Frequently Asked Questions - PD7640 SOLAC

How to set up a user for BIA analysis?
Press SET, select a user number (P1 to P4) with + or -, confirm with SET. Then choose your gender, age, and height the same way. Data will be saved in memory.
What does the error 'Err2%' on the screen mean?
The error indicates a problem with body fat measurement. Check that you are barefoot, your feet are correctly positioned on the electrodes, and the scale surface is dry.
How to change the measurement unit (kg/lb/st)?
Open the battery compartment and set the selector inside to the desired unit: kg, lb, or st.
What to do if the screen shows 'Lo'?
The 'Lo' symbol indicates a low battery. Replace the lithium battery with a new one, respecting polarity.
How to view weighing history?
After a BIA analysis, a scrolling '0' appears. Press SET within 5 seconds, then choose a memory (1 to 5) with + or - to display the last 5 weighings of that user.
Can I use the scale if I am pregnant?
It is not recommended to use the scale during pregnancy. BIA analysis may give inaccurate results. Consult your doctor.
What does 'OL' on the screen mean?
'OL' means overload: the weight exceeds the maximum capacity of 150 kg. Step off immediately to avoid damaging the scale.
How to clean the scale without damaging it?
Use a slightly damp cloth with a mild cleaning agent. Dry thoroughly. Never use abrasive products or solvents, and avoid contact with cosmetics.
Why does the weight not display when I step on the scale?
Make sure the scale shows '0.0' before stepping on. If an error message appears, step off, wait for it to turn off, then try again. Also check that the batteries are properly installed.
Can I use the scale on a rug or carpet?
It is best to place the scale on a hard, flat surface. A rug may reduce accuracy. If you must use it on a rug, make sure it is firm and wrinkle-free.

INTRODUCCIÓN:

Obesity, in other words, abnormal absorption of body fat, is a known risk for people's health: high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, etc. Less serious problems can also be caused by obesity, such as sleep apnoea, sleepiness during the day, etc. With these scales, you can now check your weight and body fat percentage without leaving your home.

These scales use one of the most reliable methods for analysing body composition: BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis). This system measures the resistance of the body to a small, harmless electrical current, which is carried up through the legs by water and other fluids. The value of this resistance is greater in fatty tissue.

When comparing the impedance with certain information, such as height, weight, age and sex, we can calculate the percentage of body fat.
