B. Regularly clean the surfaces that come into contact with food and with the accessible draining systems.

C. If your refrigerator features a dispenser, clean the water tank if it has not been used for 48 hours.

D. Store raw meat and fish in proper containers in the freezer, so they do not come into contact with or leak on other food.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
• Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
• Do not remove the product serial number in order to keep proper traceability in case you need technical assistance.
• Remove all packaging assemblies, including securing tape, protective foam base and any other protective materials.
• Clean both the interior and exterior of the refrigerator using a damp cloth with warm water (a mild detergent may be added to the warm water).
• After levelling and cleaning the refrigerator, allow it to stand for about 2 hours before connecting it to the power supply. Once powered on, let the appliance cool for 2-3 hours before storing any food items.
• The new appliance smell will automatically disappear after the refrigerator has been in operation for some time.

3. INSTALLATION

• It is essential to maintain adequate clearance around the refrigerator as shown in Figure 2. This will ensure proper air circulation and optimal performance of the appliance.
• When handling the refrigerator, avoid any contact between the door and tools or objects that could cause damage.
• The refrigerator must be placed in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources such as radiators or ovens.
• Install the refrigerator on a flat, stable surface. If the floor is uneven, adjust the levelling feet until the appliance is stable and free from wobbling.
• It is not recommended to install the refrigerator in excessively cold environments, such as unheated garages during winter, as low temperatures may affect its proper operation.
• Removing the bottom foam base helps improve heat dissipation and reduces the risk of fire.

Reminder:

• Moving the refrigerator requires at least two people: one to lift the upper rear section and another to handle the bottom. Handling it alone can be dangerous and may lead to accidents.
• When moving the refrigerator, the bottom runner may damage and scratch the floor. When moving the refrigerator over long distances, secure all internal accessories with adhesive tape to prevent movement and potential damage during transport.
• Place the refrigerator in a position where vibration is minimal. For users in earthquake-prone areas, make sure the refrigerator is secured against a wall to prevent accidents.
• Allow sufficient clearance around the refrigerator. Insufficient space, placing objects on top or too close to the sides, or attaching items to the sides can affect heat dissipation, resulting in unnecessary power consumption and potential damage to walls and nearby objects. Contact between the rear of the refrigerator and the wall may also cause vibrations and noise.
• Adjust the front and levelling feet to ensure the refrigerator is level. An uneven refrigerator may cause vibrations and noise.

• Place the refrigerator in the coolest area of the room, away from heat-generating appliances, heating ducts, and direct sunlight.
• Allow hot food to cool to room temperature before storing in the refrigerator. Overloading the appliance forces the compressor to run longer.
• Food items that cool too slowly may lose quality or spoil.
• Ensure foods are properly wrapped and containers are dried before placing them in the refrigerator. This reduces frost build-up.
• Do not line refrigerator storage compartments with aluminium foil, wax paper, or paper towels. Liners interfere with cold air circulation, making the appliance less efficient. Organise and label food items to reduce door openings and lengthy searches. Remove as many items as needed at once and close the door promptly.

Note: This refrigerator includes a filter in the ventilation system that performs air sterilisation through ionisation, thus eliminating bacteria that cause unpleasant odours.

Initial start-up

When the refrigerator is switched on for the first time, the default temperature values are:

• Refrigerator compartment: 5 °C;
• Freezer compartment: -18 °C;

This icon will flash for a few seconds during the refrigerator's initial start-up. This indicates that the compressor has received the signal from the PCB control board to begin normal operation.

(The availability of this icon depends on the specific product model).

Functions

Lock function

Automatic activation: No need to press any touch icon. 30 seconds after the last touch, the lock function will be automatically activated, deactivating the control panel.

Manual activation: Press and hold the ○ touch icon for 3 seconds.

To disable the child lock: Press and hold the ○ touch icon for 3 seconds.

Locking the control panel

If no operation is performed on the control panel within 30 seconds, the display protection function will be activated, and the control panel will be automatically deactivated.

When the display is off, press a touch icon briefly to turn it on.

Press and hold the ○ touch icon to unlock the control panel.

Once unlocked, press this touch icon again to activate it.

Temperature settings

1) Setting the refrigerator compartment temperature (2 °C \~ 8 °C)

• In the unlocked state, press the ZONE touch icon repeatedly until the refrigerator compartment indicator light illuminates, then press the TEMP. touch icon to adjust the refrigerator compartment temperature.
• The refrigerator compartment temperature is set to vary between 2 °C and 8 °C, following this cyclical sequence: 02-03-04-05-06-06-07-08-02 °C.
• Select the appropriate temperature and stop pressing any touch icon to confirm the set temperature.

2) Setting the freezer compartment temperature (-24 °C \~ -15 °C)

In the unlocked state, press the ZONE touch icon repeatedly until the freezer compartment indicator light illuminates, then press the TEMP. touch icon to adjust the freezer compartment temperature.

• The freezer compartment temperature is set to vary between -24^ and -15^ , following this cyclical sequence: (-24) - (-23) - (-22) - (-21) - (-20) - (-19) - (-18) - (-17) - (-16) - (-15) - (-24) ^ .
• Select the appropriate temperature and stop pressing any touch icon to confirm the set temperature.

Fast Cool function

• When the refrigerator is unlocked, press the Function selection touch icon repeatedly until the ⚙️ indicator light flashes; then stop pressing and wait 3 seconds for the refrigerator compartment Fast Cool function to activate.
• You can deactivate the function using the same operation. Once activated, the refrigerator will automatically deactivate it after 2 hours.
• In the state, the set temperature of the refrigerator compartment is displayed as 2 °C until this function is deactivated.
• Set a different temperature than the set temperature to deactivate the function.
• The Fast Cool function will automatically deactivate when the refrigerator compartment doors remain open for more than 3 minutes. (When other functions are configured, the Fast Cool function may be automatically deactivated).

Fast Freeze function

• When the refrigerator is unlocked, press the Function selection touch icon repeatedly until the (*) indicator light flashes; then stop pressing and wait 3 seconds for the freezer compartment Fast Freeze function to activate.
• You can deactivate the function using the same operation. Once activated, the refrigerator will automatically deactivate it after 4 hours.
• The set temperature of the freezer compartment is displayed as -36^ until this function is deactivated.
• Set a different temperature than the set temperature to deactivate the function.
• The Fast Freeze function will automatically deactivate when the freezer compartment doors remain open for more than 3 minutes. (When other functions are configured, the Fast Freeze function may be automatically deactivated).

Holiday function

• When the refrigerator is unlocked, press the Function selection touch icon repeatedly until the indicator light flashes; then stop pressing and wait 3 seconds for the Holiday function to activate.
• You can deactivate the function using the same operation.

- When other functions are configured, the Holiday function ⚙ may be automatically deactivated.

Note: Before activating the Holiday function, remove all food from the refrigerator compartment. When the Holiday function is activated, the set refrigerator compartment temperature is displayed as "OF" (off) and the refrigerator will stop operating.

The freezer will continue to operate at the same temperature selected before activating the Holiday function.

Shabbat function (The availability of this function depends on the specific product model).

• In the child lock state , press the Function selection touch icon for about 10 seconds.
• In this mode:

* The refrigerator will continue to operate at the previously adjusted temperature settings.
* The interior light and control panel will turn off.
* The open door alarm will not be activated when opening or closing the doors.

To deactivate it, press and hold the Function selection touch icon ≡ for 10 seconds again. The interior light, open door alarm and control panel will resume normal operation.

Power failure memory function

In the event of a power failure, the current operating state will be saved. Once power is restored, the refrigerator will resume operation according to the settings prior to the power failure.

Open door alarm

If the refrigerator doors are not properly closed or remain open for more than 1 minute, an acoustic alarm will be heard. Press any touch icon to cancel the alarm, which will resume after 1 minute.

The alarm will stop when the refrigerator doors are properly closed.

High temperature warning in freezer compartment

• If, when turning on the refrigerator, the freezer compartment temperature is above -12 °C, the following will occur:
• The temperature zone indicator light for the freezer compartment will illuminate.
• The temperature shown on the temperature display will flash.
• To display the current temperature: Press any icon on the control panel. The freezer compartment temperature will be displayed for 10 seconds and then return to normal display state.

Food storage

Refrigerator compartment (2°C\~8°C)

- The refrigerator compartment is primarily used for storing short-term food items such as milk, eggs and bottled beverages.

ENGLISH

• Vegetables and fruits should be stored in the crisper drawer to prevent moisture loss.
• Cooked foods should be placed in storage bags before storing in the refrigerator to prevent increased energy consumption.

Freezer compartment (-24°C\~-15°C)

• The freezer compartment is used for storing items intended for long-term preservation.
• Fish and meat to be frozen should be cut into small pieces, packaged in preservation bags separately, and then placed in the freezer compartment.
• It is forbidden to place glass or sealed containers with liquid in the freezer compartment to prevent the risk of breakage or explosion.
• Fresh food should not be stored alongside frozen food to maintain optimal storage conditions and prevent cross-contamination.
• Do not place food near the freezer's inner wall to prevent food and wall from freezing together.

Note: Stored food must not obstruct the air duct outlet and return port to avoid compromising the cooling effect. In addition, before placing food in the refrigerator, make sure that water and overheated food have cooled to room temperature.

2. To close the refrigerator door, you must operate with the flip beam in the position shown in Figure 5A. Operating in the position shown in Figure 5B may damage the part or cause the door to close improperly.

3. The heating wire capable of preventing condensation is installed inside the flip beam. Overheating on the part's surface is normal and does not affect the refrigerator's normal operation.

Fitting and removing the accessories

Refrigerator compartment glass shelf

The shelf height is adjustable, which allows easy storage of items with different volumes. To remove it, pull the shelf slightly outwards and upwards. Fig. 6.

Crisper drawer

For storing vegetables and fruits. It can be removed by pulling it out.

Freezer drawer

For long-term storage of food, such as meat and fish. It can be removed by pulling outwards and lifting upwards. Fig. 7

Tips:

• It is recommended to cut large pieces of meat into smaller portions before storing, to avoid difficult cutting after freezing.
• Quick-freeze food items should be distributed evenly and stored together after freezing.

Refrigerator door bottle holder

For storing eggs, different bottled drinks and other products. It can be removed by lifting it slightly.

Note: When removing the bottle holder from the refrigerator door, avoid pulling it with force to prevent damage to the refrigerator.

Using the ice cube tray (The availability of this function depends on the specific product model).

• Fill the ice cube tray with 45 parts of water
• Place the ice cube tray in the top part of the freezer compartment so that it freezes as quickly as possible.
• Be careful when removing the ice cubes, do not bend the ice cube tray as it may break.
• Use a cloth to handle the ice cube tray to avoid freezing injuries to your fingers.

Replacing the light

Any replacement or maintenance of LED lamps must be carried out by Cecotec or similarly qualified personnel.

5. FOOD STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Use precautions

• The refrigerator may not operate consistently (there may be some defrosting of the contents, or the temperature may become too hot in the freezer compartment) if placed in locations with a temperature outside of the temperature range for which it's designed for a long period of time.
• The internal temperature may be affected by factors such as the location of the refrigerator, room temperature, and door opening frequency, etc., and you should take these factors into account if you decide to use any temperature-control device.
• Effervescent or carbonated drinks should not be stored in the freezer compartment or drawer of the refrigerator.

Food location

• Due to the circulation of cold air in the refrigerator, the temperature in each zone is different, so food must be placed in different zones.
• The refrigerator compartment is suitable to store food that does not need to be frozen, cooked food, beer, eggs, some seasonings that need to be kept cold, milk, fruit juice, etc. The crisper box is the best place to store fruit and vegetables.
• The freezer compartment is suitable to store ice cream, frozen foods, and foods that need to be kept for a long time.

Using the refrigerator compartment

• Shelves: to remove the shelves, first lift them up and then pull them out; to put them back, put them into their position before lowering them. Keep the rear edge of the shelf facing upwards to prevent food from coming into contact with the wall. When removing and fitting shelves, hold them firmly and handle them carefully to avoid damage.
• Refrigerator-compartment drawer: pull out the crisper box to access food. After using or cleaning the bottom shelf of the refrigerator (the drawer cover), put it back in place so that the internal temperature of the drawer is not affected.

Drawer-humidity control (depending on model)

• If your refrigerator is equipped with a drawer-humidity regulator, follow the instructions below:
• The humidity regulator of the drawer is designed to preserve the humidity and freshness of the vegetables.
• If you slide the humidity regulator to the right, more gaps will be exposed, and the drawer will have a lower humidity level.
• If you slide the humidity regulator to the left, less gaps will be exposed, and the drawer will have a higher humidity level.

Care for food storage

• Clean and dry food completely before storing it in the refrigerator. Before introducing food in the refrigerator, it is advisable to seal it to prevent water evaporation and thus keep fruit and vegetables fresh on the one hand, and to prevent odours on the other.
• Leave enough space between the food; if they are too close together, they will block the flow of cold air, which will affect the cooling effect. Do not store too much or too heavy food to prevent the shelves from bending. When storing food, leave a distance from the interior wall; do not place water-rich food too close to the inner wall of the refrigerator to prevent it from freezing on the interior wall.
• Food storage by category: place daily food items at the front of the shelf so that you can reduce the door opening time and avoid food spoilage due to expiry.
• Energy saving tips: let hot food cool down to room temperature before putting it in the refrigerator. Place frozen food in the refrigerator compartment to defrost it.

Storing fruits and vegetables

Please note that some types of fresh vegetables and fruits are sensitive to cold and therefore not suitable for storage in the refrigerator crisper box.

Using the freezer compartment

• The freezer-compartment temperature is kept at -18 °C, so it is advisable to store food that you wish to keep for a long period of time in the freezer compartment, always respecting the storage time indicated on the food packaging.
• The freezer-compartment drawers are suitable to store food which needs to be frozen. Large fish and meat should be cut into small pieces and placed in freezer bags before placing them in the freezer-compartment drawers.
• Let hot food cool down to room temperature before putting it in the freezer compartment.
• Do not place a glass container with liquid or sealed canned liquid in the freezer compartment to prevent them from exploding due to volume expansion after freezing the liquid.
• Divide food into small portions.
• Food should be packed or covered with suitable materials that are firm, tasteless, impermeable to air and water, non-toxic, and non-polluting to avoid cross-contamination and odour transfer.

Using the ice cube tray

- Place the ice cube tray in the upper part of the freezer compartment so that it freezes as quickly as possible.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• It is recommended to perform refrigerator maintenance once a month.
• Always unplug the refrigerator before cleaning.

Cleaning the interior and exterior

• Food residues in the refrigerator can cause undesired odours, so you should clean the refrigerator regularly. The refrigerator compartment should be cleaned once a month.
• Remove all shelves, the crisper box, etc., and clean them with a soft cloth or sponge dampened with warm water or neutral detergent.
• Clean the dust that accumulates on the rear panel and side plates of the refrigerator regularly.
• After using detergent, make sure you rinse it with clean water, and then dry it with a cloth.
• Do not use bristle brushes, steel wire brushes, detergent, soap powder, alkaline detergent, benzine, petrol, acid, hot water, or other corrosive elements to clean the refrigerator surface, door gasket, plastic decorative parts, etc. to avoid damage.
• Carefully dry the door gasket and clean the slot with a wooden stick wrapped with cotton.

If the refrigerator will not be used for a long period of time:

• Turn off the refrigerator and unplug it from the power supply.
• Remove all the food.
• Clean and dry the interior completely. To prevent mould or unpleasant odours, leave the door slightly open: lock it open or remove it if necessary.
• Store the appliance in a ventilated and dry place, away from heat sources; place the appliance carefully and do not place heavy objects on it.
• The unit must be kept out of the reach of children to prevent them from playing with it.
• Before cleaning, disconnect the power plug; do not connect or disconnect the power plug with your hands wet, as there is a risk of electric shock and injury. Do not spill water directly on the refrigerator to avoid rust, electrical leakage and accidents. Do not reach into the bottom of the refrigerator, as you may get scratched by the sharp metal corners.

Replacing the light bulb

The refrigerator has a LED light with low consumption and a long shelf life. In case of malfunction, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. The light bulb can only be replaced by the manufacturer.

Normal operating phenomena

1. The surface between the refrigerator and freezer compartments feels hot or warm on both sides and at the partition.

Cause: Refrigerator pipes (such as condenser and anti-fog pipes) are located on both sides and the front of the refrigerator for heat dissipation and to prevent condensation.

1. The refrigerator is too tight and cannot be opened easily.

Cause: When the refrigerator door is closed and immediately reopened, warm air enters the refrigerator and contracts, creating a pressure difference. This makes it difficult to open the door immediately but becomes easier after a short while.

1. There is a water sound in the refrigerator.

Cause: Water wave sounds may occur when the compressor starts or stops, and when water is produced during the defrosting process.
