1 Safety

Observe the following safety instructions.

1.1 General information

  • Read this instruction manual carefully.
  • Keep the instruction manual and the product information safe for future reference or for the next owner.
  • Do not connect the appliance if it has been damaged in transit.

1.2 Intended use

Only use this appliance:

  • With genuine parts.
  • For cutting up, chopping, mixing, grinding and beating food, for blending and puréeing.
  • For making pancake batter, sorbets, spreads, sauces and ice cream. For crushing ice cubes. Under supervision.
  • In private households and in enclosed spaces in a domestic environment at room temperature.
  • For normal processing quantities and for normal processing times for domestic use. Up to an altitude of max. 2000 m above sea level. For blending fruit and vegetables to make smoothies.

Disconnect the appliance from the power supply when:

You are not using the appliance. The appliance is unattended. Assembling the appliance. Taking the appliance apart. Cleaning the appliance. Approaching rotating parts. Confronted with a fault.

1.3 Restriction on user group

This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

Do not let children play with the appliance.

Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children.

The appliance must not be used by children. Keep children away from the appliance and power cable.

1.4 Safety instructions

Observe the safety instructions.

If the appliance or the power cord is damaged, this is dangerous.

  • Parts which show cracks or other damage or do not fit correctly must be replaced with genuine spare parts.

  • Never place fingers in the attached blender jug.

The blender knife has sharp blades.

  • When cleaning and emptying the blender jug, watch out for the sharp blades.

2 Avoiding material damage

ATTENTION!

Improper use may cause material damage.

  • Do not operate the appliance at no-load. Observe the maximum processing quantities.
  • Never use the blender jug in the microwave or oven.
  • Do not use the blender jug to store objects which do not belong to it.
  • Do not process food that is hotter than 50°C in the To-Go blender jug.

3 Environmental protection and saving energy

3.1 Disposing of packaging

The packaging materials are environmentally compatible and can be recycled.

  • Sort the individual components by type and dispose of them separately.

4 Unpacking and checking

Find out here what you need to note when unpacking the appliance.

4.1 Unpacking the appliance and parts

  1. Take the appliance out of the packaging.
  2. Take all other parts and the accompanying documents out of the packaging and place them to hand.
  3. Remove any packaging material.
  4. Remove any stickers or film.

6 Before using for the first time

Configure the basic settings. Clean the appliance and accessories.

6.1 Cleaning the appliance and parts

  1. Clean all parts that come into contact with food before using for the first time. → "Cleaning and servicing", Page 37
  2. Put the cleaned and dried parts out ready for use.

7 Basic operation

7.1 Cable length

Adjust the length of the power cable to your needs.

  1. Pull the power cable out to the required length.
  2. To shorten the cable, push it into the cable storage compartment.

7.3 Using the blender to process food

WARNING Risk of injury!

Improper use may cause injuries.

  • Only use the appliance once it is fully assembled.
  • Never operate the appliance without fitting the lid.
  • Never place fingers in the attached blender jug.
  • Prepare the food. For example, cut large items of food into pieces.
  • Check the seal on the EasyClick blade insert. If a seal has been removed, reinsert it correctly.

Note: The seal remains on the EasyClick blade insert for cleaning. If the seal is damaged or not correctly positioned, liquid may run out.

The seal is seated in the groove. - The sealing lips point in the direction of the blender jug. - The smooth sealing surface lies against the EasyClick blade insert.

  1. Turn the blender jug upside down.
  2. Open the retaining bracket.

  1. Align the EasyClick blade insert with the tap in the blender jug.
  2. Push the EasyClick blade insert into the blender jug and close the retaining bracket until it clicks into place. → Fig. 4
  3. Place the blender jug onto the main unit and rotate in a clockwise direction until it locks into place. → Fig. 5

  5. Insert the measuring jug in the lid and place the lid on the blender jug. (Fig. 7) The lid must be completely closed. 11. Insert mains plug.
  6. Set the rotary switch to the recommended speed. (Fig. 3)
  7. Process the ingredients until you achieve the required result.
  8. To end the operation, set the rotary switch to 0.

7.4 Using instantaneous switching

  1. Set the rotary switch to pulse and hold it there. (Fig. 9)
  2. The ingredients are processed at maximum speed.
  3. Release the rotary switch. The rotary switch jumps to 0. Processing stops.

7.5 Pushing down food for processing

  1. Remove the measuring jug and insert the pusher into the filling opening. (Fig. 10)
  2. Push down the food from the sides of the blender jug. (Fig. 10)

7.6 Adding more ingredients

  1. During processing, remove the measuring jug and add the ingredients through the opening in the lid. (Fig. 11)
  2. To add larger quantities, set the rotary switch to 0.
  3. Wait until the appliance stops.
  4. Remove the lid. → Fig. 12
  5. Add the ingredients. → Fig. 12
  6. Place the lid on the blender jug again and continue to process the ingredients.

7.7 Emptying the blender jug

Requirement: The appliance has stopped.

  1. Turn the blender jug anti-clockwise and remove it from the main unit. → Fig. 13
  2. To pour out all of the processed food, remove the lid. → Fig. 14

7.8 Processing food using the To-Go blender jug

1. Prepare the food. For example, cut large items of food into pieces.

  1. Add the food to the To-Go blender jug.

  1. Place the To-Go blade insert on the To-Go blender jug.

  1. Screw the To-Go blade insert and the To-Go blender jug in tightly.
  • The ∇ and △ markings must match up.
  • You can only connect the To-Go blade insert to the main unit when the To-Go blender jug is screwed on fully.
  • Turn the To-Go blender jug upside down.
  1. Place the To-Go blade insert on the main unit and rotate it in a clockwise direction until it locks into place.
  1. Set the rotary switch to the recommended speed.

Tip: We recommend pausing operation several times when preparing smaller quantities of baby food in the To-Go blender jug.

Processing can also take place with instantaneous switching.

  1. Process the ingredients until you achieve the required result.
  2. To end the operation, set the rotary switch to 0.

7.9 Closing the To-Go blender jug

Requirement: The appliance has stopped.

  1. Turn the To-Go blender jug anticlockwise and remove it from the main unit.
  1. Turn the To-Go blender jug and unscrew the To-Go blade insert.
  1. Insert the seal for the lid.
  1. Close the mouthpiece on the lid.
  1. Screw the lid and the To-Go blender jug in tightly.

7.10 Using the chopper-grinder accessory to process food

  1. Prepare the food.

For example, cut large items of food into pieces.

  1. Add the ingredients to the chopper-grinder attachment.

  1. Place the chopper-grinder blade insert on the chopper-grinder attachment.

7.11 Emptying the chopper-grinder accessory

Requirement: The appliance has stopped.

  1. Turn the chopper-grinder accessory anti-clockwise and remove it from the main unit. → Fig. 28
  2. Turn the chopper-grinder accessory over and unscrew the chopper-grinder blade insert. → Fig. 28
  3. Empty the chopper-grinder attachment with the processed food.

6.1 Cleaning the device and parts

7 Basic information about use

7.1 Power cable

Unwind the power cable completely as needed.

Adjust the cable length using the clip to store the cable.

  1. Pull the cable completely out of the plug.

7.2 Recommendations for use

Here you can select the optimal speed for different products.

Use the appliance only in the assembled state. Never start the appliance without the lid installed. Never put your hands into the installed blender jar.

1. Prepare the products.

For example, cut the products into pieces.

2. Check the blades of the EasyKlick insert. Install the insert correctly again. → Fig. 3

Caution: The insert is placed on the EasyKlick blade insert for cleaning. In case of damage or incorrect placement of the insert, injury may occur.

The insert is fixed in place. The cleaning sponges are intended for the blender jar. The smooth surface of the insert faces the EasyKlick blade insert. 3. Turn the blender jar over. 4. Fold the bracket. → Fig. 4 5. Insert the EasyKlick insert into the blender jar until it clicks into place. 6. Press the EasyKlick insert into the blender jar and fold the bracket until it locks. → Fig. 4 7. Place the blender jar on the base unit and turn it clockwise until it locks. → Fig. 5 8. 7.4 Using the pulse function

  2. Release the rotary switch. The switch automatically returns to position 0. Processing stops.

5 Getting to know the appliance

7.9 Closing the To-Go cup

Requirement: The appliance has finished working.

  1. Turn the To-Go cup counterclockwise and remove it from the motor block. 2. Turn the To-Go cup over and open the To-Go blade insert.
  2. Install the lid.
  3. Close the opening for the lid.
  4. Tightly screw the lid onto the To-Go cup.

7.10 Chopping foods

  1. Prepare foods.

For example, cut large foods into pieces.

  1. Place ingredients into the bowl for chopping.

Do not exceed the maximum amount of foods.

Use the pulse function for coarse and fine grinding. Do not grind dried or hard products larger than coffee beans. For grinding, for example, nutmeg and dried plums are suitable. Do not grind sugar into powder. The device is not suitable for crushing ice cubes. The grinder is not intended for making nut paste. Grind no more than 50 g of hard products at maximum speed for no more than one second or start grinding with a single press 1-5 times, unless otherwise specified in the recipe table. The grinder is not suitable for processing spices, for example, pepper.
