USER MANUAL VT-3403 B Vitek

For additional protection it is reasonable to install a residual current device (RCD) with nominal operation current not exceeding 30 mA. To install an RCD, contact a specialist.

SAFETY MEASURES

Read this instruction manual carefully before using the unit and keep it for the whole operation period. Use the unit according to its intended purpose only, as it is stated in this user manual. Mishandling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to his/her property.

  • Before connecting the unit to the mains, make sure that the voltage specified on the unit corresponds to your home mains voltage.
  • Place the unit on a flat moisture-resistant surface away from sources of heat and open flame.
  • Provide that the power cord does not contact with hot surfaces and sharp furniture edges.
  • Do not use the unit outdoors. Unplug the unit when you are not using it.
  • Do not touch the chopping knife; the knife blades are very sharp and dangerous!
  • In case the knives suddenly stop rotating, be sure to unplug the unit first and only after that remove the ingredients which block the knives' rotation.
  • Do not overfill the chopper bowl with products and watch the level of liquids.
  • The blender set allows quick and effective operation. However the operation time

of the unit should not exceed 1 minute. Make at least a 3-5 minute break between operation cycles.

• Maximum temperature of the processed products should not exceed +40°C.
- Do not switch the unit on without food.
- Remove products and pour out liquids from the blender bowl only after complete stop of the knives.
- When disconnecting the power plug from the mains, do not pull the cord, but hold the plug with your hand.
- Do not touch the motor unit body and the power plug with wet hands.
- Do not use the unit near the kitchen sink; do not expose the unit to moisture.
- To avoid electric shock, do not immerse the power cord, the power plug or the motor unit body into water or any other liquids.
• If the unit is dropped into water:
- do not touch the water;
- unplug the unit immediately, only after that you may take the unit out of the water;
- apply to an authorized service center for testing or repairing the unit.
- Do not allow children to touch the motor unit body and the power cord during operation.
- Do not leave children unattended not to let them use the unit as a toy.
- This unit is not intended for usage by children under 8 years of age.
- During operation and breaks between operation cycles, the unit should be placed out of reach of children under 8 years of age.
- Children aged 8 and over as well as disabled persons can use this unit only under supervision of a person who is responsible for their safety, if they are given all the necessary and understandable instructions concerning the safe usage of the unit and information about danger that can be caused by its improper usage.
- For children safety reasons do not leave polyethylene bags, used as a packaging, unattended.
- Attention! Do not allow children to play with polyethylene bags or packaging film. Danger of suffocation!
- Check the power cord and plug integrity periodically. Do not use the unit if the motor unit body, the power plug or the power cord have damages.

  • Do not disassemble and repair the unit by yourself. If you find any damages, unplug the unit and apply to an authorized service center.
  • To avoid damages, transport the unit in original package only.
  • Keep the unit out of reach of children and disabled persons.

After unit transportation or storage at low temperature, it is necessary to keep it for at least two hours at room temperature before switching on.

  • Unpack the unit completely and remove any stickers that can prevent unit operation.
  • Check the unit for damages; do not use it in case of damages.
  • Before switching the unit on, make sure that your home mains voltage corresponds to the unit operating voltage.
  • Before using the unit, wash the removable blender attachment (1), the whisk (7), the chopper bowl (9), the chopping knife (10), the lid (12) and the measuring cup (13) with warm water and a neutral detergent.
  • Wipe the motor unit (2), the whisk gear (6) and the geared lid (8) with a soft slightly damp cloth and then wipe them dry.

Attention!

Do not immerse the motor unit (2), the whisk gear (6), the geared lid (8), the power cord and the power plug into water or any other liquids.

Do not put the attachments and bowls in a dishwashing machine.

Continuous operation time

Continuous operation time with attachments should not exceed 1 minute. When chopping products in the chopper bowl (9), the operation time should not exceed 10 seconds.

Make at least a 3-5 minute break between operation cycles.

USING THE BLENDER ATTACHMENT

WARNING: Before installing the attachments, make sure that the power plug is not inserted into the mains socket.

  • Attach the detachable blender attachment (1) to the motor unit (2), matching the mark ▼ on the motor unit with the mark on the attachment and turn it clockwise till bumping. The mark ▼ on the motor unit should match the mark on the blender attachment in the fixed position.
  • Insert the power plug into the mains socket.
  • Immerse the detachable blender attachment (1) into the bowl with products that you want to chop/mix. You can use the measuring cup (13) as a bowl.
  • Set the required operation speed using the control knob (5). To switch the unit on, press and hold the «|» button (4). Use this operation mode for mixing liquid products.
  • If you press and hold the «II» button (3), the unit will operate at maximum rotation speed. Use this operation mode for combined processing of liquid and hard products.

Notes:

Products should be put into the bowl before the unit is switched on. The amount of processed products should not exceed 2/3 of the capacity of the bowl in which they are processed.

Before you start chopping/mixing, we recommend to peel fruit, remove inedible parts, such as stones, and to cut fruit into cubes approximately 2x2 cm in size.

If food processing is hindered, add some liquid.

— After you finish using the blender, unplug the unit and remove the detachable blender attachment (1) by turning it so that the mark ▼ on the motor unit (2) is opposite the mark 📋

Attention!

Do not remove the detachable blender attachment (1) during operation.

To avoid damage of the blades, do not process too hard products such as cereals, rice, spices, coffee beans, cheese, frozen food and ice.

When you use the blender attachment and the products are hard to chop, add some water, if it is possible.

USING THE WHISK

Use the whisk attachment (7) only to beat cream, make biscuit dough or for mixing ready desserts.

— Insert the whisk (7) into the gear (6).
— Install the gear (6) on the motor unit (2) so that the mark ▼ is opposite the mark. Turn the motor unit clockwise till bumping. The mark ▼ should match the mark in fixed position.

— Insert the power plug into the mains socket.

— Sink the whisk (7) into the bowl with products.

— Set the required operation speed using the control knob (5). To switch the unit on, press and hold the «|» button (4). Use this operation mode for mixing liquid products.

— If you press and hold the «II» button (3), the unit will operate at maximum rotation speed.

— After you finish using the unit, take the power plug out of the mains socket and disconnect the whisk (7) from the gear (6). Remove the gear (6) from the motor unit (2) turning it so that the mark ▼ is opposite the mark □.

Attention!

- Do not use the whisk (7) to knead stiff dough.

- Products should be put into the bowl before the unit is switched on.

USING THE CHOPPER

The chopper is used to chop meat, onion, herbs, garlic, vegetables and fruits.

Attention!

- Do not chop very hard products, such as nutmegs, coffee beans and cereals.

Before you start chopping:

  • Remove bones, sinews and cartilage from meat.
  • Cut meat, onion, garlic, carrots etc. into approximately equal slices.
  • When chopping greens, remove stems of herbs.

Chopping

WARNING: Before assembling the chopper, make sure that the power plug is not inserted into the mains socket.

Caution! The chopping knife (10) is very sharp! Always hold the chopping knife (10) only by the upper plastic end.

  • Set the chopping knife (10) on the axis (11).
    • Put the products into the bowl (9).
  • Place the geared lid (8) on the bowl (9) and rotate the geared lid (8) clockwise until it is fixed.
  • Connect the motor unit (2) to the geared lid (8) matching the mark ▼ with the mark. Turn the motor unit so that the mark ▼ is opposite the mark.
  • Set the required operation speed with the control knob (5). To switch the unit on, press and hold the «|» button (4).
  • When the button (3) «II» is pressed, the unit operates at maximal rotation speed.
  • During operation hold the motor unit (2) with one hand and the chopper bowl (9) with the other hand.
  • After using the chopper disconnect the motor unit (2) from the geared lid (8) turning it so that the mark ▼ is opposite the mark □.
  • Remove the geared lid (8) rotating it counterclockwise.
  • Carefully remove the chopping knife (10) taking it by the upper plastic end.
    • Take the chopped products out of the chopper bowl.

Attention! Strictly follow the described sequence of operations.

Maximal volume of the products to process should not exceed 600 ml.

CLEANING

Attention! The blades of the chopping knife (10) are very sharp and dangerous. Handle the chopping knife (10) very carefully!

• Unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Remove the attachments.
- Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the motor unit (2) and the reduction gears (6, 8), then wipe them dry.
- After processing salty or sour products, it is necessary to rinse the chopping knife (10) and the detachable blender attachment (1) with water right after use.

- While possessing products with strong dyeing properties (for instance, carrot or beet-root), the attachments and the bowls can get colored; wipe them with a cloth dampened in vegetable oil.

- Wash the attachments (1, 7), the chopper bowl (9), the lid (12) and the measuring cup (13) in warm soapy water, rinse and dry them. DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR UNIT (2) AND THE GEARS (6, 8) INTO ANY LIQUIDS, DO NOT WASH THEM UNDER WATER JET OR IN A DISHWASHING MACHINE.
