IMPORTANT

• Read these instructions carefully before using the self-tanning gun.
• Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.
• Make sure that the mains supply coincides with the voltage shown on the specifications plate.
• Remove all elements from the inside or outside of the device used for protection during transport or for sales promotions, such as paper or plastic bags, plastic sheets, cardboard and stickers.
• Switch off the device when not in use, even if only for a moment.
• Check the device frequently for signs of wear or damage. If these signs appear, or if the product has been used improperly, take it to an Authorised Service Centre.
• Check the condition of the adapter cord from time to time. If it is damaged, take the device to an Authorized Service Centre.
• For proper operation, it is advisable to clean the device after each use (see Cleaning and Maintenance section). Unplug the device from the mains before cleaning it.
• Keep the device out of the reach of children.
• Do not expose the equipment to temperatures lower than 0^ or higher than 40^ , and do not expose the device to sunlight for long time periods.
• Never use any accessory not recommended by Solac, as they could damage the device.
• Never unplug the device by pulling on the power cord or by pulling the device itself.
• This product is designed for home use. It cannot be used on a continuous, uninterrupted basis.
• USE IT FOR WHAT IT WAS MADE FOR!

• If you decide not to use the device again, it is best to put it out of service. To do this, disable the parts of the device that could be dangerous, especially for children, as they might use it improperly during play.

• IMPORTANT! Do not get the device wet or submerge it in water.

• Do not use while in water.
• Do not leave it where it might fall into water.

CAUTION! This product has rechargeable nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) batteries. For disposal of the device, NEVER throw it in the rubbish bin. Take it to your nearest CLEAN POINT or the waste collection centre closest to your home for processing. You will thus be helping to take care of the environment.

SELF-TANNING LOTION

Bronze Air Perfection is a UNIVERSAL tanning spray gun. It can be used with any self-tanning lotion on the market, provided its consistency is LIQUID.

• CAUTION! Keep the lotion out of children's reach. Do not ingest.
• CAUTION! Self-tanning lotions do not offer sunscreen protection. If you go out in the sun, you must use your regular sunscreen.

PREPARATION FOR PERFECT RESULTS

1. Start by exfoliating the skin, particularly in rougher areas like elbows, knees and heels.
2. Spray on clean and dry skin, free of perfume.
3. Avoid eye contact. We recommend to use protective goggles (17)
4. Do not use the self-tanner on the palms of your hands or the soles of your feet. If you accidentally spray lotion onto these areas, wash them immediately with water and soap.
5. Protect your nails and lips with a vaseline.
6. It is advisable to spread an old towel on the ground in the area where you plan to apply the lotion.
7. You can use the nose protection (18) or a piece of cotton if you don't like the lotion smell.

CHARGING THE SPRAY GUN'S BATTERY

• Connect the adapter (12) to the mains and the gun, using the mains connection (11). (Fig. 1)
• The device needs 8 hours to charge and has a free-standing usage limit of approx. 50 minutes.
• While charging, the charge indicator (13) will shine RED, returning to GREEN when the device is ready for use.
• CAUTION! The first charge-deplete cycle should be complete. We recommend that you charge/deplete the battery fully once every 3 months.

USE WITH A CORD

• If you need to use the spray gun and the battery's charge is depleted, you can use it with the power cord connected.
• Plug the adapter (12) into the mains and connect it to the spray gun (11). You can use the spray gun immediately.
• If you notice the spray gun is not operating at full power, recharge it for 5 minutes and continue using it with the power cord plugged into the mains.

PREPARED THE BRONZE AIR PERFECTION SPRAY GUN

• Place the spatter guard (2) on the mouth of the spray gun (Fig. 2)
• Put on the gloves before handling the lotion (Fig. 3)
• Remove the lotion receptacle (5) (Fig. 4)
• Open the receptacle lid (6) (Fig. 5a)
• BEWARE! Do not pull too hard or towards the front; you can cause damage to the lid. (Fig. 5b)
• Pour lotion into the receptacle (Fig. 5c). You can add lotion up to the Maximum mark (MAX). You can tan your whole body with approx. 30 - 50ml
• Close the receptacle lid (6) (Fig. 6a)
• Insert the spray gun's tube (10) (Fig. 6b)
• Close the spray gun (Fig. 6c)

ADJUSTING THE SPEED

The spray gun has two speed positions:

1) Speed position 1: Slower, ideal for smaller skin areas requiring more precision (e.g. face and neckline).
2) Speed position 2: Faster, ideal for large skin areas like the legs. To select the speed, turn the speed selector (4) (Fig. 7)

APPLICATION

• The spray gun's operation is highly intuitive. Once the receptacle (5) is closed it serves as a handle, and the pushbutton (3) is like a trigger.
• To spray on the lotion, gently press the pushbutton down (3). (Fig. 8)
• To stop spraying, stop pressing the pushbutton (3).
• For perfect results, it is advisable to use the gun at a distance of approximately 15cm from the skin (Fig. 9).
• The gun should always be in motion while applying lotion. Move it slowly and gently, without any hurries, making sure you cover the entire area to be tanned.
• CAUTION! Never leave the spray gun in a fixed (motionless) position. If you do, the lotion will concentrate in the area you're pointing at, darkening the skin area involved more than the rest. If the spray gun drips, remove any excess lotion with a towel previously dampened in water or a cosmetic sponge. Never use paper paste-based products.

TECHNIQUES FOR APPLYING LOTION

There are two basic techniques for applying lotion:

a) For legs, arms, face and neckline: smooth left-right and up-down swinging motion. (Fig. 10)
b) For larger areas (trunk, back): smooth circular motion. (Fig. 11)

• We recommend you let someone else spray the lotion on you. The result is always better, and in some cases it is inevitable (e.g. when spraying on your back).
• Follow the figures included in this booklet as a guide to applying lotion. We suggest you follow the illustrated procedure to help make sure you leave no areas without spraying. Start by point 1 and follow the lines and the numeric sequence.
• It is advisable to spray on the lotion in the bathroom the first time. When you've made sure the lotion sprays steadily (approx. 2 seconds), aim the gun at the area you wish to cover without releasing the pushbutton (3). Repeat this operation every time you activate the spray gun.

RESULT

• Your tan will start to show a few hours after applying the lotion. The time and the tone depend on the lotion used.
• It is advisable not to wash the treated area until the necessary time for the lotion to act has elapsed.
• If you wish to highlight your tan or correct less-tanned areas, repeat the application. However, you should wait at least 1 day for a second application.
• Let the product dry (10 min) and then apply moisturising cream to the treated area.
• To make sure the lotion has dried, touch your skin softly with the back of your hand.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

A) SELF-TANNING SPRAY GUN

Cleaning the exterior

• Clean the spray gun (1) whenever necessary using a smooth, dry cloth.
• IMPORTANT! Do not use alcohol or abrasive products, as they may spoil the product's finish.

Cleaning the interior

• It is important to clean the interior after every use. Otherwise, clogging can result.
• Pour the remaining lotion back into its original container.
• Put a little water with alcohol in the spray gun receptacle (5) and spray the solution into a wash basin for approx. 20 seconds.

NOTE: Use the spatter guard during cleaning to prevent the gun from getting wet with the cleaning solution.

• The spray gun tube (10) can be removed for cleaning. (Fig. 6d)

B) ACCESSORIES

• Spatter Guard (2) Goggles (17), Nose Protectors (18): You can clean them with water and soap. Let dry in the open air; do not towel dry.
• Travel Bag (19): Clean it with a damp cloth.
• Gloves (20): We advise you to discard them after each application. If not, wash them with water and soap and let them dry before putting them away. Be especially careful not to stain your hands when you take off your gloves.

STORAGE

• The spray gun and all accessories can be stored in a practical travel bag (19). If you leave lotion inside the receptacle, leave the spray gun disassembled and fit the watertight lid (9) properly onto the receptacle.
• CAUTION! Do not store the spray gun as is with lotion in the receptacle, as the lotion can flow back through the tube and damage to the device.
