How to change the batteries of the baby monitor?

Open the locking cover of the transmitter or receiver by sliding it. Insert 4 AAA alkaline batteries respecting polarity (+/-). Close the cover. Preferably use good quality alkaline batteries.

How to activate VOX mode?

On the transmitter, set the switch (2) to the 'VOX' position. The indicator light turns green. In VOX mode, the transmitter only transmits when the baby makes a sound, which reduces radiation and saves batteries.

What to do if the baby monitor does not transmit any sound?

Check that the batteries are not empty (red indicator). Replace batteries if necessary. Make sure the transmitter and receiver are on the same channel. Move the device away from other electrical equipment to avoid interference.

How to avoid interference or background noise?

Move the transmitter away from other electrical devices (baby monitor, phone, etc.). Change the channel using the dial (3) on the transmitter and (10) on the receiver. Make sure both are set to the same channel.

Can I use rechargeable batteries?

Yes, you can use AAA rechargeable batteries. However, remove them from the device before recharging. Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Have an adult supervise the charging of rechargeable batteries.

How to clean the baby monitor?

Clean the transmitter and receiver with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive products. Never immerse the device in water.

What is the actual range of the baby monitor?

The maximum range is 300 meters in open space. In a house, walls and steel structures can reduce the range. For optimal range, move the transmitter away from obstacles and use mains power if possible.

How to attach the belt clip of the receiver?

The receiver is equipped with an integrated clip. Open the clip by gently pulling it, then attach it to your belt or strap. Make sure it is securely locked. To remove it, reverse the operation.

What does the red indicator light on the transmitter or receiver mean?

The red indicator light means the batteries are low or empty. Replace the batteries with new ones as soon as possible to avoid loss of transmission.

Thank you for choosing our Baby monitor Simply Care. We recommend you read these instructions carefully in order to use your Baby monitor to best advantage and ensure it continues to operate as long as possible. If you should find a fault, however, or if you have any problem, please contact our company.

IMPORTANT: this baby monitor uses low emission power, in order to protect baby's health. You are advised to use the "Vox" mode of your baby monitor a maximum: with this function, the receiver and transmitter do not communicate continuously in order so as to the amount of radiation emitted in the bedroom. When baby cries, the system is activated immediately to alert parents; when the baby doesn't cry, the transmitter and the receiver communicate only each 20 seconds to check the good communication.

FUNCTIONS

WARNING

• The Baby monitor Simply Care should not be seen as a medical device. In addition to using Baby monitor Simply Care, it is strongly recommended that an adult checks on your baby directly, on a regular basis. Premature babies or children considered to be at risk should be monitored by your pediatrician or a health professional.
• Never go away from your baby outside the house, even a short moment.
• For optimum use of your babyphone, you are advised to use good quality AAA alkaline batteries.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged;
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the device before being charged ;
• Different types of batteries : new and used batteries, or rechargeable and not rechargeable batteries, are not to be mixed ;
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision
• Batteries have to be inserted with the correct polarity (+/-) ;
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the device;
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

PRECAUTIONS

• When not using the monitor for as long period of time, remove all batteries from the transmitter and receiver to avoid damage due to battery leakage.
• The baby monitor is best performed within a temperature range of 0^ to +40^ .
• Do not leave the monitor expose to strong sunlight for a long time or nearby any heat source, moisture and excessive dusty environment.

• Do not open the cabinet, no service able part inside.

• Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment should be disposed of by selective collection. Do not throw electrical and electronic equipment away with unsorted household waste, but dispose of it at a selective collection point.

This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU.

POWER SUPPLY

1. Operation using batteries (not supplied)

Slide open the battery cover of transmitter and receiver. Insert four pieces AAA size (UM-4) alkaline batteries into the compartment. Observe correct polarities indication (+/-) .

2. Operation using the (AC adapter not supplied)

If you have a 6V 300 mA adapter, the transmitter and the receiver can be operated on AC. Connect the output plug of adapter to DC jack of the transmitter (5) and the receiver (12). Connect the adapter to the mains.

N.B.: The communication range is longer when the transmitter is operated on AC mains.

OPERATION

A / Transmitter

• Switch the transmitter on by setting button (2) to VOX (tripped on voice, recommended) or to ON (continuous operation). The power on indicator (1) will light up green.
• Select either channel 1 or 2 using the Channel Selector Switch (3).
• Place the transmitter about 1m from the cradle, directing the microphone (6) towards the baby.
• Under VOX mode, once the built-in microphone picks up any sound from the baby, the transmitter will automatically switches into transmit mode and the transmit indicator (4) lights up. When the baby stop making sound, the transmitter will return to standby mode and the transmit indicator goes off.
• Under ON (continuous transmission) mode, the transmitter will always transmit no matter the baby is making any sound or not. This is useful if you want to monitor the slightest sound of the baby. For conventional supervision, you are advised to use the "VOX" mode.
• The condition of the batteries is shown by the indicator (1). When the batteries are flat, the intensity fades and becomes red.

B/Receiver

• Set the power ON/OFF switch (9) to ON position to turn on the unit. The power on indicator (7) will light up green.
• Select the same channel as the emitter using knob (10).
• Place the receiver at a reasonable distance away from the transmitter to avoid feedback. Too close a distance will create a screeching sound.
• Once the unit receives a signal from the transmitter, the LED of the visual level meter (11) light up. The louder the baby's voice, the more number of LED will be lighted up.

This feature is useful in case the parents prefer to turn down the speaker volume to keep the environment quiet while still able to monitor the activity of baby.

• The condition of the batteries is shown by the indicator (7). When the batteries are flat, the intensity fades and becomes red.

NB.: If you hear noises other than your baby's, change to another channel both for the transmitter and receiver.

• For more convenience, the receiver can be carried around using the belt clip. To remove the clip follow diagram as shown.

IN CASE OF PROBLEMS
