How to start the DSE 260 sander?
Push the slide switch to the left in the direction of the arrow: the machine locks on and stays running. To stop it, press the Off button on the slide switch; it automatically returns to position 0.
How to adjust the sander speed?
Speed is adjusted using the thumbwheel: position 1 for minimum speed, position 6 for maximum speed. Adjust the speed to the material being worked.
How to change the sanding pad?
Disconnect the machine. Turn the pad 15°, then turn it in the direction of the arrow until it snaps into place. To remove it, press the locking button and remove the pad by rotating. The blade pad is mounted in the same way.
How to mount an abrasive disc?
Disconnect the machine. Simply press the suitable abrasive disc onto the Velcro coated pad. Make sure the holes in the disc align with those on the pad for efficient dust extraction.
Can the sander be used without dust extraction?
Yes, dust extraction is not mandatory. For jobs producing a lot of dust, connect a Ø 35 mm dust extraction hose using the supplied adapter.

Mains connectionConnect only to a single-phase AC current supply and only to the mains voltage specified on the rating plate. Connection to sockets without earth protection is possible as the appliance features protective insulation to DIN 57 740/ VDE 0740 and CEE 20. Radio suppression complies with the European standard EN 55014. When fitting the plug, make sure that the brown (live) wire of this appliance is connected to the plug terminal marked L or coloured red, and the blue (neutral) wire of this appliance is connected to the plug terminal marked N or coloured black. Under no circumstances must the wires of this appliance be connected to the earth terminal of the plug marked either E, with the earth symbol, or coloured green or green/yellow.
Switching on and offSwitching on: Move the slide switch to the left in direction of arrow. The switch engages. Switching off: Depress "OFF" button of the slide switch. The switch moves automatically back to the 0-position.
Electronics Speed selectionDue to the electronic the speed can be controlled by setting the wheel to suit the various materials. The speed is adjusted by means of the electronic thumb wheel. 1 = lowest r.p.m. 6 = largest r.p.m.
Mounting the base plate/ lamella base plateAlways disconnect the plug from the socket before carrying out any work on the machine. Mount the base plate (turned approx. 15°) to the tool reception (as shown in illustration) and turn it in direction of arrow until it locks.
