- After unpacking, make sure the appliance is intact, EN complete with all its parts as shown in the illustrative guide and with no sign of damage. If in any doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorised service centre.

CAUTION! Remove any communication material such as labels, tags etc. from the appliance before use.

- This appliance must be used only for the purpose for which it was designed, namely as a hair straightener for home use. Any other use is considered not compliant with the intended use and therefore dangerous.
- Before connecting the appliance to the mains supply, make sure that the voltage and frequency indicated on the technical data of the appliance correspond to those of the mains supply. The rating is on the appliance or on the power supply unit, if any (see illustrative guide).
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

You will learn the application time required to achieve the required effect on your hair during the first few times you use it.
- Ensure your hair is dry, clean and without any trace of hairspray, hair mousse or gel.
- Comb your hair ensuring there are no knots. Start straightening from the nape of the neck, proceed on the sides and finish on the forehead.
- During use, when the plates heat and cool, position the appliance on a smooth and heat resistant surface.
While straightening, be careful not to near the plates too much to the sensitive parts of the face, ears, neck or head.
- Leave the plates to cool down completely when finished, before putting the appliance away.

WARNING! This appliance is not to be used if it has been dropped or if there are visible signs of damage.

ATTENTION! Do not pour diluting agents, scented liquids or descaling agents into the reservoir such substances can damage the product.

ATTENTION! Do not use water from dryers, air-conditioners, tumble dryers, filtered water with water softeners and rain water.

NOTE: The reservoir may contain some water as each product is tested before being put on the market.

WARNING! DO NOT use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water. Never place the appliance into water.

WARNING! Risk of fire. DO NOT use flammable products on hair or on the appliance.
FILLING THE RESERVOIR

NOTE: Only fill the water reservoir (2) if you wish to use am to straighten your hair
- Fill the bottle (11) with tap water.
- Slide the water reservoir (2) towards the rear of the appliance to
take it out. [Fig.B1]

- Open the rubber cap (1) positioned on the rear of the reservoir (2) making sure not to tear it when you do so.
- Take the top cap off the bottle (11) and place the tip in the larger hole of the water reservoir (2). While filling, hold the water reservoir (2) slightly tilted with the rounded part facing downwards.
- Fill the reservoir (2) up to the level of the smaller hole.
- Close the rubber cap (1) and make sure that the tank (2) is completely dry before putting it back in place.
- Slide the reservoir (2) in its seat towards the front of the appliance until you hear a "click". [Fig.B2]
ON/OFF
NOTE: Always keep the heating plates clean to ensure that the straightener offers the best performance.
- Connect the power cable (4) to the mains.
- To turn the straightener on, slide the ON/OFF button (6) to the left, positioning it on the required temperature (170^ - 200^ - 230^) .
NOTE: For particularly full and thick hair, set it at a higher temperature. For thin and fine hair, set it at a lower temperature. When in doubt, always start at a lower temperature and increase it until you find the ideal setting.
- The operating LED (7) starts to flash. The straightener is ready for use when the LED stops flashing.
- When you have finished styling your hair, switch the appliance off by sliding the button (6) to the right to O and disconnect it from the socket. Wait for the appliance to cool down. Disconnect the plug and let the appliance cool completely.
STAND-BY MODE
The straightener features the auto-off function after 60 minutes of no use.
To turn the appliance back on, turn it off by setting the button to 0 and turn it back on by selecting the required temperature again.
OPERATING MODE
PREPARING YOUR HAIR
- Your hair must be dry and must not have any cosmetic styling products in it.
Before straightening your hair, carefully comb any knots out.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
NOTE: To make the first flow of steam come out, when the 'on' indicator light (7) stops flashing, hold the appliance horizontally and press the heating plates all the way down about 5 times. During this operation make sure that the steam activation button (8) is fully pressed. Thereafter, steam will come out every time the plates are pressed.

ATTENTION!
RISK OF SCALDING. When steam first starts coming out, do not press the heating plates without straightening your hair to prevent drops of boiling water from coming out.

ATTENTION! Do not press the heating plates multiple times with the appliance switched off or in stand-by to prevent water from coming out.

ATTENTION!
RISK OF SCALDING. During use, take care not to place the straightener too close to your face, ears, neck or scalp.
- Take a thin, not large lock of hair between your fingers and place it between the heating plates (9-10) starting from the roots.
- With one hand hold the lock taut and with the other slide the straightener closed from the roots to the ends; you can use a comb to do so.
- Repeat the same on every lock of hair.

NOTE: The holes where the steam comes out from must always face downwards
- When all the locks are straight, turn the appliance off and unplug it from the power socket.
- Let the appliance cool completely..
PLATE CLOSING SYSTEM
The straightener has a closing system.
To lock the two arms of the straightener in the closed position, hold them together and press the plate lock (5) with the closed
padlock symbol.
- To unlock them, press the plate lock (5) with the open padlock symbol.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

WARNING! Always disconnect the appliance from the socket before cleaning or performing maintenance.

WARNING! Make sure all cleaned parts are completely dry before reusing the appliance.
After each use, empty the water reservoir (2), dry it and clean it with a cloth.
- Wait for the heating plates (9/10) to cool down.
- Clean the surface of the heating plates (9/10) and the handle with a soft, damp cloth.

STORAGE

If you do not use the appliance for a long time:
Clean the appliance as described in the "Cleaning" chapter.

DISPOSAL

The packaging of the appliance is made of recyclable materials. Dispose of it in accordance with the environmental protection regulations.

Pursuant to Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), the crossed bin symbol on the appliance or its packaging indicates that the appliance must be disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its useful life.
The user must therefore take the appliance to an appropriate recycling centre for electrical and electronic equipment.
Alternatively, instead of handling the disposal, the user can hand over the appliance to the retailer when a new, equivalent one is purchased. The user can hand over electronic products measuring less than 25cm to retailers of electronic products having a sales area of at least 400m^2 free of charge and with no obligation to buy. Appropriate separate collection for the subsequent procedure for the decommissioned appliance for recycling, which includes treatment and environmentally friendly disposal helps prevent adverse effects on the environment and health and promotes reusing and/or recycling materials that the appliance consists of.
ASSISTANCE AND WARRANTY
The appliance is guaranteed for a period of two years from the date of delivery. Evidence shall be taken as the date indicated on the receipt/invoice (provided it is legible), unless the buyer can prove that the delivery occurred later.
In the event of a defect in the product which existed prior to the date of delivery, appliance repair or replacement is guaranteed free of charge, unless one of the two solutions is disproportionate to the other. The buyer has the obligation to notify an authorised Service Centre of the non-conformity within two months from discovering the defect.
The warranty does not cover any part that may be defective due to:
a. transport damage or accidental drops,
b. incorrect installation or an inadequate electrical system,
c. repairs or alterations made by unauthorised personnel,

e. product and/or product parts subject to wear and/or consumables, including the reduction in battery usage time due to the use or time, if present,
f. failure to comply with the operating instructions and/or negligent or careless use,

Methods of support
Appliance repairs must be carried out by an authorised Service Centre. If the faulty appliance is under warranty, it must be sent to the Service Centre together with a fiscal document that can confirm the date of sale or delivery.
