushes need to be replaced, have this done by à qualified repair person (always replace the two brushes at the same time).

5. Maintain this product in accordance with these instructions and keep it well lubricated (where appropriate).

6. Plan your work schedule to spread any high vibration tool use across a longer period oftime.

2.Switch off and disconnect from the power supply ifthere are malfunctions. Have the product checked by a qualified professional and repaired, ifnecessary, before you operate it again.

Whitefinger” symptoms include: numbness, loss of feeling, tingling, pricking, pain, loss of strength, changes in skin colour or condition.
