Multifunctional food processor

Dear Customer,

Before using the appliance, please read the following instructions carefully and keep this manual for future reference. The appliance must only be used by persons familiar with these instructions.

Connection to the mains supply

Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label of the appliance. This product complies with all binding CE labelling directives.

Safety instructions

  • In order to avoid hazards and to comply with safety regulations, any repairs to the appliance and the power cord must only be carried out by our customer service. Therefore, in the event of a repair being needed, please contact our customer service by phone or email (see Annex).
  • Disconnect the appliance from power,

  • before any assembly or disassembly,

  • before any opening of the lid,
  • if supervision is not available,
  • after every use,

  • in the event of problems during operation,

  • before cleaning, every time.

  • Do not take the power plug out of the socket by pulling on the power cord, but hold the power plug to take it out.

  • Operating times and settings for the individual accessories are provided in the table at the beginning of the manual.
  • Warning! Using the appliance incorrectly can lead to injuries.
  • Warning! Only use the appliance with the lid or protection in the correct position for use, as described in the manual. Because of the two safety switches, the appliance can only be switched on when the appropriate accessories are attached and correctly locked in place.
  • The chopping tool blades and discs are sharp! Risk of injury! Particular care must be taken when emptying the working container and during cleaning.
  • For reasons of electrical safety, the motor unit must never come into contact with liquids or be immersed in them.
  • Immediately after use, clean the removable parts with water and dry them thoroughly.
  • The removable accessories, but not the blade unit of the blender container and the scraper, can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
  • For more information on cleaning, please refer to the Cleaning and Care section.

  • Hot liquids must never be poured into the containers.

  • Be careful when pouring warm liquids into the mixing/working containers, as they could escape from the appliance in the form of a sudden blast of steam.
  • This appliance is intended for household use and similar applications, such as

  • in kitchens used by employees in shops, offices and similar work environments,
    -in agricultural settings,

  • by customers in hotels, motels and other typical residential environments,
  • in establishments offering bed and breakfast.

  • In the event that this appliance is to be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with lack of experience or knowledge, the user must be supervised or instructed regarding the safe use of the appliance and must have an understanding of the consequent potential risks of danger.

  • This appliance must not be used by children. This appliance and its power cord must be kept out of the reach of children.
  • Children must not play with this appliance.

  • Keep all packaging material out of the reach of children. There is a risk of suffocation!

  • Before commissioning, check the whole appliance, including the power cord and any accessories, to ensure that there are no defects or damage, which could impair the functional safety of the appliance. For example, if the appliance has fallen onto the floor, or the power cord has been pulled, there may be damage that cannot be seen from the outside. In such cases, do not operate the appliance.
    Always position the appliance on a flat surface.
  • Never leave the power cord dangling downwards.
  • Never allow the appliance or the power cord to be exposed to any external source of heat.
  • Never use your fingers, or objects, to push food into the feed tube - always use the food pusher!
    After switching off the appliance, always wait for the motor to stop completely before carrying out any cleaning of the unit! Do not touch any part of the appliance whilst still in motion!
  • When using the mixing jug: Do not turn on the appliance if the mixing jug is empty.
  • The appliance must only be operated with the original accessories provided with it and for the purpose described.
  • If the appliance is operated incorrectly or used for purposes other than the intended use, no liability can be accepted for any damage that may occur.

Before using for the first time

  • Unpack the appliance completely and remove any remaining packaging material and stickers. Do not remove the nameplate!
  • Clean the removable parts as described in the Cleaning and Care section.

Operation

The rotary switch has the following positions:

II Appliance is switched on at high speed.
1 Appliance is switched on at low speed.
0 Appliance is switched off.
P Appliance remains switched on at high speed as long as the switch is kept in this position.

General

  • First, assemble the accessories needed for the task you wish to undertake. Instructions for selecting accessories are provided in the table at the beginning of the manual.
  • The food processor is equipped with two safety switches. This means that the appliance can only be switched on when the appropriate accessories are attached and correctly locked in place.
    After every use, switch off the appliance and wait for the motor to stop before changing or removing accessories.
  • Never fill higher than the Max markings for quantities in the working container, mixing jug and grinding attachment container, and apply the information provided in the table at the beginning of the manual.
  • The maximum operating times for each application are provided in the table at the beginning of the manual.
  • The appliance is equipped with an overheating protection, which turns it off in the event of overheating. If this happens, switch off the appliance, unplug the power cord and wait for 30 minutes, until the appliance has cooled down again.

A) Chopping

  • Place the working container onto the motor unit, with the handle to the right, and turn it clockwise until it locks into place with a click (G A) .
  • Place the drive shaft into the working container.
  • Place the chopping tool onto the drive shaft and press down as far as it will go.

Attention: Only touch the plastic parts of the chopping tool. The blades are very sharp!

  • Add your ingredients.
  • Place the lid with the food pusher onto the working container and turn it clockwise until it locks into place with a click ( ) .
    Plug in and turn on the appliance.
    If you need to add more ingredients, remove the food pusher briefly to do so.

B) Kneading

  • Place the working container onto the motor unit, with the handle to the right, and turn it clockwise until it locks into place with a click ( ) .
  • Place the drive shaft into the working container.
  • Place the kneading tool onto the drive shaft and press down as far as it will go.
  • Add your ingredients.
  • Place the lid with the food pusher onto the working container and turn it clockwise until it locks into place with a click ( ) .
    Plug in and turn on the appliance.
    If you need to add more ingredients, remove the food pusher briefly to do so.

C) Grating, shredding, slicing & Julienne cutting

  • First select the desired working disc. Each disc has different functions on each side.

The name of each disc can be found on the black plastic holder in the centre.

  • Place the working container onto the motor unit, with the handle to the right, and turn it clockwise until it locks into place with a click (G G) .
  • Place the drive shaft into the working container.
  • Place the selected disc onto the drive shaft with the desired function facing upwards.
  • Place the lid onto the working container and turn clockwise to lock ( ) .
  • Plug in and turn on the appliance.
  • Add ingredients by means of the feed tube.

Attention! Always use the appropriate food pusher when adding ingredients by means of the feed tube.

D) Whipping cream & beating egg whites/Emulsifying/ Preparing dressings

  • Place the working container onto the motor unit, with the handle to the right, and turn it clockwise until it locks into place with a click (G A) .
  • Place the drive shaft into the working container.
  • Place the emulsifying disc onto the drive shaft.
  • Add your ingredients.
  • Place the lid onto the working container and turn clockwise to lock ( ) . Place the food pusher into the feed tube.
    Plug in and turn on the appliance.
    If you need to add more ingredients, remove the food pusher briefly to do so.

E) Mixing

  • Place the mixing jug onto the motor unit and turn it clockwise until it locks into place with a click ( ) .
  • Add the ingredients, put the mixing jug lid on and turn clockwise to lock (G G) .
  • Insert the lid insert into the feed opening in the lid and turn clockwise to lock ( ) . Never operate the appliance without lid insert!
  • Plug in and turn on the appliance.
  • Attention: Never operate the mixer without any ingredients in the container!
  • Never put hot liquids into the container!

F) Grinding

  • Put ingredients into the grinding attachment container.
  • Place the grinding attachment base onto the container and screw it on clockwise. Turn the base and container over.
  • Place the base onto the motor unit and turn it until it locks into place with a click (G B) .
    Plug in and turn on the appliance.

After use

  • Switch off the appliance and unplug the power cord. Wait for the motor to stop running.
  • Turn the attachments anti-clockwise to unlock and remove them.
  • As necessary, unlock the lids and remove ingredients.
  • Caution! The chopping tool blades and discs are sharp!
  • Clean individual parts as described in the Cleaning and Care section.

Recipe for testing institutes

Mix 400 g carrots and 600 ml water for 1 minute at Speed 2.

Cleaning and Care

  • Before cleaning the appliance, every time, switch it off, unplug the power cord and wait for the motor to stop running.
  • Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning materials.
  • For reasons of electrical safety, the motor unit must never come into contact with water or be immersed in it.
  • When cleaning the motor unit, only use a soft damp cloth.
  • When removing residue from the containers, only use the scraper provided.
  • Remove the accessories and clean them immediately after use, using hot water with some washing-up liquid in.
  • The removable accessories, but not the blade unit of the blender container and the scraper, can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
  • The blade unit of the blender container can be removed for cleaning as follows:

  • Turn the mixing jug over and use the wide side of the lid insert to unscrew it. Loosen the blade unit by turning anti-clockwise. Caution! The blade is sharp!

  • Remove the seal.
  • Use a brush to clean the blade and the seal.
  • Place the seal back onto the blade unit.
  • Place the blade unit into the mixing jug, put the ring on, screw on clockwise and tighten by hand. Use the lid insert to screw on tightly.
  • When cleaning the chopping knife and the working discs, pay attention to the sharp edges. Risk of injury!

Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse.

This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights, nor any legal rights you may have as a consumer under applicable national legislation governing the purchase of goods. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return.
