Regular cleaning will prolong their lifetime. The lower closure seal can be taken out for cleaning. Press it to remove excess water and dry it, then fit it back into the appliance, pressing it in place. The upper closure seal is glued to the appliance, so it should be cleaned with a damp cloth and pressed to remove excess water. WARNING: Leave the lid open when the unit is not in use, as closing the unit deforms the seals and it will not create a vacuum correctly. You should reverse the position of the lower seal from time to time. To do this, remove the seal and replace it the other way round.
