Frequently Asked Questions - Fidelio E6 PHILIPS

How to connect the rear speakers to the Fidelio E6 system?
The rear speakers are wireless and pair automatically with the soundbar. Make sure they are turned on (switch at the back) and place them within 10 meters of the soundbar. If connection fails, press and hold the PAIR button on the rear speaker for 3 seconds.
How to reset the Fidelio E6 system?
To reset the soundbar to factory settings, press and hold the VOLUME - button and the SOURCE button on the soundbar for 5 seconds until the indicator flashes. The system will restart.
What sound modes are available?
The Fidelio E6 offers several sound modes: Movie, Music, Voice and Night (reduces bass to avoid disturbance). You can select them via the remote control or the app.
How to connect a device via Bluetooth?
Enable Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet). On the soundbar, press the SOURCE button until Bluetooth is selected. The indicator flashes. Search for 'Philips Fidelio E6' in the list and pair. The default password is 0000.
Can I mount the soundbar on the wall?
Yes, the soundbar is compatible with a wall mount (not included). Use screws suitable for your wall (not included) and attach the soundbar through the mounting holes on the back. Consult the installation guide for dimensions.
How to use the Philips app for the Fidelio E6?
Download the Philips Sound app on your smartphone. Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network as the soundbar (for network functions) or use Bluetooth. The app allows you to control sound modes, equalizer settings, and stream music.
Sound comes from the soundbar but not from the rear speakers, what to do?
First check that the rear speakers are on (green LED). If the LED is red, they are not connected. Reset the link: on the soundbar, press and hold the PAIR button (on the back) for 5 seconds, then do the same on each rear speaker. If the problem persists, move the speakers away from sources of Wi-Fi interference.
Which HDMI cable to use to connect the Fidelio E6 to my TV?
Use a high-speed HDMI cable (category 2) with ARC (Audio Return Channel) support. Connect it to the HDMI ARC port on the soundbar and to the HDMI ARC port on the TV. If your TV does not have ARC, use a Toslink optical cable (not included).
Where to place the subwoofer for best performance?
Place the subwoofer on the floor, near a wall or in a corner of the room to reinforce the bass. Avoid obstructing it with furniture. It communicates wirelessly with the soundbar, so it can be placed up to 15 meters away (through a wall, prefer a direct line of sight).
How to clean the speaker grilles?
Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment on low power to remove dust from the grilles. For plastic surfaces, a slightly damp microfiber cloth (well wrung) is suitable. Never use chemicals or scrub aggressively.
